3:1 | And I coulde not speake vnto you brethren as vnto spiritual, but as vnto carnal, euen as it were to babes in Christ: |
3:2 | I gaue you milke to drinke, & not meat. For ye then were not stronge, no neyther yet are. For ye are yet carnall. |
3:3 | As longe verelye as there is amonge you enuiynge, stryfe and dissencion: are ye not carnall, and walke after the maner of men? |
3:4 | As long as one sayeth, I holde of Paul, and another I am of Apollo, are ye not carnall? |
3:5 | What is Paule? What thinge is Apollo? Dulye ministres are they, by whom ye beleued, euen as the Lorde gaue euerye man grace. |
3:6 | I haue planted, Apollo watred: but God gaue the increase. |
3:7 | So then neyther is he that planteth anye thinge neyther he that watreth: but God that gaue the increase. |
3:8 | He that planteth and he that wathereth, are neither better then the other. Euerye man yet shall receyue hys rewarde accordynge to hys laboure. |
3:9 | We are Goddes labourer, ye are Goddes husbandrye ye are Goddes buyldinge. |
3:10 | According to the grace of God geuen vnto me, as a wyse buylder haue I layde the foundation. And another buylte theron. But let euery man take hede how he buildeth vpon. |
3:11 | For other foundation can no man laie, then that whiche is layde, whiche is Iesus Christ. |
3:12 | Yf any man buylde on this foundacion, golde, syluer, precyous stones timber, haye or stobble: |
3:13 | euerye mans worke shall appeare. For the daye shal declare it, & it shalbe shewed in fyre. And the fyre shall trye euery mannes worke, what it is. |
3:14 | Yf any mannes worke that he hath buylt vpon, byde: he shall receiue a rewarde. |
3:15 | If any mannes worke burne, he shall suffer losse: but he shalbe safe him selfe: neuerthelesse yet as it were thorow fyre. |
3:16 | Are ye not ware that ye are the temple of God, and how that the spyryte of God dwelleth in you? |
3:17 | Yf anye man defyle the temple of God him shall God destroy. For the temple of God is holy, whyche temple ye are. |
3:18 | Let no man deceyue hym selfe. Yf anye man seme, wyse amonge you, let hym be a fole in thys worlde that he maye be wyse. |
3:19 | For the wysdome of this worlde is folyshnes wyth God. For it is wrytten: he compaseth the wyse in theyr craftynes. |
3:20 | And agayne, God knoweth the thoughtes of the wyse that they be vayne. |
3:21 | Therfore let no man reioice in men. For all thinges are youres |
3:22 | whether it be Paule, other Apollo, other Cephas: whether it be the world, other lyfe, other deathe, whether they be present thynges or thinges to come: all are youres, |
3:23 | and ye are Christes & Christ is Gods. |
3:1 | And I coulde not speake vnto you brethren, as vnto spirituall, but as vnto carnall [eue] as vnto babes in Christe. |
3:2 | I gaue you mylke to drynke, and not meate: For ye then were not stronge, neither are ye as yet. |
3:3 | For ye are carnal. Seing then, there is among you enuying, & stryfe, and sectes, are ye not carnall, and walke as men? |
3:4 | For whyle one sayth, I am of Paul, and another, I am of Apollo, are ye not carnall? |
3:5 | What is Paul? what is Apollo? Only ministers are they by whom ye beleued, euen as the Lorde gaue to euery man. |
3:6 | I haue planted, Apollo watered: but God gaue the encrease. |
3:7 | So then, neither is he that planteth any thyng, neither he that watreth: but God that geueth the encrease. |
3:8 | He that planteth, & he that watreth, are one, and euery man shal receaue his rewarde accordyng to his labour. |
3:9 | For we together are Gods labourers, ye are Gods husbandrie [ye are] Gods buyldyng. |
3:10 | Accordyng to the grace of God geuen vnto me, as a wise maister builder haue I layde the foundation, and another buyldeth theron. But let euery man take heede howe he buyldeth vpon. |
3:11 | For other foundation can no man lay, then that that is layde, which is Iesus Christe. |
3:12 | If any man buylde on this foundation, golde, syluer, precious stones, tymber, haye [or] stubble: |
3:13 | Euery mans worke shal appeare. The day shall declare it, because it shalbe reuealed by the fire: And the fire shall trie euery mans worke what it is. |
3:14 | If any mans worke that he hath built vpon abyde, he shall receaue a reward. |
3:15 | If any mans worke burne, he shall suffer losse, but he shalbe safe hym selfe: neuertheles, yet as it were through fire. |
3:16 | Knowe ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirite of God dwelleth in you? |
3:17 | If any man defyle the temple of God, hym shall God destroy. For the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are. |
3:18 | Let no man deceaue him selfe. Yf any man among you seeme to be wise in this worlde, let hym be a foole, that he may be wyse. |
3:19 | For the wisedome of this worlde, is foolishnesse with God. For it is writte: He compasseth the wise in their own craftynesse. |
3:20 | And agayne The Lorde knoweth the thoughtes of the wyse, that they be vayne. |
3:21 | Therfore, let no man reioyce in men: For all thynges are yours: |
3:22 | Whether it be Paul, or Apollo, or Cephas, either the worlde, either lyfe, or death, whether they be present thinges, or thynges to come, all are yours: |
3:23 | And ye are Christes, and Christe (is) Gods. |
3:1 | And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual, but as to carnal, even as to babes in Christ. |
3:2 | I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. |
3:3 | For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? |
3:4 | For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? |
3:5 | Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? |
3:6 | I have planted, Apollos watered: but God hath given the increase. |
3:7 | So then, neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth: but God that giveth the increase. |
3:8 | Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward, according to his own labor. |
3:9 | For we are laborers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. |
3:10 | According to the grace of God which is given to me, as a wise master-builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth upon it. But let every man take heed how he buildeth upon it. |
3:11 | For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. |
3:12 | Now if any man buildeth upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; |
3:13 | Every man's work will be made manifest: for the day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will try every man's work, of what sort it is. |
3:14 | If any man's work abideth which he hath built upon it, he shall receive a reward. |
3:15 | If any man's work shall be burned, he will suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. |
3:16 | Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? |
3:17 | If any man defileth the temple of God, him will God destroy: for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. |
3:18 | Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. |
3:19 | For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. |
3:20 | And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. |
3:21 | Therefore let no man glory in men: for all things are yours: |
3:22 | Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; |
3:23 | And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's. |
