1 Corinthians - Chapter: 3

>
3:1And Y, britheren, myyte not speke to you as to spiritual men, but as to fleischli men;
3:2as to litle children in Crist, Y yaf to you mylk drynke, not mete; for ye myyten not yit, nether ye moun now, for yit ye ben fleischli.
3:3For while strijf is among you, whether ye ben not fleischli, and ye gon aftir man?
3:4For whanne summe seith, Y am of Poul, another, But Y am of Apollo, whethir ye ben not men? What therfor is Apollo, and what Poul?
3:5Thei ben mynystris of hym, to whom ye han bileuyd; and to ech man as God hath youun.
3:6Y plauntide, Apollo moystide, but God yaf encreessyng.
3:7Therfor nether he that plauntith is ony thing, nethir he that moistith, but God that yiueth encreessyng.
3:8And he that plauntith, and he that moistith, ben oon; and ech schal take his owne mede, aftir his trauel.
3:9For we ben the helperis of God; ye ben the erthetiliyng of God, ye ben the bildyng of God.
3:10Aftir the grace `of God that is youun to me, as a wise maistir carpenter Y settide the foundement; and another bildith aboue. But ech man se, hou he bildith aboue.
3:11For no man may sette another foundement, outtakun that that is sett, which is Crist Jhesus.
3:12For if ony bildith ouer this foundement, gold, siluer, preciouse stoonys, stickis, hey, or stobil, euery mannus werk schal be open;
3:13for the dai of the Lord schal declare, for it schal be schewid in fier; the fier schal preue the werk of ech man, what maner werk it is.
3:14If the werk of ony man dwelle stille, which he bildide aboue, he schal resseyue mede.
3:15If ony mannus werk brenne, he schal suffre harm; but he schal be saaf, so netheles as bi fier.
3:16Witen ye not, that ye ben the temple of God, and the spirit of God dwellith in you?
3:17And if ony defoulith the temple of God, God schal leese hym; for the temple of God is hooli, which ye ben.
3:18No man disseyue hym silf. If ony man among you is seyn to be wiys in this world, be he maad a fool, that he be wijs.
3:19For the wisdom of this world is foli anentis God; for it is writun, Y schal catche wise men in her fel wisdom;
3:20and eft, The Lord knowith the thouytis of wise men, for tho ben veyn.
3:21Therfor no man haue glorie in men.
3:22For alle thingis ben youre, ethir Poul, ether Apollo, ether Cefas, ether the world, ether lijf, ether deth, ether thingis present, ethir thingis to comynge; for alle thingis ben youre,
3:23and ye ben of Crist, and Crist is of God.

3:1And I could not speake vnto you, brethren, as vnto spirituall men, but as vnto carnall, euen as vnto babes in Christ.
3:2I gaue you milke to drinke, and not meat: for yee were not yet able to beare it, neither yet nowe are yee able.
3:3For yee are yet carnall: for whereas there is among you enuying, and strife, and diuisions, are ye not carnall, and walke as men?
3:4For when one sayeth, I am Pauls, and another, I am Apollos, are yee not carnall?
3:5Who is Paul then? and who is Apollos, but the ministers by whome yee beleeued, and as the Lord gaue to euery man?
3:6I haue planted, Apollos watred, but God gaue the increase.
3:7So then, neither is hee that planteth any thing, neither hee that watreth, but God that giueth the increase.
3:8And he that planteth, and he that watreth, are one, and euery man shall receiue his wages, according to his labour.
3:9For we together are Gods labourers: yee are Gods husbandrie, and Gods building.
3:10According to the grace of God giuen to mee, as a skilfull master builder, I haue laide the foundation, and another buildeth thereon: but let euery man take heede how he buildeth vpon it.
3:11For other foundation can no man laie, then that which is laied, which is Iesus Christ.
3:12And if any man builde on this foundation, golde, siluer, precious stones, timber, haye, or stubble,
3:13Euery mans worke shalbe made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shalbe reueiled by the fire: and the fire shall trie euery mans worke of what sort it is.
3:14If any mans worke, that he hath built vpon, abide, he shall receiue wages.
3:15If any mans worke burne, he shall lose, but he shalbe saued himselfe: neuerthelesse yet as it were by the fire.
3:16Knowe ye not that ye are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
3:17If any man destroy the Temple of God, him shall God destroy: for the Temple of God is holy, which ye are.
3:18Let no man deceiue himselfe: If any man among you seeme to be wise in this world, let him be a foole, that he may be wise.
3:19For the wisdome of this worlde is foolishnesse with God: for it is written, He catcheth the wise in their owne craftinesse.
3:20And againe, The Lord knoweth that the thoughtes of the wise be vaine.
3:21Therefore let no man reioyce in men: for all things are yours.
3:22Whether it be Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death: whether they be things present, or thinges to come, euen all are yours,
3:23And ye Christes, and Christ Gods.

3:1And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, even as to babes in Christ.
3:2I have fed you with milk and not with solid food; because until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able;
3:3because you are still carnal. Because where there is envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and walk like men?
3:4Because when one says, "I am of Paul," and another, "I am of Apollos," are you not carnal?
3:5Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each person?
3:6I have planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.
3:7So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.
3:8Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
3:9Because, we are God's coworkers; you are God's field, you are God's building.
3:10According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it.
3:11Because no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
3:12Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
3:13each one's work will be revealed; because the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is.
3:14If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
3:15If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
3:16Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
3:17If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. Because the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
3:18Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may be wise.
3:19Because the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. Because it is written, "He traps the wise in their own craftiness";
3:20and again, "The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain."
3:21Therefore let no one boast in men. Because all things are yours:
3:22whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come; all are yours.
3:23And you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.
