1 Corinthians - Chapter: 6

>
6:1Dare any of you, hauing a matter against another, goe to law before the vniust, and not before the Saints?
6:2Do ye not know that the Saints shall iudge the world? And if the world shalbe iudged by you, are ye vnworthy to iudge the smallest matters?
6:3Know ye not that we shall iudge Angels? How much more things that perteine to this life?
6:4If then yee haue iudgements of things perteining to this life, set them to iudge who are least esteemed in the Church.
6:5I speake to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man amongst you? no not one that shall bee able to iudge betweene his brethren?
6:6But brother goeth to law with brother, & that before the vnbeleeuers?
6:7Now therefore, there is vtterly a fault among you, because yee goe to law one with another: Why doe ye not rather take wrong? Why doe yee not rather suffer your selues to be defrauded?
6:8Nay, you do wrong and defraud, and that your brethren.
6:9Know yee not that the vnrighteous shall not inherite the kingdome of God? Be not deceiued: neither fornicatours, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselues with mankinde,
6:10Nor theeues, nor couetous, nor drunkards, nor reuilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
6:11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are iustified in the Name of the Lord Iesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
6:12All things are lawfull vnto mee, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawfull for mee, but I will not bee brought vnder the power of any.
6:13Meats for the belly, and the belly for meates: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord: and the Lord for the body.
6:14And God hath both raised vp the Lord, and will also raise vp vs by his owne power.
6:15Know yee not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
6:16What, know ye not that he which is ioyned to an harlot, is one body? for two (saith he) shalbe one flesh.
6:17But hee that is ioyned vnto the Lord, is one spirit.
6:18Flee fornication: Euery sinne that a man doeth, is without the body: but he that committeth fornication, sinneth against his owne body.
6:19What, know ye not that your body is the Temple of the holy Ghost which is in you, which yee haue of God, and ye are not your owne?
6:20For yee are bought with a price: therefore glorifie God in your body, and in your spirit, which are Gods.

6:1How dare one off you hauynge busynes with another, go to lawe before the vnrighteous, and not before the sayntes?
6:2Do ye not knowe that the sayntes shal iudge the worlde? Yf the worlde then shalbe iudged off you, are ye not good ynough to iudge small matters?
6:3Knowe ye not that we shal iudge the angels? how moch more thinges that pertayne to the teporall life?
6:4Therfore yf ye haue iudgmentes of temporall matters, take them that are despysed in the congregacion, and set them to be iudges.
6:5This I saye to youre shame. Is there vtterly no wyse man amoge you? What not one at all, that can iudge betwene brother & brother?
6:6but one brother goeth to lawe with another, and that before the vnbeleuers?
6:7Now therfore is there vtterly a faute amoge you, that ye go to lawe one with another. Why rather suffre ye not wronge? Why suffre ye not youre selues rather to be defrauded?
6:8but ye youre selues do wroge and defraude, and that euen the brethre.
6:9Knowe ye not that ye vnrighteous shal not inheret the kyngdome of God? Be not disceaued. Nether whoremongers, ner worshippers off ymages, ner breakers off wedlocke, ner weaklinges, nether abusers of them selues with mankynde,
6:10ner theues, nether the couetous, ner drokardes, ner cursed speakers, ner extorcioners shal inheret the kyngdome of God.
6:11And soch haue some of you bene, but ye are wasshed, ye are sanctified, ye are made righteous by the name of the LORDE Iesus, and by the sprete of oure God.
6:12I maye do all thinges, but all thinges are not profitable. I maye do all thinges, but I wil be broughte vnder no mas power.
6:13Meates are ordeyned for ye bely, & the bely for meates. But God shal destroye both it and them. The body belongeth not vnto whordome, but vnto the LORDE, and the LORDE vnto the body
6:14God hath raysed vp the LORDE, and shal rayse vs vp also by his power.
6:15Knowe ye not that youre bodies are the mebres of Christ? Shal I now take the membres of Christ, and make them the membres of an harlot? God forbyd.
6:16Or do ye not knowe, that he which cleueth vnto an harlot, is one body? For they shalbe two ( sayeth he) in one flesshe.
6:17But he that cleueth vnto the LORDE, is one sprete.
6:18Fle whordome. All synnes yt a man doth, are without the body. But he that commytteth whordome, synneth agaynst his awne body.
6:19Or knowe ye not that youre body is the temple of the holy goost? Whom ye haue of God, and are not youre awne?
6:20For ye are dearly boughte. Prayse ye God therfore in yor body & in yor sprete, which are Gods.

6:1Dar any of you that hath a cause ayens another, be demed at wickid men, and not at hooli men?
6:2Whether ye witen not, that seyntis schulen deme of this world? And if the world schal be demed bi you, be ye vnworthi to deme of the leste thingis?
6:3Witen ye not, that we schulen deme aungels? hou myche more worldli thingis?
6:4Therfor if ye han worldli domes, ordeyne ye tho contemptible men, that ben in the chirche, to deme.
6:5Y seie to make you aschamed. So ther is not ony wise man, that may deme bitwixe a brothir and his brothir;
6:6but a brothir with brothir stryueth in dom, and that among vnfeithful men.
6:7And now trespas is algatis in you, for ye han domes among you. Whi rather take ye no wrong? whi rather suffre ye not disseit?
6:8But and ye doen wrong, and doen fraude, and that to britheren.
6:9Whether ye witen not, that wickid men schulen not welde the kyngdom of God? Nyle ye erre; nethir letchours, nether men that seruen mawmetis, nether auouteris,
6:10nether letchouris ayen kynde, nether thei that doon letcheri with men, nether theues, nether auerouse men, nethir `ful of drunkenesse, nether curseris, nether rauenours, schulen welde the kyngdom of God.
6:11And ye weren sum tyme these thingis; but ye ben waischun, but ye ben halewid, but ye ben iustefied in the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, and in the spirit of oure God.
6:12Alle thingis ben leeueful to me, but not alle thingis ben spedeful. Alle thingis ben leeueful to me, but Y schal not be brouyt doun vndur ony mannus power.
6:13Mete to the wombe, and the wombe to metis; and God schal distruye bothe this and that. And the bodi not to fornycacioun, but to the Lord, and the Lord to the bodi.
6:14For God reiside the Lord, and schal reise vs bi his vertu.
6:15Witen ye not, that youre bodies ben membris of Crist? Schal Y thanne take the membris of Crist, and schal Y make the membris of an hoore? God forbede.
6:16Whether ye witen not, that he that cleueth to an hoore, is maad o bodi? For he seith, Ther schulen be tweyne in o fleisch.
6:17And he that cleueth to the Lord, is o spirit.
6:18Fle ye fornycacioun; al synne what euere synne a man doith, is with out the bodi; but he that doith fornycacioun, synneth ayens his bodi.
6:19Whether ye witen not, that youre membris ben the temple of the Hooli Goost, that is in you, whom ye han of God, and ye ben not youre owne?
6:20For ye ben bouyt with greet prijs. Glorifie ye, and bere ye God in youre bodi.
