1 Corinthians - Chapter: 12

12:1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
12:2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
12:3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
12:4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
12:5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
12:6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
12:7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
12:8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
12:9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
12:10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
12:11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
12:12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
12:13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
12:14For the body is not one member, but many.
12:15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
12:16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
12:17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
12:18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
12:19And if they were all one member, where were the body?
12:20But now are they many members, yet but one body.
12:21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
12:22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
12:23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
12:24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
12:25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
12:26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
12:27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
12:28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
12:29Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
12:30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
12:31But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

12:1Now concerning spirituall giftes, brethren, I would not haue you ignorant.
12:2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, and were caried away vnto the dumme Idoles, as ye were led.
12:3Wherefore, I declare vnto you, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Iesus execrable: also no man can say that Iesus is the Lord, but by the holy Ghost.
12:4Now there are diuersities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
12:5And there are diuersities of administrations, but the same Lord,
12:6And there are diuersities of operations, but God is the same which worketh all in all.
12:7But the manifestation of the Spirit is giuen to euery man, to profite withall.
12:8For to one is giuen by the Spirit the word of wisdome: and to an other the word of knowledge, by the same Spirit:
12:9And to another is giuen faith by the same Spirit: and to another the giftes of healing, by the same Spirit:
12:10And to another the operations of great workes: and to another, prophecie: and to another, the discerning of spirits: and to another, diuersities of tongues: and to another, the interpretation of tongues.
12:11And all these thinges worketh one and the selfe same Spirit, distributing to euery man seuerally as he will.
12:12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, which is one, though they be many, yet are but one body: euen so is Christ.
12:13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we bee Iewes, or Grecians, whether we be bonde, or free, and haue bene all made to drinke into one Spirit.
12:14For the body also is not one member, but many.
12:15If the foote would say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?
12:16And if the eare would say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?
12:17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smellling?
12:18But nowe hath God disposed the members euery one of them in the bodie at his owne pleasure.
12:19For if they were all one member, where were the body?
12:20But now are there many members, yet but one body.
12:21And the eye cannot say vnto the hand, I haue no neede of thee: nor the head againe to the feete, I haue no neede of you.
12:22Yea, much rather those members of the body, which seeme to be more feeble, are necessarie.
12:23And vpon those members of the body, which wee thinke most vnhonest, put wee more honestie on: and our vncomely parts haue more comelinesse on.
12:24For our comely partes neede it not: but God hath tempered the body together, and hath giuen the more honour to that part which lacked,
12:25Lest there should be any diuision in the body: but that the members shoulde haue the same care one for another.
12:26Therefore if one member suffer, all suffer with it: if one member be had in honour, all the members reioyce with it.
12:27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members for your part.
12:28And God hath ordained some in the Church: as first Apostles, secondly Prophetes, thirdly teachers, then them that doe miracles: after that, the giftes of healing, helpers, gouernours, diuersitie of tongues.
12:29Are all Apostles? are all Prophetes? are all teachers?
12:30Are all doers of miracles? haue all the gifts of healing? doe all speake with tongues? doe all interprete?
12:31But desire you the best giftes, and I will yet shewe you a more excellent way.

12:1In spirituall thinges brethren I wolde not have you ignoraunt.
12:2Ye knowe that ye were gentyls and went youre wayes vnto domme ydoles even as ye were ledde.
12:3Wherfore I declare vnto you that no man speakynge in the sprete of god defieth Iesus. Also no man can saye that Iesus is the lorde: but by the holy goost.
12:4Ther are diversities of gyftes verely yet but one sprete.
12:5And ther are differences of administracions and yet but one lorde.
12:6And ther are divers maners of operacions and yet but one God which worketh all thinges that are wrought in all creatures.
12:7The gyftes of ye sprete are geven to every man to proffit ye congregacion.
12:8To one is geven thorow the spirite the vtteraunce of wisdome? To another is geven the vtteraunce of knowledge by ye same sprete.
12:9To another is geuen fayth by ye same sprete. To another ye gyftes of healynge by the same sprete.
12:10To another power to do myracles. To another prophesie? To another iudgement of spretes. To another divers tonges. To another the interpretacion of toges.
12:11And these all worketh eve ye silfe same sprete devydynge to every man severall gyftes even as he will.
12:12For as the body is one and hath many mebres and all the membres of one body though they be many yet are but one body: even so is Christ.
12:13For in one sprete are we all baptysed to make one body whether we be Iewes or getyls whether we be bonde or fre: and have all dronke of one sprete.
12:14For the body is not one member but many.
12:15Yf the fote saye: I am not the honde therfore I am not of the body: is he therfore not of ye body:
12:16And if ye eare saye I am not the eye: therfore I am not of the body: is he therfore not of the body?
12:17If all the body were an eye where were then the eare? If all were hearynge: where were the smellynge?
12:18But now hath god disposed the membres every one of them in the body at his awne pleasure.
12:19If they were all one member: where were the body?
12:20Now are ther many membres yet but one body.
12:21And the eye can not saye vnto the honde I have no nede of the: nor ye heed also to the fete. I have no nede of you.
12:22Ye rather a greate deale those mebres of the body which seme to be most feble are most necessary.
12:23And apo those mebres of yt body which we thinke lest honest put we most honestie on. And oure vngodly parties have most beauty on.
12:24For oure honest members nede it not. But God hath so disposed the body ad hath geven most honoure to that parte which laked
12:25lest there shuld be eny stryfe in the body: but that the members shuld indifferetly care one for another.
12:26And yf one member suffer all suffer with him: yf one member be had in honoure all members be glad also.
12:27 Ye are the body of Christ and members one of another.
12:28And God hath also ordeyned in the congregacion fyrst the Apostels secodarely prophetes thyrdly teachers then the that do miracles: after that the gyftes of healynge helpers governers diversite of tonges.
12:29Are all Apostles? Are all Prophetes? Are all teachers? Are all doars of miracles?
12:30Have all the gyftes of healinge? Do all speake wt tonges? Do all interprete?
12:31Covet after ye best giftes. Amd yet shewe I vnto you a moare excellent waye.
