1 Corinthians - Chapter: 12

>
12:1In spiritual thinges brethren I would not haue you ignoraunt.
12:2Ye knowe that ye were Gentyles, and wente your wayes vnto domme Idols, euen as you were led.
12:3Wherfore I declare vnto you, that no man speakinge in the spirite of God, defieth Iesus. Also no man saye that Iesus is the Lorde: but by the holye ghoste.
12:4There are diuersities of gyftes verelye, yet but one spirite.
12:5And there are differences of administracions, & yet but one Lorde.
12:6And there are diuerse maners of operations, and yet but one God, which worketh all thinges that are wrought, in all creatures.
12:7The giftes of the spirite are geuen to euerie man to profite the congregation.
12:8To one is geuen thorowe the spirite the vtteraunce of wysdome. To another is geuen the vtteraunce of knowledge by the same spirite.
12:9To another is geuen fayth by the same spirite. To another the giftes of healinge, by the same spirite.
12:10To another power to do miracles. To another prophecie. To another iudgement of spirites. To an other diuerse tounges. To another the interpretation of tounges.
12:11And these all worketh euen the selfe same spyryte, deuydynge to euerye man seuerall gyftes, euen as he wyll.
12:12For as the bodye is one, and hath manye membres, and all the membres of one bodye though they be many, yet are they but one bodye: euen so is Christ.
12:13For in one spyryte are we al baptysed to make one body, whether we be Iewes or Gentiles, whether we be bounde or fre: and haue al drounke of one spirite.
12:14For the body is not one member, but manye.
12:15Yf the fote saye: I am not the hand, therfore I am not of the bodye: is he therfore not of the bodye?
12:16And yf the eare saye, I am not the eye: therfore I am not of the bodye: is he therfore not of the bodie?
12:17If al the bodye were an eye, where were then the eare? If all were hearinge? wher were the smellynge?
12:18But nowe hath God disposed the membres euerye one of them in the bodye, at hys owne pleasure,
12:19If they were al one member: where were the bodye?
12:20Nowe are there manye membres, yet but one bodye.
12:21And the eye can not saye vnto the hand: I haue no nede of the: nor the heade also to the fete. I haue no nede of you.
12:22Yea rather a greate deale those members of the bodye, whyche seme to be moste feble, are moste necessarye.
12:23And vpon those membres of the bodie, which we thinke leste honest, put we moste honestye on. And oure vngodlye parties haue most beauty on.
12:24For our honeste members nede it not. But God hath so disposed the bodye, and hath geuen moste honoure to that parte whyche lacked,
12:25lest there should be anye stryfe in the bodye: but that the membres shoulde indifferentlye care one for another.
12:26And yf one member be had in honoure, all the membres be glad also.
12:27Ye are the bodye of Christe, and membres one of another.
12:28And God hath also ordeined in the congregation, fyrst the Apostles, secondarely prophetes, thyrdely teachers then them that do miracles: after that the giftes of healinge, helpers, gouernes, diuersitie of tounges.
12:29Are all Apostles? Are all Prophetes? Are all teachers? Are all doers of miracles:
12:30Haue al the gyftes of healinge? Do all speake with tounges? Do al interprete?
12:31Couet after the beste gyftes. And yet shewe I vnto you a more excellente waye.

12:1Now concerning spirituall giftes, brethren, I would not haue you ignorant.
12:2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, and were caried away vnto the dumme Idoles, as ye were led.
12:3Wherefore, I declare vnto you, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Iesus execrable: also no man can say that Iesus is the Lord, but by the holy Ghost.
12:4Now there are diuersities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
12:5And there are diuersities of administrations, but the same Lord,
12:6And there are diuersities of operations, but God is the same which worketh all in all.
12:7But the manifestation of the Spirit is giuen to euery man, to profite withall.
12:8For to one is giuen by the Spirit the word of wisdome: and to an other the word of knowledge, by the same Spirit:
12:9And to another is giuen faith by the same Spirit: and to another the giftes of healing, by the same Spirit:
12:10And to another the operations of great workes: and to another, prophecie: and to another, the discerning of spirits: and to another, diuersities of tongues: and to another, the interpretation of tongues.
12:11And all these thinges worketh one and the selfe same Spirit, distributing to euery man seuerally as he will.
12:12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, which is one, though they be many, yet are but one body: euen so is Christ.
12:13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we bee Iewes, or Grecians, whether we be bonde, or free, and haue bene all made to drinke into one Spirit.
12:14For the body also is not one member, but many.
12:15If the foote would say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?
12:16And if the eare would say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?
12:17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smellling?
12:18But nowe hath God disposed the members euery one of them in the bodie at his owne pleasure.
12:19For if they were all one member, where were the body?
12:20But now are there many members, yet but one body.
12:21And the eye cannot say vnto the hand, I haue no neede of thee: nor the head againe to the feete, I haue no neede of you.
12:22Yea, much rather those members of the body, which seeme to be more feeble, are necessarie.
12:23And vpon those members of the body, which wee thinke most vnhonest, put wee more honestie on: and our vncomely parts haue more comelinesse on.
12:24For our comely partes neede it not: but God hath tempered the body together, and hath giuen the more honour to that part which lacked,
12:25Lest there should be any diuision in the body: but that the members shoulde haue the same care one for another.
12:26Therefore if one member suffer, all suffer with it: if one member be had in honour, all the members reioyce with it.
12:27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members for your part.
12:28And God hath ordained some in the Church: as first Apostles, secondly Prophetes, thirdly teachers, then them that doe miracles: after that, the giftes of healing, helpers, gouernours, diuersitie of tongues.
12:29Are all Apostles? are all Prophetes? are all teachers?
12:30Are all doers of miracles? haue all the gifts of healing? doe all speake with tongues? doe all interprete?
12:31But desire you the best giftes, and I will yet shewe you a more excellent way.

12:1Now concerning spirituall giftes, brethren, I would not haue you ignorant.
12:2Yee know that yee were Gentiles, caryed away vnto these dumbe idoles, euen as ye were led.
12:3Wherefore I giue you to vnderstand, that no man speaking by the spirit of God, calleth Iesus accursed: and that no man can say that Iesus is the Lord, but by the holy Ghost.
12:4Nowe there are diuersities of gifts, but the same spirit.
12:5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
12:6And there are diuersities of operations, but it is the same God, which worketh all in all.
12:7But the manifestation of the spirit, is giuen to euery man to profit withall.
12:8For to one is giuen by the spirit, the word of wisedome, to another the word of knowledge, by the same spirit.
12:9To another faith, by the same spirit: to another the gifts of healing, by the same spirit:
12:10To another the working of miracles, to another prophecie, to another discerning of spirits, to another diuers kindes of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
12:11But all these worketh that one and the selfe same spirit, diuiding to euery man seuerally as he will.
12:12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the membrs of that one body, being many, are one bodie: so also is Christ.
12:13For by one spirit are we all baptized into one bodie, whether wee bee Iewes or Gentiles, whether wee bee bond or free: and haue beene all made to drinke into one spirit.
12:14For the body is not one member, but many.
12:15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body: is it therefore not of the body?
12:16And if the eare shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body: is it therefore not of the body?
12:17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
12:18But now hath God set the members, euery one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
12:19And if they were all one member, where were the body?
12:20But now are they many members, yet but one body.
12:21And the eye cannot say vnto the hand, I haue no need of thee: nor againe, the head to the feete, I haue no neede of you.
12:22Nay, much more those members of the bodie, which seeme to bee more feeble, are necessary.
12:23And those members of the bodie, which wee thinke to bee lesse honourable, vpon these we bestow more abundant honour, and our vncomely parts haue more abundant comelinesse.
12:24For our comely parts haue no need: but God hath tempered the bodie together, hauing giuen more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
12:25That there should be no schisme in the body: but that the members should haue the same care one for another.
12:26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it: or one member be honoured, all the members reioyce with it.
12:27Now yee are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
12:28And God hath set some in the Church, first Apostles, secondarily Prophets, thirdly Teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helpes in gouernmets, diuersities of tongues.
12:29Are all Apostles? are all Prophets? are all Teachers? are all workers of miracles?
12:30Haue all the gifts of healing? doe all speake with tongues? doe all interpret?
12:31But couet earnestly the best gifts: And yet shew I vnto you a more excellent way.
