1 Corinthians - Chapter: 13

>
13:1If Y speke with tungis of men and of aungels, and Y haue not charite, Y am maad as bras sownynge, or a cymbal tynkynge.
13:2And if Y haue prophecie, and knowe alle mysteries, and al kunnynge, and if Y haue al feith, so that Y meue hillis fro her place, and Y haue not charite, Y am nouyt.
13:3And if Y departe alle my goodis in to the metis of pore men, and yf Y bitake my bodi, so that Y brenne, and if Y haue not charite, it profitith to me no thing.
13:4Charite is pacient, it is benygne; charite enuyeth not, it doith not wickidli, it is not blowun,
13:5it is not coueytouse, it sekith not tho thingis that ben hise owne, it is not stirid to wraththe, it thenkith not yuel,
13:6it ioyeth not on wickidnesse, but it ioieth togidere to treuthe;
13:7it suffrith alle thingis, it bileueth alle thingis, it hopith alle thingis, it susteyneth alle thingis.
13:8Charite fallith neuere doun, whether prophecies schulen be voidid, ethir langagis schulen ceesse, ethir science schal be distried.
13:9For a parti we knowun, and a parti we prophecien;
13:10but whanne that schal come that is parfit, that thing that is of parti schal be auoidid.
13:11Whanne Y was a litil child, Y spak as a litil child, Y vndurstood as a litil child, Y thouyte as a litil child; but whanne Y was maad a man, Y auoidide tho thingis that weren of a litil child.
13:12And we seen now bi a myrour in derknesse, but thanne face to face; now Y knowe of parti, but thanne Y schal knowe, as Y am knowun.
13:13And now dwellen feith, hope, and charite, these thre; but the most of these is charite.

13:1Though I spake with the tonges of me and angels and yet had no love I were eve as soundinge brasse: or as a tynklynge Cymball.
13:2And though I coulde prophesy and vnderstode all secretes and all knowledge: yee yf I had all fayth so that I coulde move moutayns oute of ther places and yet had no love I were nothynge.
13:3And though I bestowed all my gooddes to fede ye poore and though I gave my body even that I burned and yet had no love it profeteth me nothinge.
13:4Love suffreth longe and is corteous. Love envieth not. Love doth not frowardly swelleth not dealeth
13:5not dishonestly seketh not her awne is not provoked to anger thynketh not evyll
13:6reioyseth not in iniquite: but reioyseth in ye trueth
13:7suffreth all thynge beleveth all thynges hopeth all thynges endureth in all thynges.
13:8Though that prophesyinge fayle other tonges shall cease ) or knowledge vanysshe awaye yet love falleth never awaye
13:9For oure knowledge is vnparfect and oure prophesyinge is vnperfet.
13:10But when yt which is parfect is come then yt which is vnparfet shall be done awaye.
13:11When I was a chylde I spake as a chylde I vnderstode as a childe I ymagened as a chylde. But assone as I was a man I put awaye childesshnes.
13:12Now we se in a glasse even in a darke speakynge: but then shall we se face to face. Now I knowe vnparfectly: but then shall I knowe even as I am knowen.
13:13Now abideth fayth hope and love even these thre: but the chefe of these is love.

13:1Though I spake with the tunges of men and angels, and yet had not loue, I were euen as sowndinge brasse, or as a tynklinge Cymball.
13:2And though I coulde prophecy, & vnderstode all secretes, and all knowlege, and had all faith, so that I coulde moue moutaynes out of their places, and yet had not loue, I were nothinge.
13:3And though I bestowed all my goodes to fede ye poore, and though I gaue my body euen that I burned, and yet haue not loue, it profiteth me nothinge.
13:4Loue is pacient & curteous, loue envyeth not, loue doth not frowardly, is not puft vp, dealeth not dishonestly,
13:5seketh not hir awne, is not prouoked vnto anger, thynketh not euell,
13:6reioyseth not ouer iniquyte, but reioyseth in the trueth,
13:7beareth all thinges, beleueth all thinges, hopeth all thinges, suffreth all thinges.
13:8Though prophecienges fayle, or tunges ceasse, or knowlege perishe, yet loue falleth neuer awaye.
13:9For oure knowlege is vnparfecte, and oure prophecienge is vnparfecte.
13:10But wha that which is perfecte, commeth, then shal the vnparfecte be done awaye.
13:11Whan I was a childe, I spake as a childe, I vnderstode as a childe, I ymagined as a childe. But as soone as I was a man, I put awaye childishnes.
13:12Now we se thorow a glasse in a darke speakynge, but the shal we se face to face. Now I knowe vnperfectly: but the shal I knowe eue as I am knowne.
13:13Now abydeth faith, hope, loue, these thre: but the greatest of these is loue.
