1 Corinthians - Chapter: 16

>
16:1Now concerning the collection for the Saints, as I haue giuen order to the Churches of Galatia, euen so doe ye.
16:2Upon the first day of the weeke, let euery one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
16:3And when I come, whomsoeuer you shall approue by your letters, them wil I send to bring your liberality vnto Ierusalem.
16:4And if it be meet that I goe also, they shall goe with me.
16:5Now I wil come vnto you, when I shall passe through Macedonia: for I doe passe through Macedonia.
16:6And it may bee that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that yee may bring me on my iourny, whithersoeuer I goe.
16:7For I will not see you now by the way, but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.
16:8But I will tarry at Ephesus vntill Pentecost.
16:9For a great doore and effectuall is opened vnto mee, and there are many aduersaries.
16:10Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without feare: for hee worketh the worke of the Lord, as I also doe.
16:11Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that hee may come vnto me: for I looke for him with the brethren.
16:12As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come vnto you with ye brethren, but his wil was not at all to come at this time: but he wil come when hee shall haue conuenient time.
16:13Watch yee, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men: be strong.
16:14Let all your things be done with charitie.
16:15I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that they haue addicted themselues to the ministery of the Saints,)
16:16That ye submit your selues vnto such, and to euery one that helpeth with vs and laboureth.
16:17I am glad of the comming of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part, they haue supplied.
16:18For they haue refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge yee them that are such.
16:19The Churches of Asia salute you: Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the Church that is in their house.
16:20All the brethren greet you: greet ye one another with an holy kisse.
16:21The salutation of me Paul, with mine owne hand.
16:22If any man loue not the Lord Iesus Christ, let him bee Anathema Maranatha.
16:23The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ be with you.
16:24My loue be with you all in Christ Iesus, Amen.The first Epistle to the Corinthians was written from Philippi by Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus, and Timotheus.

 

16:1Concernynge the gadderynge that is made for the sayntes, as I haue ordeyned in the congregacions of Galacia, euen so do ye also.
16:2Vpon some Sabbath daye let euery one of you put aside by him selfe, and laye vp what so euer he thinketh mete, that the colleccion be not to gather whan I come.
16:3Whan I am come, whom so euer ye shal alowe by youre letters, the wyll I sende to brynge youre liberalite vnto Ierusalem.
16:4Neuertheles yf it be mete that I go thither also, they shal go with me.
16:5But I wil come vnto you, whan I go thorow Macedonia: for thorow Macedonia wyl I take my iourney.
16:6With you peradueture wil I abyde, or els wynter, that ye maye brynge me on my waye, whither so euer I go.
16:7I wyl not se you now in my passage, for I hope to abyde a whyle with you, yf the LORDE shal suffre me.
16:8But I wil tary at Ephesus vntyll whitsontyde.
16:9For a greate and frutefull dore is opened vnto me, and there are many aduersaries.
16:10Yf Timotheus come, se that he be without feare with you, for he worketh ye worke of the, LORDE as I do.
16:11Let no man therfore despyse him, but conuaye him forth in peace, that he maye come vnto me, for I loke for him with the brethren.
16:12As for brother Apollo, be ye sure, that I greatly desyred him to come vnto you with the brethre. And his mynde was not at all to come at this tyme,but he wyl come wha he hath oportunyte.
16:13Watch ye, stonde fast in the faith, quyte you like men, and be stronge:
16:14let all youre thinges be done in loue.
16:15But brethren (ye knowe the house off Stephana, that they are the first frutes in Achaia, and that they haue appoynted the selues to mynister vnto the sayntes)
16:16I exhorte you to be obedient vnto soche, and to all that helpe and laboure.
16:17I am glad of the comynge of Stephana and Fortunatus, and Achaicus. For loke what was lackynge vnto me on youre parte, yt haue they suppleed:
16:18they haue refresshed my sprete and youres. Knowe them therfore that are soch.
16:19The congregacions of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you moch in the LORDE, and so doth the cogregacion that is in their house.
16:20All the brethren salute you. Salute ye one another with an holy kysse.
16:21The salutacion of me Paul wt myne awne hande.
16:22Yf eny ma loue not the LORDE Iesus Christ, the same be Anathema Maharan Matha.
16:23The grace of the LORDE Iesus Christ be with you.
16:24My loue be with you all in Christ Iesu. Amen.

 

16:1But of the gaderyngis of money that ben maad in to seyntis, as Y ordeynede in the chirchis of Galathie, so also do ye o dai of the wouke.
16:2Ech of you kepe at hym silf, kepynge that that plesith to him, that whanne Y come, the gaderyngis ben not maad.
16:3And whanne Y schal be present, whiche men ye preuen, Y schal sende hem bi epistlis to bere youre grace in to Jerusalem.
16:4That if it be worthi that also Y go, thei schulen go with me.
16:5But Y schal come to you, whanne Y schal passe bi Macedonye; for whi Y schal passe bi Macedonye.
16:6But perauenture Y schal dwelle at you, or also dwelle the wynter, that and ye lede me whidir euere Y schal go.
16:7And Y wole not now se you in my passyng, for Y hope to dwelle with you awhile, if the Lord schal suffre.
16:8But Y schal dwelle at Efesi, `til to Witsuntide.
16:9For a grete dore and an opyn is openyd to me, and many aduersaries.
16:10And if Thimothe come, se ye that he be with out drede with you, for he worcheth the werk of the Lord, as Y.
16:11Therfor no man dispise hym; but lede ye hym forth in pees, that he come to me; for Y abide hym with britheren.
16:12But, britheren, Y make knowun to you of Apollo, that Y preiede him myche, that he schulde come to you, with britheren. But it was not his wille to come now; but he schal come, whanne he schal haue leiser.
16:13Walke ye, and stonde ye in the feith; do ye manli, and be ye coumfortid in the Lord,
16:14and be alle youre thingis don in charite.
16:15And, britheren, Y biseche you, ye knowen the hous of Stephan, and of Fortunati, and Acaicy, for thei ben the firste fruytis of Acaie, and in to mynystrie of seyntis thei han ordeyned hem silf;
16:16that also ye be sugetis to suche, and to ech worchynge togidere and trauelynge.
16:17For Y haue ioie in the presence of Stephan, and of Fortunate, and Acaici;
16:18for thei filliden that thing that failide to you; for thei han refreischid bothe my spirit and youre. Therfor knowe ye hem, that ben suche maner men.
16:19Alle the chirchis of Asie greten you wel. Aquila and Prisca, with her homeli chirche, greten you myche in the Lord, at the whiche also Y am herborid.
16:20Alle bretheren greten you wel. Grete ye wel togidere in hooli cos.
16:21My gretyng bi Poulis hoond.
16:22If ony man loueth not oure Lord Jhesu Crist, be he cursid, Maranatha.
16:23The grace of oure Lord Jhesu Crist be with you.
16:24My charite be with you alle in Crist Jhesu oure Lord. Amen.
