1 Corinthians - Chapter: 16


16:1	But of the gaderyngis of money that ben maad in to seyntis, as Y ordeynede in the chirchis of Galathie, so also do ye o dai of the wouke.
16:2	Ech of you kepe at hym silf, kepynge that that plesith to him, that whanne Y come, the gaderyngis ben not maad.
16:3	And whanne Y schal be present, whiche men ye preuen, Y schal sende hem bi epistlis to bere youre grace in to Jerusalem.
16:4	That if it be worthi that also Y go, thei schulen go with me.
16:5	But Y schal come to you, whanne Y schal passe bi Macedonye; for whi Y schal passe bi Macedonye.
16:6	But perauenture Y schal dwelle at you, or also dwelle the wynter, that and ye lede me whidir euere Y schal go.
16:7	And Y wole not now se you in my passyng, for Y hope to dwelle with you awhile, if the Lord schal suffre.
16:8	But Y schal dwelle at Efesi, `til to Witsuntide.
16:9	For a grete dore and an opyn is openyd to me, and many aduersaries.
16:10	And if Thimothe come, se ye that he be with out drede with you, for he worcheth the werk of the Lord, as Y.
16:11	Therfor no man dispise hym; but lede ye hym forth in pees, that he come to me; for Y abide hym with britheren.
16:12	But, britheren, Y make knowun to you of Apollo, that Y preiede him myche, that he schulde come to you, with britheren. But it was not his wille to come now; but he schal come, whanne he schal haue leiser.
16:13	Walke ye, and stonde ye in the feith; do ye manli, and be ye coumfortid in the Lord,
16:14	and be alle youre thingis don in charite.
16:15	And, britheren, Y biseche you, ye knowen the hous of Stephan, and of Fortunati, and Acaicy, for thei ben the firste fruytis of Acaie, and in to mynystrie of seyntis thei han ordeyned hem silf;
16:16	that also ye be sugetis to suche, and to ech worchynge togidere and trauelynge.
16:17	For Y haue ioie in the presence of Stephan, and of Fortunate, and Acaici;
16:18	for thei filliden that thing that failide to you; for thei han refreischid bothe my spirit and youre. Therfor knowe ye hem, that ben suche maner men.
16:19	Alle the chirchis of Asie greten you wel. Aquila and Prisca, with her homeli chirche, greten you myche in the Lord, at the whiche also Y am herborid.
16:20	Alle bretheren greten you wel. Grete ye wel togidere in hooli cos.
16:21	My gretyng bi Poulis hoond.
16:22	If ony man loueth not oure Lord Jhesu Crist, be he cursid, Maranatha.
16:23	The grace of oure Lord Jhesu Crist be with you.
16:24	My charite be with you alle in Crist Jhesu oure Lord. Amen.


16:1	Concerning the gathering for the Saintes, as I haue ordeined in the Churches of Galatia, so doe ye also.
16:2	Euery first day of the weeke, let euery one of you put aside by himselfe, and lay vp as God hath prospered him, that then there be no gatherings when I come.
16:3	And when I am come, whomsoeuer ye shall alowe by letters, them will I send to bring your liberalitie vnto Hierusalem.
16:4	And if it be meete that I goe also, they shall goe with me.
16:5	Nowe I will come vnto you, after I haue gone through Macedonia (for I will passe through Macedonia.)
16:6	And it may be that I will abide, yea, or winter with you, that ye may bring me on my way, whither soeuer I goe.
16:7	For I will not see you nowe in my passage, but I trust to abide a while with you, if the Lord permit.
16:8	And I wil tary at Ephesus vntill Pentecost.
16:9	For a great doore and effectuall is opened vnto me: and there are many aduersaries.
16:10	Nowe if Timotheus come, see that he be without feare with you: for he worketh the worke of the Lord, euen as I doe.
16:11	Let no man therefore despise him: but conuey him foorth in peace, that he may come vnto me: for I looke for him with the brethren.
16:12	As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him, to come vnto you with the brethren: but his mind was not at all to come at this time: howbeit he will come when he shall haue conuenient time.
16:13	Watch ye: stand fast in the faith: quite you like men, and be strong.
16:14	Let all your things be done in loue.
16:15	Nowe brethren, I beseeche you (ye knowe the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruites of Achaia, and that they haue giuen themselues to minister vnto the Saintes)
16:16	That ye be obedient euen vnto such, and to all that helpe with vs and labour.
16:17	I am glad of the comming of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus: for they haue supplied the want of you.
16:18	For they haue comforted my spirite and yours: acknowledge therefore such men.
16:19	The Churches of Asia salute you: Aquila and Priscilla with ye Church that is in their house, salute you greatly in the Lord.
16:20	All the brethren greete you. Greete ye one another, with an holy kisse.
16:21	The salutation of me Paul with mine owne hand.
16:22	If any man loue not the Lord Iesus Christ, let him be had in execration maran-atha.
16:23	The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ be with you.
16:24	My loue be with you all in Christ Iesus, Amen.


16:1	Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have directed the churches of Galatia, so you must do also:
16:2	On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as God has prospered him, that there be no collections when I come.
16:3	And when I come, whomever you approve by your letters I will send to bear your gift to Jerusalem.
16:4	But if it is fitting that I go also, they will go with me.
16:5	Now I will come to you when I pass through Macedonia (because I am passing through Macedonia).
16:6	And it may be that I will remain, or even spend the winter with you, that you may send me on my journey, wherever I go.
16:7	Because, I do not wish to see you now along the way; but I hope to stay a while with you, if the Lord permits.
16:8	But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost.
16:9	Because, a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
16:10	Now if Timothy comes, see that he may be with you without fear; because, he does the work of the Lord, as I also do.
16:11	Therefore let no one despise him. But send him on his journey in peace, that he may come to me; because I am expecting him with the brethren.
16:12	Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to come to you with the brethren, but he was quite unwilling to come at this time; however, he will come when he has a convenient time.
16:13	Watch, stand fast in the faith, act like men, be strong.
16:14	Let all that you do be done with love.
16:15	I urge you, brethren, you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints,
16:16	that you also submit to such, and to everyone who works and labors with us.
16:17	I am glad about the coming of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because what was lacking on your part they supplied.
16:18	Because they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such people.
16:19	The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.
16:20	All the brethren greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
16:21	The salutation from me Paul with my own hand.
16:22	If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha!
16:23	The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
16:24	My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
