| 3:1 | We begynne to prayse oure selues agayne. Nede we as some other, of Epistles, of recommendacion vnto you? or letters of recommendacyon from you? |
| 3:2 | Ye are oure Epistle wrytten in oure hertes, which is vnderstande and read of, all men, |
| 3:3 | in that ye are knowen, howe that ye are the Epistle of Christe, ministred by vs and writen, not wyth ynke, but wyth the spirite of the lyuyng God, not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the herte. |
| 3:4 | Suche truste haue we throughe Christe to Godwarde |
| 3:5 | not that we are suffyciente of our selues to thynke any thynge as it were of our selues, but our ablenes cometh of God, |
| 3:6 | which hath made vs able to minister the new testament, not of the letter, but of the spirite. For the letter killeth, but the spirite geueth lyfe. |
| 3:7 | Yf the mynystracyon of death throughe the letters fygured in stones was gloryous, so that the chyldren of Israell coulde not behold the face of Moyses for the glory of hys countenaunce (whiche glory neuerthelesse is done awaye) |
| 3:8 | why shall not the ministracion of the spiryte be muche more gloryous? |
| 3:9 | For yf the ministrynge of condempnacyon be glorious, muche more doeth the ministracyon of ryghtuousnes excede in glorye. |
| 3:10 | For no doubte that which was there glorifyed is not once gloryfyed in respecte of thys excedynge glorye. |
| 3:11 | Then yf that whih is destroyed was gloryous muche more shall that whiche remayneth, be gloryous. |
| 3:12 | Seynge then that we haue suche trust, we vse great boldnes, |
| 3:13 | and do not as Moyses, whiche put a vayle ouer hys face that the children of Israell shoulde not se, for what purpose that serued whiche is put awaye. |
| 3:14 | But theyr myndes were blynded. For vntil thys daye remayneth the same couerynge vntaken awaye in the olde testament when they reade it, whiche in Christe is put awaye. |
| 3:15 | But euen vnto thys daye when Moyses is reade, the vayle hangeth before theyr hertes. |
| 3:16 | Neuerthelesse when they turne to the Lorde, the vayle shalbe taken awaye. |
| 3:17 | The Lorde no doubte is a spiryte. And where the spiryte of the Lorde is, there is libertye. |
| 3:18 | But we all beholde the glorye of the Lorde with hys face open, and chaunged vnto the same similitude, from glorye to glory, euen of the spirite of the Lorde. |
| 3:1 | We begyn to prayse oure selues agayne, Nede we as some other, of Epistles of recommendacyon vnto you or letters of recommendacion from you? |
| 3:2 | Ye are oure epistle wrytten in oure hertes, which is vnderstande and red of all men, |
| 3:3 | for asmoch as ye declare that ye are the epistle of Christ, mynistred by vs and wrytten, not with ynke: but with the sprete of the lyuynge God not in tables of stone, but in flesshy tables of the hert. |
| 3:4 | Suche trust haue we thorow Christ to God ward, |
| 3:5 | not that we are sufficient of oure selues to thynke eny thyng, as of our selues: but yf we be able vnto any thinge the same commeth of God, |
| 3:6 | which hath made vs able to mynister the newe testament, not of the letter, but of the sprete. For the letter kylleth, but the sprete geueth lyfe. |
| 3:7 | If the ministracyon of deeth thorow the letters fygured in stones, was glorious, so that the chyldren of Israel coulde not beholde the face of Moses, for the glory of his countenaunce (whych glory is done awaye) |
| 3:8 | why shall not the ministracyon of the sprete be moch more gloryous? |
| 3:9 | For yf the ministringe of condemnacyon be glorious: moch more doth the ministracyon of ryghtewesnes exceade in glory. |
| 3:10 | For no dout that whych was there glorifyed, is not once glorifyed in respecte of this exceadynge glory. |
| 3:11 | For yf that which is destroyed was glorious, moch more that which remayneth, is glorious. |
| 3:12 | Seyng then that we haue soch trust, we vse great boldnes, |
| 3:13 | & do not as Moses, which put a vayle ouer his face, that the chyldren of Israel shuld not se for what purpose that serued which is put awaye. |
| 3:14 | But their myndes were blinded. For vntyll this daye remayneth the same coueringe vntaken awaye in the lecture of the olde testament, whych vayle shalbe put awaye in Christ. |
| 3:15 | But euen vnto this daye when Moses is redde the vayle hangeth before their hertes. |
| 3:16 | Neuerthelesse when they tourne to the Lord, the vayle shalbe taken awaye. |
| 3:17 | The Lorde no dout is a sprete. And where the sprete of the Lord is, there is libertie. |
| 3:18 | But we all beholde in a myrroure the glorye of the Lorde with his face open, and are chaunged vnto the same similitude, from glory to glory, euen as of the sprete of the Lorde. |
| 3:1 | Doe we begin to praise our selues againe? or neede we as some other, epistles of recommendation vnto you, or letters of recommendation from you? |
| 3:2 | Yee are our epistle, written in our hearts, which is vnderstand, and read of all men, |
| 3:3 | In that yee are manifest, to be the Epistle of Christ, ministred by vs, and written, not with yncke, but with the Spirite of the liuing God, not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart. |
| 3:4 | And such trust haue we through Christ to God: |
| 3:5 | Not that we are sufficient of our selues, to thinke any thing, as of our selues: but our sufficiencie is of God, |
| 3:6 | Who also hath made vs able ministers of the Newe testament, not of the letter, but of the Spirite: for the letter killeth, but the Spirite giueth life. |
| 3:7 | If then the ministration of death written with letters and ingrauen in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel coulde not beholde the face of Moses, for the glorie of his countenance (which glorie is done away.) |
| 3:8 | Howe shall not the ministration of the Spirite be more glorious? |
| 3:9 | For if the ministerie of condemnation was glorious, much more doeth the ministration of righteousnesse exceede in glorie. |
| 3:10 | For euen that which was glorified, was not glorified in this point, that is, as touching the exceeding glorie. |
| 3:11 | For if that which should be abolished, was glorious, much more shall that which remaineth, be glorious. |
| 3:12 | Seeing then that we haue such trust, we vse great boldnesse of speach. |
| 3:13 | And we are not as Moses, which put a vaile vpon his face, that the children of Israel should not looke vnto the ende of that which should be abolished. |
| 3:14 | Therefore their mindes are hardened: for vntill this day remaineth the same couering vntaken away in the reading of the olde Testament, which vaile in Christ is put away. |
| 3:15 | But euen vnto this day, whe Moses is read, the vaile is laid ouer their hearts. |
| 3:16 | Neuertheles when their heart shall be turned to the Lord, the vaile shalbe taken away. |
| 3:17 | Nowe the Lord is the Spirite, and where the Spirite of the Lord is, there is libertie. |
| 3:18 | But we al behold as in a mirrour the glory of the Lord with open face, and are changed into the same image, from glorie to glorie, as by the Spirit of the Lord. |
