2 Corinthians - Chapter: 3

>
3:1We begyn to prayse oure selues agayne, Nede we as some other, of Epistles of recommendacyon vnto you or letters of recommendacion from you?
3:2Ye are oure epistle wrytten in oure hertes, which is vnderstande and red of all men,
3:3for asmoch as ye declare that ye are the epistle of Christ, mynistred by vs and wrytten, not with ynke: but with the sprete of the lyuynge God not in tables of stone, but in flesshy tables of the hert.
3:4Suche trust haue we thorow Christ to God ward,
3:5not that we are sufficient of oure selues to thynke eny thyng, as of our selues: but yf we be able vnto any thinge the same commeth of God,
3:6which hath made vs able to mynister the newe testament, not of the letter, but of the sprete. For the letter kylleth, but the sprete geueth lyfe.
3:7If the ministracyon of deeth thorow the letters fygured in stones, was glorious, so that the chyldren of Israel coulde not beholde the face of Moses, for the glory of his countenaunce (whych glory is done awaye)
3:8why shall not the ministracyon of the sprete be moch more gloryous?
3:9For yf the ministringe of condemnacyon be glorious: moch more doth the ministracyon of ryghtewesnes exceade in glory.
3:10For no dout that whych was there glorifyed, is not once glorifyed in respecte of this exceadynge glory.
3:11For yf that which is destroyed was glorious, moch more that which remayneth, is glorious.
3:12Seyng then that we haue soch trust, we vse great boldnes,
3:13& do not as Moses, which put a vayle ouer his face, that the chyldren of Israel shuld not se for what purpose that serued which is put awaye.
3:14But their myndes were blinded. For vntyll this daye remayneth the same coueringe vntaken awaye in the lecture of the olde testament, whych vayle shalbe put awaye in Christ.
3:15But euen vnto this daye when Moses is redde the vayle hangeth before their hertes.
3:16Neuerthelesse when they tourne to the Lord, the vayle shalbe taken awaye.
3:17The Lorde no dout is a sprete. And where the sprete of the Lord is, there is libertie.
3:18But we all beholde in a myrroure the glorye of the Lorde with his face open, and are chaunged vnto the same similitude, from glory to glory, euen as of the sprete of the Lorde.

3:1Bigynnen we therfor eftsoone to preise vs silf? or whether we neden, as summen, pistlis of preisinge to you, or of you?
3:2Ye ben oure pistle, writun in oure hertis, which is knowun and red of alle men,
3:3and maad opyn, for ye ben the pistle of Crist mynystrid of vs, and writun, not with enke, but bi the spirit of the lyuynge God; not in stony tablis, but in fleischli tablis of herte.
3:4For we han such trist bi Crist to God;
3:5not that we ben sufficient to thenke ony thing of vs, as of vs, but oure sufficience is of God.
3:6Which also made vs able mynystris of the newe testament, not bi lettre, but bi spirit; for the lettre sleeth, but the spirit quykeneth.
3:7And if the mynystracioun of deth write bi lettris in stoonys was in glorie, so that the children of Israel myyten not biholde in to the face of Moises, for the glorie of his cheer, which is auoidid,
3:8hou schal not the mynystracioun of the spirit be more in glorie?
3:9For if the mynystracioun of dampnacioun was in glorie, myche more the mynysterie of riytwisnesse is plenteuouse in glorie.
3:10For nether that that was cleer was glorified in this part for the excellent glorie; and if that that is auoidid,
3:11was bi glorie, myche more that that dwellith stille is in glorie.
3:12Therfor we that han suche hope, vsen myche trist;
3:13and not as Moises leide a veil on his face, that the children of Israel schulden not biholde in to his face, which veil is auoidid.
3:14But the wittis of hem ben astonyed; for in to this dai the same veil in reding of the olde testament dwellith not schewid, for it is auoidid in Crist, but in to this dai,
3:15whanne Moises is red, the veil is put on her hertis.
3:16But whanne Israel schal be conuertid to God, the veil schal be don awei.
3:17And the spirit is the Lord; and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is fredom.
3:18And alle we that with open face seen the glorie of the Lord, ben transformed in to the same ymage, fro clerenesse in to clerenesse, as of the spirit of the Lord.

3:1Begynne we then agayne to prayse or selues? Or nede we (as some other) of pistles of commedacion vnto you or letters of commedacion from you?
3:2Ye are oure epistle wrytten in oure hertes: which is vnderstonde and red of all me,
3:3in that ye are knowne, how that ye are ye epistle of Christ, mynistred by vs, and wrytte, not with ynke, but with the sprete of the lyuynge God: not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the hert.
3:4Soch trust haue we thorow Christ to God warde,
3:5not that we are sufficient of oure selues to thynke eny thinge, as of oure selues, but oure ablenesse commeth of God,
3:6which hath made vs able, to be mynisters of the new Testament: not of the letter, but of the sprete. For the letter kylleth, but the sprete geueth life.
3:7But yf the mynistracion yt kylleth thorow the letter, and was figured in stones, was glorious, so that the childre of Israel mighte not beholde the face of Moses, for ye clearnesse of his countenauce, (which glory neuertheles is done awaye)
3:8how shal not ye mynistracion of ye sprete be moch more glorious?
3:9For yf the office that preacheth damnacion be glorious, moch more doth the office that preacheth righteousnes exceade in glory.
3:10For ye other parte that was glorified is nothinge glorified in respecte of this exceadinge glory.
3:11For yf that which is done awaye, be glorious, moch more shal yt which remayneth, be glorious.
3:12Seynge then that we haue soch trust, we vse greate boldnesse,
3:13and do not as Moses, which put a vayle before his face, so that ye children of Israel mighte not se the ende of it, that is done awaye.
3:14But their myndes are blynded. For vnto this daye remayneth the same coueringe vntake awaye in the olde Testament, whan they rede it, which in Christ is put awaye.
3:15But euen vnto this daye whan moses is red, the vayle hangeth before their hertes:
3:16Neuertheles wha they turne to the LORDE, the vayle shalbe taken awaye.
3:17For the LORDE is a sprete: & where the sprete of the LORDE is, there is libertye.
3:18But now the glory of ye LORDE apeareth in vs all with open face, and we are chaunged into the same ymage, from one clearnes to another, eue as of the sprete of the LORDE.
