2 Corinthians - Chapter: 4

>
4:1Therfore seynge that we haue suche an offyce, euen as mercye is come on vs, we faynte not:
4:2but haue caste from vs the clokes of vnhonestye, and walke not in craftynes, neyther corrupte we the word of God: but walke in open trueth, & reporte our selues to euerye mans conscience in the syght of God.
4:3Yf oure Gospell be yet hyd, it is hyd among them that are loste,
4:4in whome the God of thys worlde hath blynded the myndes of them which beleue not, leste the lyght of the gloryous gospell of Christe which is the ymage of God shoulde shyne vnto them.
4:5For we preache not oure selues, but Christ Iesus to be the Lorde, and oure selues youre seuauntes for Iesus sake.
4:6For it is God that commaunded the lighte to shyne out of darknes, whiche hath shyned in oure hertes, for to geue the lyghte of the knoweledge of the glorye of God, in the face of Iesus Christe.
4:7But we haue thys treasure in earthen vessels that the excellent power of it myght appeare to be of God, and not of vs.
4:8We are troubled on euerye syde, yet are we not withoute shyfte. We are in pouerte, but not vtterlye withoute some what.
4:9We are persecuted, but are not forsaken. We are caste doune, neuerthelesse we peryshe not.
4:10And we alwayes beare in oure bodyes the dyinge of the Lorde Iesus, that the lyfe of Iesus myght appeare in oure bodyes.
4:11For we whiche lyue are alwayes delyuered vnto deathe for Iesus sake, that the lyfe also of Iesu myghte appeare in oure mortall fleshe.
4:12So then death worketh in vs, and lyfe in you.
4:13Seynge then we haue the same spirite of fayth, accordynge as it is writen: I beleued, & therfor haue I spoken. We also beleue, & therfore speake.
4:14For we knowe that he which raysed vp the Lord Iesus, shal rayse vp vs also by the meanes of Iesus, & shall set vs wt you.
4:15For all thynges do I for youre sakes, that the plentuous grace by thankes geuen of manye, maye redounde to the prayse of God.
4:16Wherfor we are not weryed, but though oure outwarde man perysh: yet the inwarde man is renewed daye by daye.
4:17For oure excedynge trybulation whiche is momentanye and lyghte, prepareth an excedynge and eternall wayghte of glory vnto vs,
4:18whyle we loke not on the thinges whiche are sene, but on the thinges which are not sene. For thynges whiche are sene, are temporall, but thynges whiche are not sene, are eternall.

4:1Therefore, seeing that we haue this ministerie, as we haue receiued mercy, we faint not:
4:2But haue cast from vs ye clokes of shame, and walke not in craftines, neither handle we the worde of God deceitfully: but in declaration of the trueth we approue our selues to euery mans conscience in the sight of God.
4:3If our Gospell bee then hid, it is hid to them that are lost.
4:4In whom the God of this world hath blinded the mindes, that is, of the infidels, that the light of the glorious Gospell of Christ, which is the image of God, should not shine vnto them.
4:5For we preach not our selues, but Christ Iesus the Lord, and our selues your seruaunts for Iesus sake.
4:6For God that commanded the light to shine out of darknesse, is he which hath shined in our hearts, to giue the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Iesus Christ.
4:7But we haue this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellencie of that power might be of God, and not of vs.
4:8Wee are afflicted on euery side, yet are we not in distresse: we are in doubt, but yet wee despaire not.
4:9We are persecuted, but not forsaken: cast downe, but we perish not.
4:10Euery where we beare about in our bodie the dying of the Lord Iesus, that the life of Iesus might also be made manifest in our bodies.
4:11For we which liue, are alwaies deliuered vnto death for Iesus sake, that the life also of Iesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
4:12So then death worketh in vs, and life in you.
4:13And because we haue the same spirite of faith, according as it is written, I beleeued, and therefore haue I spoken, we also beleeue, and therefore speake,
4:14Knowing that he which hath raised vp the Lord Iesus, shall raise vs vp also by Iesus, and shall set vs with you.
4:15For all thinges are for your sakes, that that most plenteous grace by the thankesgiuing of many, may redound to the praise of God.
4:16Therefore we faint not, but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed daily.
4:17For our light affliction which is but for a moment, causeth vnto vs a farre most excellent and an eternall waight of glorie:
4:18While we looke not on the thinges which are seene, but on the things which are not seene: for the things which are seene, are temporall: but the things which are not seene, are eternall.

4:1Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
4:2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
4:3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4:4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
4:5For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
4:6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
4:7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
4:8We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
4:9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
4:10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
4:11For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
4:12So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
4:13We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
4:14Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
4:15For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
4:16For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
4:17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
4:18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
