Ephesians - Chapter: 2

>
2:1And you He has made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
2:2in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience,
2:3among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
2:4But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
2:5even when we were dead in sins, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are saved),
2:6and has raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
2:7that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
2:8Because, it is by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
2:9not of works, lest anyone should boast.
2:10Because, we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
2:11Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands,
2:12that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
2:13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
2:14Because, He is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation between us,
2:15having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to make in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
2:16and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body by the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.
2:17And came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near.
2:18Because, through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
2:19Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
2:20and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,
2:21in whom the entire building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,
2:22in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God through the Spirit.

2:1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:
2:2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
2:3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
2:4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
2:5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
2:6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
2:7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
2:8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
2:9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
2:10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
2:11Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
2:12That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
2:13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
2:14For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
2:15Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
2:16And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
2:17And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
2:18For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
2:19Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
2:20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
2:21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
2:22In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

2:1And you hath hee quickned who were dead in trespasses, and sinnes,
2:2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the aire, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience,
2:3Among whom also we all had our conuersation in times past, in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh, and of the minde, and were by nature the children of wrath, euen as others:
2:4But God who is rich in mercie, for his great loue wherewith hee loued vs,
2:5Euen when wee were dead in sinnes, hath quickned vs together with Christ, (by grace ye are saued)
2:6And hath raised vs vp together, and made vs sit together in heauenly places in Christ Iesus:
2:7That in the ages to come, hee might shew the exceeding riches of his grace, in his kindenesse towards vs, through Christ Iesus.
2:8For by grace are ye saued, through faith, and that not of your selues: it is the gift of God:
2:9Not of workes, lest any man should boast.
2:10For wee are his workemanship, created in Christ Iesus vnto good workes, which God hath before ordeined, that we should walke in them.
2:11Wherefore remember that ye being in time passed Gentiles in the flesh, who are called vncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands,
2:12That at that time yee were without Christ, being aliens from the common wealth of Israel, and strangers from the couenants of promise, hauing no hope, & without God in the world.
2:13But now in Christ Iesus, ye who sometimes were far off, are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
2:14For hee is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken downe the middle wall of partition betweene vs:
2:15Hauing abolished in his flesh the enmitie, euen the Lawe of Commandements conteined in Ordinances, for to make in himselfe, of twaine, one newe man, so making peace.
2:16And that he might reconcile both vnto God in one body by the crosse, hauing slaine the enmitie thereby,
2:17And came, and preached peace to you, which were afarre off, and to them that were nigh.
2:18For through him wee both haue an accesse by one Spirit vnto the Father.
2:19Now therefore yee are no more strangers and forreiners; but fellow citizens with the Saints, and of the houshold of God,
2:20And are built vpon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Iesus Christ himselfe being the chiefe corner stone,
2:21In whom all the building fitly framed together, groweth vnto an holy Temple in the Lord:
2:22In whom you also are builded together for an habitation of God thorow the Spirit.
