Ephesians - Chapter: 6

>
6:1Chyldren obeye youre fathers and mothers in the Lorde: for so is it ryght.
6:2Honoure thy father and mother, that is the fyrst commaundemente that hath anye promes,
6:3that thou mayeste be in good estate, and liue longe on the earth.
6:4And ye fathers, moue not youre children to wrath, but bringe them vp with the norter and information of the Lorde.
6:5Seruauntes be obedient vnto youre carnall maisters, wyth feare and tremblinge, in singlenes of youre hertes, as vnto Christe,
6:6not wyth seruice in the eye sight, as men pleasers, but as the seruauntes of Christe, doynge the wyll of God frome the herte
6:7wyth good wyll seruynge the Lorde, & not men.
6:8And remembre that, whatsoeuer good thinge any man doeth, that shall he receiue agayne of the Lorde, whether he be bounde or fre.
6:9And ye maisters, do euen the same thinges vnto them puttinge awaye threateninges: and remembre that euen your maister also is in heauen, neither is ther anye respect of person wyth hym.
6:10Finally my brethren, be stronge in the Lord and in the power of his myghte.
6:11Put on the armoure of God, that ye maye stande stedfaste agaynste the crafty assautes of the deuyll.
6:12For we wrestle not againste fleshe and bloude: but against rule, agaynst power, and againste worldlye rulers of the darckenes of thys worlde, againste spyrytuall wickednes, for heauenly thynges.
6:13For thys cause take vnto you the armoure of God, that ye maye be able to resiste in the euyl daye, and stande perfect in al thinges.
6:14Stande therfore, and your loynes gyrde about wyth veritie, hauinge on the breste plate of rightuousnes,
6:15and shoed with shoes prepared by the Gospel of peace.
6:16Aboue all take to you the shelde of fayth, wherwith ye maye quench all the fyrie dartes of the wycked.
6:17And take the helmet of saluacion and the swerd of the spyrite, which is the word of God.
6:18And praye all wayes wyth all maner prayer and supplicacion: and that in the spirite, and watch therunto with all instaunce and supplication for all sainctes,
6:19and for me, that vtteraunce maye be geuen vnto me, that I maye open my mouth bloudly, to vtter the secretes of the Gospel,
6:20wherof I am a messenger in boundes that therin I may speake frely, as it becommeth me to speake.
6:21But that ye maye also knowe what condicion I am in and what I do. Tichicus my deare brother and faythfull mynyster in the Lorde, shal shewe you of all thinges,
6:22whom I sent vnto you for the same purpose, that ye myght knowe what case I stand in, and that he myght comforte your hertes.
6:23Peace be with the brethren, and loue with fayth from God the father, and from the Lorde Iesus Christe.
6:24Grace be with al them whiche loue oure Lorde Iesus Christe in purenes. Amen.

6:1Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
6:2Honour thy father and mother (which is the first commandement with promise)
6:3That it may be well with thee, and that thou mayst liue long on earth.
6:4And ye, fathers, prouoke not your children to wrath: but bring them vp in instruction and information of the Lord.
6:5Seruants, be obedient vnto them that are your masters, according to the flesh, with feare and trembling in singlenesse of your hearts as vnto Christ,
6:6Not with seruice to the eye, as men pleasers, but as the seruants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
6:7With good will, seruing the Lord, and not men.
6:8And knowe ye that whatsoeuer good thing any man doeth, that same shall he receiue of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
6:9And ye masters, doe the same things vnto them, putting away threatning: and know that euen your master also is in heauen, neither is there respect of person with him.
6:10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
6:11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the assaultes of the deuil.
6:12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly gouernours, the princes of the darkenesse of this worlde, against spirituall wickednesses, which are in ye hie places.
6:13For this cause take vnto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the euill day, and hauing finished all things, stand fast.
6:14Stand therefore, and your loynes girded about with veritie, and hauing on the brest plate of righteousnesse,
6:15And your feete shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
6:16Aboue all, take the shielde of faith, wherewith ye may quench all the fierie dartes of the wicked,
6:17And take the helmet of saluation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the worde of God.
6:18And pray alwayes with all maner prayer and supplication in the Spirit: and watch thereunto with all perseuerance and supplication for al Saints,
6:19And for me, that vtterance may be giuen vnto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to publish the secret of the Gospel,
6:20Whereof I am the ambassadour in bonds, that therein I may speake boldely, as I ought to speake.
6:21But that ye may also know mine affaires, and what I doe, Tychicus my deare brother and faithfull minister in the Lord, shall shewe you of all things,
6:22Whom I haue sent vnto you for the same purpose, that ye might knowe mine affaires, and that he might comfort your hearts.
6:23Peace be with the brethren, and loue with faith from God the Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.
6:24Grace be with all them which loue our Lord Iesus Christ, to their immortalitie, Amen.

6:1Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
6:2Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
6:3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
6:4And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
6:5Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6:6Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
6:7With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
6:8Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
6:9And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
6:10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
6:11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
6:12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
6:13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
6:14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
6:15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
6:16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
6:17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
6:18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
6:19And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
6:20For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
6:21But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
6:22Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
6:23Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
6:24Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
Written from Rome unto the Ephesians by Tychicus.
