1:1	Poul, and Siluan, and Tymothe, to the chirche of Tessalonicensis, in God the fadir,
1:2	and in the Lord Jhesu Crist, grace and pees to you. We doon thankyngis to God euere more for alle you, and we maken mynde of you in oure preyeris withouten ceessyng;
1:3	hauynge mynde of the werk of youre feith, and trauel, and charite, and abyding of the hope of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, bifor God and oure fadir.
1:4	Ye louyde britheren of God, we witinge youre chesing;
1:5	for oure gospel was not at you in word oneli, but also in vertu, and in the Hooli Goost, and in myche plente; as ye witen, whiche we weren among you for you;
1:6	and ye ben maad foleweris of vs, and of the Lord, resseyuynge the word in myche tribulacioun, with ioye of the Hooli Goost;
1:7	so that ye ben maad ensaumple to alle men that bileuen, in Macedonye and in Acaie.
1:8	For of you the word of the Lord is pupplischid, not oneli in Macedonye and Acaie, but youre feith that is to God, in ech place is gon forth; so that it is not nede to vs to speke ony thing.
1:9	For thei schewen of you, what maner entre we hadden to you, and hou ye ben conuertid to God fro maumettis, to serue to the lyuynge God and veri; and to abide his sone fro heuenes,
1:10	whom he reiside fro deth, the Lord Jhesu, that delyuerede us fro wraththe to comynge.


1:1	Paul Syluanus and Timotheus. Vnto the congregacion of the Tessalonyans in God the father and in ye Lorde Iesus Christ.Grace be with you and peace from God oure father and from the Lorde Iesus Christ.
1:2	We geve God thakes all waye for you all makinge mension of you in oure prayers
1:3	with out ceasynge and call to remembraunce youre worke in the faythe and labour in love and perseveraunce in the hope of oure lorde Iesus Christ in the sight of God oure father:
1:4	because we knowe brethren beloved of god how yt ye are electe.
1:5	For oure gospell came not vnto you in worde only but also in power and also in the holy gost and in moche certayntie as ye knowe after what maner we behaued oure selves amonge you for youre sakes.
1:6	And ye became folowers of vs and of the lord and receaved the worde in moche affliccion with ioye of the holy gost:
1:7	so that ye were an ensample to all that beleve in Macedonia and Achaia.
1:8	For from you sounded out the worde of the lorde not in Macedonia and in Achaia only: but youre fayth also which ye have vnto god spred her silfe abroade in all quartars so greatly that it nedeth not vs to speake eny thynge at all.
1:9	For they the selves shewe of you what maner of entrynge in we had vnto you and how ye tourned to God from ymages for to serve the livynge and true god
1:10	and for to loke for his sonne from heven whom he raysed from deeth: I mean Iesus which delivereth vs from wrath to come.

1:2	We geue thankes vnto God allwaye for you all, makynge mesion of you in or prayers
1:3	without ceassynge, and call to remembraunce youre worke in the faith, and youre laboure in loue, & youre pacience in hope, which is oure LORDE Iesus Christ before God oure father:
1:4	Because we knowe (brethren, beloued of God) how that ye are electe:
1:5	for oure Gospell hath not bene with you in worde onely, but both in power and in the holy goost, and in moch certayntie, as ye knowe after what maner we were amonge you for youre sakes.
1:6	And ye became the folowers of vs and of the LORDE: and receaued the worde in moch affliccion with ioye of the holy goost:
1:7	so that ye were an example to all that beleued in Macedonia and Achaia.
1:8	For fro you was the worde of the LORDE noysed out, not onely in Macedonia & Achaia, but i all quarters also is yor faith i God spred abrode so that it nedeth not vs to speake eny thinge at all.
1:9	For they them selues shewe of you, what maner of entrynge in we had vnto you, and how ye are turned vnto God from ymages, for to serue the lyuynge and true God,
1:10	and to loke for his sonne from heaue: whom he raysed vp from the deed, euen Iesus, which hath delyuered vs fro the wrath to come.
