1 Timothy - Chapter: 1

1:1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
1:2Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
1:3As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
1:4Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
1:5Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
1:6From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
1:7Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
1:8But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
1:9Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
1:10For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
1:11According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
1:12And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
1:13Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
1:14And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
1:15This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
1:16Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
1:17Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1:18This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
1:19Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
1:20Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

1:1Pavl an Apostle of Iesvs Christ, by the commandement of God our Sauiour, and of our Lord Iesus Christ our hope,
1:2Vnto Timotheus my naturall sonne in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father, and from Christ Iesus our Lord.
1:3As I besought thee to abide still in Ephesus, when I departed into Macedonia, so doe, that thou mayest warne some, that they teach none other doctrine,
1:4Neither that they giue heede to fables and genealogies which are endles, which breede questions rather then godly edifying which is by fayth.
1:5For the end of the commandement is loue out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith vnfained.
1:6From the which things some haue erred, and haue turned vnto vaine iangling.
1:7They would be doctours of the Law, and yet vnderstande not what they speake, neither whereof they affirme.
1:8And we knowe, that the Law is good, if a man vse it lawfully,
1:9Knowing this, that the Lawe is not giuen vnto a righteous man, but vnto the lawles and disobedient, to the vngodly, and to sinners, to the vnholy, and to the prophane, to murtherers of fathers and mothers, to manslayers,
1:10To whoremongers, to buggerers, to menstealers, to lyers, to the periured, and if there be any other thing, that is contrary to wholesome doctrine,
1:11Which is according to the glorious Gospel of the blessed God, which is committed vnto me.
1:12Therefore I thanke him, which hath made me strong, that is, Christ Iesus our Lord: for he counted me faithfull, and put me in his seruice:
1:13When before I was a blasphemer, and a persecuter, and an oppresser: but I was receiued to mercie: for I did it ignorantly through vnbeliefe.
1:14But the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and loue, which is in Christ Iesus.
1:15This is a true saying, and by all meanes worthy to be receiued, that Christ Iesus came into the worlde to saue sinners, of whom I am chiefe.
1:16Notwithstanding, for this cause was I receiued to mercie, that Iesus Christ should first shewe on me all long suffering vnto the ensample of them, which shall in time to come beleeue in him vnto eternall life.
1:17Nowe vnto the King euerlasting, immortall, inuisible, vnto God onely wise, be honour and glorie, for euer, and euer, Amen.
1:18This commandement commit I vnto thee, sonne Timotheus, according to the prophecies, which went before vpon thee, that thou by them shouldest fight a good fight,
1:19Hauing faith and a good conscience, which some haue put away, and as concerning faith, haue made shipwracke.
1:20Of whom is Hymeneus, and Alexander, whom I haue deliuered vnto Satan, that they might learne not to blaspheme.

1:1Paul an Apostle of Iesus Christ by the comaundement of God oure savioure and Lorde Iesus Christ which is oure hope.
1:2Vnto Timothe his naturall sonne in the fayth.Grace mercy and peace from God oure father and Lorde Iesus Christ oure Lorde.
1:3As I besought the to abyde styll in Ephesus when I departed into Macedonia even so do that thou comaunde some that they teache no nother wise:
1:4nether geve hede to fables and genealogies which are endlesse and brede doutes more then godly edyfyinge which is by fayth:
1:5for ye ende of the comaundemet is love that cometh of a pure herte and of a good conscience and of fayth vnfayned:
1:6fro the which thinges some have erred and have turned vnto vayne iangelinge
1:7because they wolde be doctours the scripture and yet vnderstonde not what they speake nether wherof they affirme.
1:8We knowe yt the lawe is good yf a man vse it lawfully
1:9vnderstondinge this how yt the lawe is not geven vnto a righteous man bu vnto the vnrighteous and disobediet to the vngodly and to synners to vnholy and vnclean to murtherers of fathers and murtherers of mothers to manslears
1:10and whormongers: to them that defile them selves with mankynde: to menstealers: to lyars and to periured and so forth yf ther be eny other thinge that is cotrary to holsome doctrine
1:11accordinge to the gospell of the glory of the blessed God which gospell is committed vnto me.
1:12And I thanke Christ Iesus oure Lorde which hath made me stronge: for he counted me true and put me in office
1:13when before I was a blasphemar and a persecuter and a tyraut. But I obtayned mercy because I dyd it ignorautly thorow vnbelefe.
1:14Neverthelater the grace of oure Lorde was more aboundaunt with fayth and love which is in Christ Iesu.
1:15This is a true sayinge and by all meanes worthy to be receaved that Christ Iesus came into the world to save synners of whom I am chefe.
1:16Notwithstondinge for this cause was mercy geve vnto me that Iesus Christ shuld fyrst shewe on me all longe pacience vnto the ensample of them which shall in tyme to come beleve on him vnto eternall lyfe.
1:17So then vnto god kynge everlastinge immortall invisible and wyse only be honoure and prayse for ever and ever Amen.
1:18This commaundement commit I vnto the sonne Timotheus accordynge to the prophisies which in tyme past were prophisied of the yt thou in them shuldest fyght a good fyght
1:19havinge fayth and good consciece which some have put awaye fro them and as cocerninge fayth have made shipwracke.
1:20Of whose nombre is Himeneus and Alexander which I have delivered vnto Satan yt they myght be taught not to blaspheme
