4:1	I Testifye therfore before God, & before the Lord Iesu Christ, which shall iudge the quicke and deed at hys apearinge in hys kyngdom,
4:2	preache thou the worde, be feruent, in season & oute of season. Improue, rebuke, exhorte wt all longe sufferynge and doctryne.
4:3	For the tyme will come, when they shall not suffer wholsome doctryne: but after their awne lustes shall they (whose eares ytche) gett them an heepe of teachers,
4:4	and shall withdrawe their eares from the trueth, and shalbe turned vnto fables.
4:5	But watche thou in all thynges, suffre affliccyons, do the worke thorowlye of an Euangelist, fulfyll thyne offyce vnto the vtmost.
4:6	For I am nowe ready to be offered, and the tyme of my departynge, is at hande.
4:7	I haue fought a good fyght, I haue fulfylled my course, I haue kept the fayth.
4:8	From hence forth ther is layde vp for me a crowne of ryghtewesnes, which the Lorde (that is a ryghteous iudge) shall geue me at that daye: not to me onely, but vnto all them also that loue his comminge.
4:9	Do thy dyligence that thou mayest come shortly vnto me.
4:10	For Demas hath forsaken me, and loueth thys present worlde, and is departed vnto Thessalonica. Crescens is gone to Galacia, Tytus vnto Dalmacia.
4:11	Onely Lucas is with me. Take Marke, and bringe him with the, for he is proffitable vnto me for the minystracyon.
4:12	And Tychycus haue I sent to Ephesus.
4:13	The cloke that I lefte at Troada with Carpus, (when thou commest) bringe with the, and the bokes, but specially the partchement.
4:14	Alexander the coppersmyth dyd me moch euyll: the Lorde rewarde hym accordynge to hys dedes,
4:15	of whom be thou ware also. For he hath greatly wythstande oure wordes.
4:16	At my fyrst answerynge, no man assisted me, but all forsoke me. I praye God, that it maye not be layde to their charges:
4:17	Not wythstandynge the Lorde, assysted me, and strengthed me, that by me the preachynge shulde be fulfylled to the vtmost, and that all the Gentyls shulde heare. And I was delyuered out of the mouth of the lyon.
4:18	And the Lorde shall delyuer me from all euyll doynge, and shall kepe me vnto hys heuenly kyngdom. To whom be prayse for euer and euer. Amen.
4:19	Salute Prisea and Aquila & the housholde of Onesiphorus,
4:20	Erastus abode at Corinthum. Trophunus haue I lefte at Myletum sycke.
4:21	Do thy diligence, that thou mayest come before winter. Eubolus gretith the, and so doth Pudens, and Lynus, Claudia, and all the brethren.
4:22	The Lorde Iesus Christ be with thy sprete. Grace be with you: Amen.

4:8	In `the tothir tyme a coroun of riytwisnesse is kept to me, which the Lord, a iust domesman, schal yelde to me in that dai; and not oneli to me, but also to these that louen his comyng.
4:9	Hyye thou to come to me soone. For Demas, louynge this world, hath forsakun me, and wente to Tessalonyk,
4:10	Crescens in to Galathi, Tite in to Dalmacie;
4:11	Luk aloone is with me. Take thou Mark, and brynge with thee; for he is profitable to me in to seruyce.
4:12	Forsothe Y sente Titicus to Effesi.
4:13	The cloth which Y lefte at Troade at Carpe, whanne thou comest, bringe with thee, and the bookis, but moost parchemyne.
4:14	Alisaundre, the tresorer, schewide to me myche yuele; `the Lord schal yelde to hym aftir his werkis.
4:15	Whom also thou eschewe; for he ayenstood ful greetli oure wordis.
4:16	In my firste defence no man helpide me, but alle forsoken me; be it not arettid to hem.
4:17	But the Lord helpide me, and coumfortide me, that the preching be fillid bi me, and that alle folkis here, that Y am delyueride fro the mouth of the lioun.
4:18	And the Lord delyueride me fro al yuel werk, and schal make me saaf in to his heuenly kingdom, to whom be glorie in to worldis of worldis.
4:19	Amen. Grete wel Prisca, and Aquila, and the hous of Oneseforus.
4:20	Erastus lefte at Corynthi, and Y lefte Trofymus sijk at Mylete.
4:21	Hiye thou to come bifore wyntir. Eubolus, and Prudent, and Lynus, and Claudia, and alle britheren, greten thee wel.
4:22	Oure Lord Jhesu Crist be with thi spirit. The grace of God be with you. Amen.

4:7	I haue foughte a good fighte: I haue fulfylled the course: I haue kepte the faith.
4:8	From hence forth there is layed vp for me a crowne of righteousnes, which the LORDE the righteous iudge shal geue me in yt daye: Howbeit not vnto me onely, but vnto all them that loue his comynge.
4:9	Make spede to come vnto me atonce.
4:10	For Demas hath lefte me, and loueth this present worlde, and is departed vnto Tessalonica, Crescens in to Galacia, Titus vnto Dalmacia,
