1:3but hath opened his worde at ye tyme apoynted thorow preachynge which preachynge is committed vnto me by the commaundement of god oure saveoure.
1:4To Titus his naturall sonne in the commen fayth.Grace mercie and peace from God the father and from the lord Iesu Christ oure saveoure.
1:5For this cause left I ye in Creta that thou shuldest performe that which was lackynge and shuldest ordeyne elders in every citie as I apoynted the.
1:6Yf eny be fautelesse the husbande of one wyfe havynge faythfull childre which are not selandred of royote nether are disobediet.
1:7For a bisshoppe must be fautelesse as it be commeth the minister of God: not stubborne not angrye no dronkarde no fyghter not geven to filthy lucre:
1:8but herberous one that loveth goodnes sobre mynded righteous holy temperat
1:9and suche as cleveth vnto the true worde of doctryne that he maye be able to exhorte with wholsom learnynge and to improve them that saye agaynst it.
1:10For ther are many disobedient and talkers of vanite and disceavers of myndes namely they of the circumcisio
1:11whose mouthes must be stopped which pervert whole houses teachinge thinges which they ought not because of filthy lucre.
1:12One beynge of the selves which was a poyet of their awne sayde: The Cretayns are all wayes lyars evyll beastes and slowe belies.
1:13This witnes is true wherfore rebuke them sharply that they maye be sounde in the fayth

1:1Paul a seruaunt of God, and an Apostle of Iesus Christ, according to the faith of Gods elect, and the acknowledging of the trueth, which is according vnto godlines,
1:2Vnto the hope of eternall life, which God that cannot lie, hath promised before the world began:
1:3But hath made his worde manifest in due time through the preaching, which is committed vnto me, according to the commandement of God our Sauiour:
1:4To Titus my naturall sonne according to the common faith, Grace, mercie and peace from God the Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ our Sauiour.
1:5For this cause left I thee in Creta, that thou shouldest continue to redresse the thinges that remaine, and shouldest ordeine Elders in euery citie, as I appointed thee,
1:6If any be vnreproueable, the husband of one wife, hauing faithfull children, which are not slandered of riot, neither are disobedient.
1:7For a Bishop must bee vnreproueable, as Gods steward, not froward, not angrie, not giuen to wine, no striker, not giuen to filthie lucre,
1:8But harberous, one that loueth goodnesse, wise, righteous, holy, temperate,
1:9Holding fast that faithfull worde according to doctrine, that he also may bee able to exhort with wholesome doctrine, and conuince them that say against it.
1:10For there are many disobedient and vaine talkers and deceiuers of mindes, chiefly they of the Circumcision,
1:11Whose mouthes must bee stopped, which subuert whole houses, teaching things, which they ought not, for filthie lucres sake.
1:12One of themselues, euen one of their owne prophets said, The Cretians are alwaies liars, euill beastes, slowe bellies.
1:13This witnesse is true: wherefore conuince them sharply, that they may be sound in ye faith,
1:14And not taking heede to Iewish fables and commandements of men, that turne away from the trueth.
1:15Vnto the pure are all things pure, but vnto them that are defiled, and vnbeleeuing, is nothing pure, but euen their mindes and consciences are defiled.
1:16They professe that they know God, but by works they deny him, and are abominable and disobedient, and vnto euery good worke reprobate.

1:1Paul a seruant of God, and an Apostle of Iesus Christ, according to the Faith of Gods Elect, and the acknowledging of the trueth which is after godlinesse,
1:2In hope of eternall life, which God that cannot lie, promised before the world began:
1:3But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed vnto mee according to the commandement of God our Sauiour:
1:4To Titus mine owne Sonne after the common faith, Grace, mercie, and peace from God the Father, and the Lord Iesus Christ our Sauiour.
1:5For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordaine Elders in euery citie, as I had appointed thee.
1:6If any be blamelesse, the husband of one wife, hauing faithfull children, not accused of riot, or vnruly.
1:7For a Bishop must be blameles, as the steward of God: not selfewilled, not soone angry, not giuen to wine, no striker, not giuen to filthie lucre,
1:8But a louer of hospitality, a louer of good men, sober, iust, holy, temperate,
1:9Holding fast the faithfull word, as hee hath beene taught, that he may bee able by sound doctrine, both to exhort and to conuince the gainsayers.
1:10For there are many vnruly and vaine talkers and deceiuers, specially they of the circumcision:
1:11Whose mouthes must be stopped, who subuert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthie lucres sake.
1:12One of themselues, euen a Prophet of their owne, said: The Cretians are alway lyers, euill beasts, slow bellies.
1:13This witnesse is true: wherefore rebuke them sharpely that they may be sound in the faith;
1:14Not giuing heede to Iewish fables, and commandements of men that turne from the trueth.
1:15Unto the pure all things are pure, but vnto them that are defiled, and vnbeleeuing, is nothing pure: but euen their mind and conscience is defiled.
1:16They professe that they know God; but in workes they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and vnto euery good worke reprobate.
