Titus - Chapter: 3

>
3:1Warne them that they submytte them selues to rule and power to obeye the offycers that they be ready vnto al good workes
3:2that they speake euyll of noman that they be no fyghters, but softe, shewynge all meakenes vnto all men.
3:3For we our selues also in tymes paste, vnwyse, dysobedient, deceyued, in daunger to lustes, and to dyuers maners of voluptuousnes, lyuyng in malycyousnes and enuye, ful of hate, hatyng one another.
3:4But after that the kyndnes and loue of our sauyoure God to man warde appered,
3:5not of the dedes of rightuousnes, which we wrought but of hys mercy he saued vs, by the fountayne of the newe byrth, & with the renuyng of the holye ghost,
3:6which he shed on vs aboundauntly, thorowe Iesus Christe oure sauyoure,
3:7that we ones iustifyed by hys grace, shoulde be heyres of eternall lyfe, thorow hope.
3:8Thys is a true saiynge. Of these thynges I would thou shouldest certyfye, that they whiche beleue God, might be dylygent to go forwarde in good workes. These thynges are good and profytable vnto men.
3:9Folysh questions and genealogyes, and braulynge and stryfe aboute the law auoyde: for they are vnprofytable and superfluous.
3:10A man that is geuen to heresye, after the fyrst & the seconde admonicyon auoyde,
3:11remembring that he that is suche, is peruerted, and synneth euen damned by hys owne iudgement.
3:12When I shall sende Artemas vnto the or Tichicus, be diligente to come to me vnto Nichopolis. For I haue determyned there to wynter.
3:13Brynge zenas the lawyar and Apollos on theyr iorneye dilygentlye, that nothing be lackyng vnto them.
3:14And let oures also learne to excell in good workes as farforthe, as nede requyreth, that they be not vnfruteful.
3:15All that are with me salute the. Grete them that loue vs in the faythe Grace be wt you all. AMEN.

3:1Pvt them in remembrance that they bee subiect to the Principalities and powers, and that they bee obedient, and ready to euery good woorke,
3:2That they speake euill of no man, that they be no fighters, but soft, shewing all meekenesse vnto all men.
3:3For wee our selues also were in times past vnwise, disobedient, deceiued, seruing the lustes and diuers pleasures, liuing in maliciousnes and enuie, hatefull, and hating one another:
3:4But when that bountifulnesse and that loue of God our Sauiour toward man appeared,
3:5Not by the woorkes of righteousnesse, which we had done, but according to his mercie he saued vs, by the washing of the newe birth, and the renewing of the holy Ghost,
3:6Which he shed on vs aboundantly, through Iesus Christ our Sauiour,
3:7That we, being iustified by his grace, should be made heires according to the hope of eternall life.
3:8This is a true saying, and these thinges I will thou shouldest affirme, that they which haue beleeued God, might be carefull to shewe foorth good woorkes. These things are good and profitable vnto men.
3:9But stay foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and brawlings about the Lawe: for they are vnprofitable and vaine.
3:10Reiect him that is an heretike, after once or twise admonition,
3:11Knowing that hee that is such, is peruerted, and sinneth, being damned of his owne selfe.
3:12When I shall send Artemas vnto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to mee vnto Nicopolis: for I haue determined there to winter.
3:13Bring Zenas the expounder of the Lawe, and Apollos on their iourney diligently, that they lacke nothing.
3:14And let ours also learne to shewe foorth good woorkes for necessary vses, that they be not vnfruitfull.
3:15All that are with mee, salute thee. Greete them that loue vs in the faith. Grace bee with you all, Amen.

3:1Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
3:2To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
3:3For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
3:4But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
3:5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
3:6Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
3:7That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
3:8This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
3:9But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
3:10A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
3:11Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
3:12When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.
3:13Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.
3:14And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
3:15All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.
It was written to Titus, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Cretians, from Nicopolis of Macedonia.
