| 3:1 | See ye what love the Father hath given to us, that children of God we may be called; because of this the world doth not know us, because it did not know Him; |
| 3:2 | beloved, now, children of God are we, and it was not yet manifested what we shall be, and we have known that if he may be manifested, like him we shall be, because we shall see him as he is; |
| 3:3 | and every one who is having this hope on him, doth purify himself, even as he is pure. |
| 3:4 | Every one who is doing the sin, the lawlessness also he doth do, and the sin is the lawlessness, |
| 3:5 | and ye have known that he was manifested that our sins he may take away, and sin is not in him; |
| 3:6 | every one who is remaining in him doth not sin; every one who is sinning, hath not seen him, nor known him. |
| 3:7 | Little children, let no one lead you astray; he who is doing the righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous, |
| 3:8 | he who is doing the sin, of the devil he is, because from the beginning the devil doth sin; for this was the Son of God manifested, that he may break up the works of the devil; |
| 3:9 | every one who hath been begotten of God, sin he doth not, because his seed in him doth remain, and he is not able to sin, because of God he hath been begotten. |
| 3:10 | In this manifest are the children of God, and the children of the devil; every one who is not doing righteousness, is not of God, and he who is not loving his brother, |
| 3:11 | because this is the message that ye did hear from the beginning, that we may love one another, |
| 3:12 | not as Cain -- of the evil one he was, and he did slay his brother, and wherefore did he slay him? because his works were evil, and those of his brother righteous. |
| 3:13 | Do not wonder, my brethren, if the world doth hate you; |
| 3:14 | we -- we have known that we have passed out of the death to the life, because we love the brethren; he who is not loving the brother doth remain in the death. |
| 3:15 | Every one who is hating his brother -- a man-killer he is, and ye have known that no man-killer hath life age-during in him remaining, |
| 3:16 | in this we have known the love, because he for us his life did lay down, and we ought for the brethren the lives to lay down; |
| 3:17 | and whoever may have the goods of the world, and may view his brother having need, and may shut up his bowels from him -- how doth the love of God remain in him? |
| 3:18 | My little children, may we not love in word nor in tongue, but in word and in truth! |
| 3:19 | and in this we know that of the truth we are, and before Him we shall assure our hearts, |
| 3:20 | because if our heart may condemn -- because greater is God than our heart, and He doth know all things. |
| 3:21 | Beloved, if our heart may not condemn us, we have boldness toward God, |
| 3:22 | and whatever we may ask, we receive from Him, because His commands we keep, and the things pleasing before Him we do, |
| 3:23 | and this is His command, that we may believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and may love one another, even as He did give command to us, |
| 3:24 | and he who is keeping His commands, in Him he doth remain, and He in him; and in this we know that He doth remain in us, from the Spirit that He gave us. |
| 3:1 | Beholde what love the father hath shewed on vs that we shuld be called the sonnes of god. For this cause the worlde knoweth you not because it knoweth not him. |
| 3:2 | Derely beloved now are we ye sonnes of God and yet it dothe not appere what we shal be. But we knowe that when it shall appere we shal be lyke him. For we shall se him as he is. |
| 3:3 | And every man that hath thys hope in him pourgeth him silfe even as he ys pure. |
| 3:4 | Whosover committeth synne committeth vnrighteousnes also for synne is vnrighteousnes. |
| 3:5 | And ye knowe that he appered to take awaye oure synnes and in him is no synne. |
| 3:6 | As many as byde in him synne not: whosoever synneth hath not sene him nether hath knowen him. |
| 3:7 | Babes let no man deceave you He that doeth righteousnes is righteous even as he is righteous. |
| 3:8 | He that comitteth synne is of the devill: for the devyll synneth sence the begynnynge. For this purpose appered the sonne of god to lowse the workes of the devill. |
| 3:9 | Whosoever is borne of god sinneth not: for his seed remayneth in him and he cannot sinne because he is borne of god. |
| 3:10 | In this are the children of god knowen and the children of the devyll. Whosoever doeth not rightewesnes is not of God nether he that loveth not his brother. |
| 3:11 | For this is the tydinges that ye hearde fro the begynninge that we shuld love one another: |
| 3:12 | not as Cayn which was of the wicked and slewe his brother. And wherfore slewe he him? Because his awne workes were evyll and his brothers good. |
| 3:13 | Marvayle not my brethren though the worlde hate you. |
| 3:14 | We knowe that we are translated from deeth vnto lyfe be cause we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abydeth in deeth. |
| 3:15 | Whosoever hateth his brother is a man slear. And ye knowe that no man slear hath eternall lyfe abydinge in him. |
| 3:16 | Herby perceave we love: that he gave his lyfe for vs: and therfore ought we also to geve oure lyves for the brethre. |
| 3:17 | Whosoever hath this worldes good and seith his brother have neade: and shutteth vp his copassion from him: how dwelleth the love of God in him? |
| 3:18 | My babes let vs not love in worde nether in tonge: but with dede and in veritie: |
| 3:19 | for therby we knowe that we are of the veritie and can before him quiet oure hertes. |
| 3:20 | But yf oure hertes condempne vs God is gretter then oure hertes and knoweth all thinges. |
| 3:21 | Beloved yf oure hertes condempne vs not then have we trust to god warde: |
| 3:22 | and what soever we axe we shall receave of him: be cause we kepe his commaundementes and do those thinges which are pleasinge in his sight. |
| 3:23 | And this is his comaundemet that we beleve on ye name of his sonne Iesus Christ and love one another as he gave comaundemet. |
| 3:24 | And he yt kepeth his comaundemetes dwelleth in him and he in him: and therby we knowe that ther abydeth in vs of the sprete which he gave vs. |
| 3:1 | Beholde what loue the father hath shewed on vs, yt we shulde be called the childre of God. Therfore ye worlde knoweth you not, because it knoweth not him. |
| 3:2 | Dearly beloued, we are now ye childre of God, and yet hath it not appeared what we shalbe. But we knowe yt when he shal appeare, we shal be like him: for we shal se him as he is. |
| 3:3 | And euery man yt hath this hope in him, pourgeth him selfe, euen as he is pure. |
| 3:4 | Who so euer comytteth synne, comytteth vnrighteousnes also, and synne is vnrighteousnes. |
| 3:5 | And ye knowe that he appeared to take awaye oure synnes: and in him is no synne. |
| 3:6 | Who so euer abydeth in him, synneth not: who soeuer synneth, hath not sene him nether knowne him. |
| 3:7 | Babes, let noman disceaue you. He that doeth righteousnes, is righteous, euen as he is righteous. |
| 3:8 | He that commytteth synne, is of the deuell: for the deuell synneth sence ye begynnynge. For this purpose appeared the sonne of God, to lowse the workes of the deuell. |
| 3:9 | Who so euer is borne of God, synneth not: for his sede remayneth in him, & he ca not synne, because he is borne of God. |
| 3:10 | By this are the children of God knowne & the children of the deuell. Who so euer doeth not righteousnes, is not of God, nether he thath loueth not his brother. |
| 3:11 | For this is the tydinges which ye haue herde from the begynnynge, that ye shulde loue one another, |
