1 John - Chapter: 4

>
4:1Dearly beloued beleue not euery sprete: but proue the spretes, whether they are of god or not, for many false prophetes are gone out into the worlde.
4:2Herby shall ye knowe the sprete of God. Euery sprete that confesseth that Iesu Christ is come in the fleshe is of God.
4:3And euery sprete which confesseth not that Iesus Christ is come in the flesshe, is not of God. And this is that sprete of Antichrist, of whom ye haue hearde, howe that he shulde come: and euen now alredy is he in the worlde.
4:4Lyttell chyldren, ye are of God, and haue ouercome them: for greater is he that is in you, then he that is in the worlde.
4:5They are of the worlde, therfore speake they of the worlde, and the worlde heareth them.
4:6We are of God. He that knoweth God, heareth vs: he that is not of God, heareth vs not. Herby knowe we the sprete of veritie, and the sprete of erroure.
4:7Dearly beloued let vs loue one another: for loue commeth of God. And euery one that loueth, is borne of God, and knoweth God.
4:8He that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue.
4:9In this appeared the loue of God to vs ward, because that God sent hys onely begotten sonne into the worlde, that we might liue thorow him.
4:10Herin is loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, & sent hys sonne to be the agrement for oure synnes.
4:11Dearly beloued, yf God so loued vs, we ought also to loue one another.
4:12No man hath sene God at eny tyme. If we loue one another, God dwelleth in vs, & hys loue is parfect in vs.
4:13Herby knowe we that we dwell in hym, and he in vs: because he hath geuen vs of hys sprete.
4:14And we haue sene, & do testifye, that the father sent the sonne to be the sauyour of the worlde.
4:15Whosoeuer confesseth, that Iesus is the sonne God, in him dwelleth God, & he in God.
4:16And we haue knowen and beleued the loue that God hath to vs. God is loue, & he that dwelleth in loue, dwelleth in God, and God in him.
4:17Here in is the loue perfect in vs, that we shuld haue trust in the daye of iudgement: For as he is, euen so are we in this worlde.
4:18Ther is no feare in loue, but parfect loue casteth out feare, for feare hath paynfulnes. He that feareth, is not parfect in lone.
4:19We loue him, for he loued vs fyrst.
4:20If a man say, I loue God, and yet hate his brother, he is a liar. For how can he that loued not hys brother whom he hath sene, loue God whom he hath not sene?
4:21And this commaundement haue we of hym: that he which loueth God, shuld loue his brother also.

4:1Moost dere britheren, nyle ye bileue to ech spirit, but preue ye spiritis, if thei ben of God; for many false prophetis wenten out in to the world.
4:2In this thing the spirit of God is knowun; ech spirit that knowlechith that Jhesu Crist hath come in fleisch, is of God;
4:3and ech spirit that fordoith Jhesu, is not of God. And this is antecrist, of whom ye herden, that he cometh; and riyt now he is in the world.
4:4Ye, litle sones, ben of God, and ye han ouercome hym; for he that is in you is more, than he that is in the world.
4:5Thei ben of the world, therfor thei speken of the world, and the world herith hem.
4:6We ben of God; he that knowith God, herith vs; he that is not of God, herith not vs. In this thing we knowen the spirit of treuthe, and the spirit of errour.
4:7Moost dere britheren, loue we togidere, for charite is of God; and ech that loueth his brother, is borun of God, and knowith God.
4:8He that loueth not, knowith not God; for God is charite.
4:9In this thing the charite of God apperide in vs, for God sente hise oon bigetun sone in to the world, that we lyue bi hym.
4:10In this thing is charite, not as we hadden loued God, but for he firste louede vs, and sente hise sone foryyuenesse for oure synnes.
4:11Ye moost dere britheren, if God louede vs, we owen to loue ech other.
4:12No man say euer God; if we louen togidre, God dwellith in vs, and the charite of hym is perfit in vs.
4:13In this thing we knowen, that we dwellen in hym, and he in vs; for of his spirit he yaf to vs.
4:14And we sayen, and witnessen, that the fadir sente his sone sauyour of the world.
4:15Who euer knowlechith, that Jhesu is the sone of God, God dwellith in him, and he in God.
4:16And we han knowun, and bileuen to the charite, that God hath in vs. God is charite, and he that dwellith in charite, dwellith in God, and God in hym.
4:17In this thing is the perfit charite of God with vs, that we haue trist in the dai of dom; for as he is, also we ben in this world.
4:18Drede is not in charite, but perfit charite puttith out drede; for drede hath peyne. But he that dredith, is not perfit in charite.
4:19Therfor loue we God, for he louede vs bifore.
4:20If ony man seith, that `Y loue God, and hatith his brother, he is a liere. For he that loueth not his brothir, which he seeth, hou mai he loue God, whom he seeth not?
4:21And we han this comaundement of God, that he that loueth God, loue also his brothir.

4:1Dearly beleued, beleue not ye euery sprete, but proue the spretes, whether they be of God. For many false prophetes are gone out in to the worlde.
4:2Hereby shal ye knowe the sprete of God: Euery sprete which confesseth, that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God:
4:3And euery sprete which confesseth not that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not off God. And this is that sprete of Antechrist, off whom ye haue herde, how that he shal come, and euen now allready is he in the worlde.
4:4Litle children, ye are off God, and haue ouercome them: for greater is he that is in you, then he that is in the worlde.
4:5They are off the worlde, therfore speake they off the worlde, and the worlde herkeneth vnto them.
4:6We are of God, and he that knoweth God, herkeneth vnto vs: he that is not of God, heareth vs not. Here by knowe we the sprete of trueth, and ye sprete of erroure.
4:7Dearly beloued, let vs loue one another, for loue commeth of God. And euery one yt loueth, is borne of God, and knoweth God.
4:8He that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue.
4:9By this appeared the loue of God to vs warde, because that God sent his onely begotten sonne in to this worlde, that we mighte lyue thorow him.
4:10Herein is loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, and sent his sonne to make agremet for oure synnes.
4:11Dearly beloued, yf God so loued vs, we oughte also to loue one another.
4:12No man hath sene God at eny tyme. Yf we loue one another, God dwelleth in vs, and his loue is perfecte in vs.
4:13Hereby knowe we that we dwell in him, and he in vs, because he hath geuen vs of his sprete.
4:14And we haue sene, & testifye that the father sent the sonne to be the Sauioure of the worlde.
4:15Whosoeuer now confesseth yt Iesus is the sonne of God in him dwelleth God, and he in God:
4:16and we haue knowne and beleued the loue that God hath to vs. God is loue, and he that dwelleth in loue dwelleth in God, and God in him.
4:17Here in is the loue perfecte with vs, that we shulde haue a fre boldnesse in the daye of iudgment: for as he is, eue so are we in this worlde.
4:18Feare is not in loue, but perfecte loue casteth out feare: for feare hath paynefulnes. He that feareth, is not perfecte in loue.
4:19Let vs loue him, for he loued vs first.
4:20Yf eny man saye: I loue God, & yet hateth his brother, he is a lyar. For he that loueth not his brother whom he seyth, how can he loue God, whom he seyth not?
4:21And this comaundement haue we of him, that he which loueth God, shulde loue his brother also.
