| 5:1 | Every one who is believing that Jesus is the Christ, of God he hath been begotten, and every one who is loving Him who did beget, doth love also him who is begotten of Him: |
| 5:2 | in this we know that we love the children of God, when we may love God, and His commands may keep; |
| 5:3 | for this is the love of God, that His commands we may keep, and His commands are not burdensome; |
| 5:4 | because every one who is begotten of God doth overcome the world, and this is the victory that did overcome the world -- our faith; |
| 5:5 | who is he who is overcoming the world, if not he who is believing that Jesus is the Son of God? |
| 5:6 | This one is he who did come through water and blood -- Jesus the Christ, not in the water only, but in the water and the blood; and the Spirit it is that is testifying, because the Spirit is the truth, |
| 5:7 | because three are who are testifying `in the heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these -- the three -- are one; |
| 5:8 | and three are who are testifying in the earth', the Spirit, and the water, and the blood, and the three are into the one. |
| 5:9 | If the testimony of men we receive, the testimony of God is greater, because this is the testimony of God that He hath testified concerning His Son. |
| 5:10 | He who is believing in the Son of God, hath the testimony in himself; he who is not believing God, a liar hath made Him, because he hath not believed in the testimony that God hath testified concerning His Son; |
| 5:11 | and this is the testimony, that life age-during did God give to us, and this -- the life -- is in His Son; |
| 5:12 | he who is having the Son, hath the life; he who is not having the Son of God -- the life he hath not. |
| 5:13 | These things I did write to you who are believing in the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that life ye have age-during, and that ye may believe in the name of the Son of God. |
| 5:14 | And this is the boldness that we have toward Him, that if anything we may ask according to his will, He doth hear us, |
| 5:15 | and if we have known that He doth hear us, whatever we may ask, we have known that we have the requests that we have requested from Him. |
| 5:16 | If any one may see his brother sinning a sin not unto death, he shall ask, and He shall give to him life to those sinning not unto death; there is sin to death, not concerning it do I speak that he may beseech; |
| 5:17 | all unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not unto death. |
| 5:18 | We have known that every one who hath been begotten of God doth not sin, but he who was begotten of God doth keep himself, and the evil one doth not touch him; |
| 5:19 | we have known that of God we are, and the whole world in the evil doth lie; |
| 5:20 | and we have known that the Son of God is come, and hath given us a mind, that we may know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ; this one is the true God and the life age-during! |
| 5:21 | Little children, guard yourselves from the idols! Amen. |
| 5:1 | Whosoever beleveh that Iesus is Christ is borne of god. And every one yt loveth him which begat loveth him also which was begotte of him. |
| 5:2 | In this we knowe yt we love the children of god whe we love god and kepe his comaudementes. |
| 5:3 | This is ye love of god yt we kepe his comaundemetes and his comaundementes are not greveous |
| 5:4 | For all that is borne of god over commeth the worlde. And this is the victory that overcometh the worlde even oure fayth. |
| 5:5 | Who is it that overcommeth the worlde: but he which beleveth that Iesus is ye sonne of god? |
| 5:6 | This Iesus Christ is he that ca by water and bloud not by water only: but by water and bloud. And it is the sprete that beareth witnes because the sprete ys trueth. |
| 5:7 | (For ther are thre which beare recorde in heuen the father the worde and the wholy goost. And these thre are one) |
| 5:8 | For there are thre which beare recorde (in erth:) the sprete and water and bloud: and these thre are one. |
| 5:9 | Yf we receave the witnes of men the witnes of god is greater. For this is the witnes of god which he testifyed of his sonne. |
| 5:10 | He that beleveth on the sonne of god hath the witnes in him silfe. He that beleveth not God hath made him a lyar be cause he beleved not the recorde that god gave of his sonne. |
| 5:11 | And this ys that recorde how that god hath geven vnto vs eternall lyfe and this lyfe is in his sonne. |
| 5:12 | He that hath the sonne hath lyfe: and he that hath not the sonne of god hath not lyfe. |
| 5:13 | These thynges have I written vnto you that beleve on the name of the sonne of God that ye maye knowe howe that ye have eternall lyfe and that ye maye beleve on the name of the sonne of god. |
| 5:14 | And this is the trust that we have in him: that yf we axe eny thinge accordynge to his will he heareth vs. |
| 5:15 | And yf we knowe that he heare vs what soever we axe we knowe that we shall have the peticions that we desyre of him. |
| 5:16 | Yf eny man se his brother synne a synne that is not vnto deeth let him axe and he shall geve him lyfe for them that synne not vnto deeth. Ther is a synne vnto deeth for which saye I not that a man shuld praye. |
| 5:17 | All vnrightewesnes is synne and ther is synne not vnto deeth. |
| 5:18 | We knowe that whosoever is borne of god synneth not: but he that is begotten of god kepeth him silfe and that wicked toucheth him not. |
| 5:19 | We knowe that we are of god and that the worlde is altogedder set on wickednes. |
| 5:20 | We knowe that the sonne of God is come and hath geven vs a mynde to knowe him which is true: and we are in him that is true through his sonne Iesu Christ. This same is very god and eternall lyfe. |
| 5:21 | Babes kepe youre selves from ymages. Amen. |
| 5:1 | Who so euer beleueth that Iesus is Christ, is borne of God. And who soeuer loueth him that begat, loueth him also which was begotten of him. |
| 5:2 | By this we knowe that we loue Gods children, whan we loue God, and kepe his commaundementes. |
| 5:3 | For this is the loue of God, that we kepe his commaundementes, and his commaundemetes are not greuous. |
| 5:4 | For all that is borne of God, ouercommeth the worlde: and this is the victory that ouercommeth the worlde, eue oure faith. |

| 5:6 | This is he that cometh with water and bloude, euen Iesus Christ: not with water onely, but with water and bloude. And it is the sprete that beareth wytnes: for the sprete is the trueth. |
| 5:7 | (For there are thre which beare recorde in heauen: the father, the worde, and the holy goost, & these thre are one.) |
| 5:8 | And there are thre which beare recorde in earth: the sprete, water and bloude, and these thre are one. |
| 5:9 | Yf we receaue the witnesse of men, the witnesse of God is greater: for this is the wytnesse of God, which he testifyed of his sonne. |
| 5:10 | He that beleueth on ye sonne of God, hath the wytnes in him selfe. He that beleueth not God, hath made him a lyar. |
| 5:11 | And this is that recorde, euen yt God hath geue vs euerlastinge life. And this life is in his sonne. |
| 5:12 | He that hath the sonne of God, hath life: He that hath not the sonne of God, hath not life. |
