Jude - Chapter: 1
1:1 | Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: |
1:2 | Mercy unto you, and peace and love, be multiplied. |
1:3 | Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. |
1:4 | For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. |
1:5 | I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. |
1:6 | And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. |
1:7 | Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. |
1:8 | Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. |
1:9 | Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. |
1:10 | But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. |
1:11 | Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. |
1:12 | These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; |
1:13 | Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. |
1:14 | And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, |
1:15 | To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. |
1:16 | These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. |
1:17 | But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; |
1:18 | How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. |
1:19 | These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. |
1:20 | But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, |
1:21 | Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. |
1:22 | And of some have compassion, making a difference: |
1:23 | And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. |
1:24 | Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, |
1:25 | To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. |
1:1 | IVde a seruaunt of Iesus Christ, and brother of Iames, to them which are called and sanctified of God the Father, and returned to Iesus Christ: |
1:2 | Mercie vnto you, and peace and loue be multiplied. |
1:3 | Beloued, when I gaue al diligece to write vnto you of the common saluation, it was needful for me to write vnto you to exhort you, that yee should earnestly contend for the maintenace of ye faith, which was once giuen vnto the Saintes. |
1:4 | For there are certaine men crept in, which were before of olde ordeined to this condemnation: vngodly men they are which turne the grace of our God into wantonnesse, and denie God the onely Lord, and our Lord Iesus Christ. |
1:5 | I wil therfore put you in remebrance, forasmuch as ye once knew this, how that the Lord, after that he had deliuered the people out of Egypt, destroied them afterward which beleeued not. |
1:6 | The Angels also which kept not their first estate, but left their owne habitation, hee hath reserued in euerlasting chaines vnder darkenesse vnto the iudgement of the great day. |
1:7 | As Sodom and Gomorrhe, and the cities about them, which in like maner as they did, committed fornication, and followed strange flesh, are set foorth for an ensample, and suffer the vengeance of eternall fire. |
1:8 | Likewise notwithstanding these sleepers also defile the flesh, and despise gouernment, and speake euill of them that are in authoritie. |
1:9 | Yet Michael the Archangell, when hee stroue against the deuill, and disputed about the body of Moses, durst not blame him with cursed speaking, but sayd, The Lord rebuke thee. |
1:10 | But these speake euill of those thinges, which they know not: and whatsoeuer things they know naturally, as beasts, which are without reason, in those things they corrupt them selues. |
1:11 | Wo be vnto them: for they haue followed the way of Cain, and are cast away by the deceit of Balaams wages, and perish in the gainsaying of Core. |
1:12 | These are rockes in your feasts of charitie when they feast with you, without al feare, feeding themselues: cloudes they are without water, caried about of windes, corrupt trees and without fruit, twise dead, and plucked vp by ye rootes. |
1:13 | They are the raging waues of the sea, foming out their owne shame: they are wandring starres, to whome is reserued the blackenesse of darkenesse for euer. |
1:14 | And Enoch also the seuenth from Adam, prophecied of such, saying, Beholde, the Lord commeth with thousands of his Saints, |
1:15 | To giue iudgement against al men, and to rebuke all the vngodly among them of all their wicked deeds, which they haue vngodly committed, and of all their cruel speakings, which wicked sinners haue spoken against him. |
1:16 | These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their owne lustes: Whose mouthes speake proud things, hauing mens persons in admiration, because of aduantage. |
1:17 | But, yee beloued, remember the wordes which were spoken before of the Apostles of our Lord Iesus Christ, |
1:18 | How that they told you that there should be mockers in ye last time, which should walke after their owne vngodly lustes. |
1:19 | These are they that separate them selues from other, naturall, hauing not the Spirit. |
1:20 | But, yee beloued, edifie your selues in your most holy faith, praying in the holy Ghost, |
1:21 | And keepe your selues in the loue of God, looking for the mercie of our Lord Iesus Christ, vnto eternall life. |
1:22 | And haue compassion of some, in putting difference: |
1:23 | And other saue with feare, pulling them out of the fire, and hate euen that garment which is spotted by the flesh. |
1:24 | Nowe vnto him that is able to keepe you, that ye fall not, and to present you faultlesse before the presence of his glorie with ioy, |
1:25 | That is, to God only wise, our Sauiour, be glorie, and maiestie, and dominion, and power, both nowe and for euer, Amen. |
1:1 | Iudas the servaunt of Iesus Christ the brother of Iames. To them which are cal and sanctified in god the father and preserved in Iesu Christ. |
1:2 | Mercy vnto you and peace and love be multiplied. |
1:3 | Beloved when I gave all diligence to write vnto you of the commen saluacion: it was nedfull for me to wryte vnto you to exhorte you that ye shuld continually laboure in the fayth which was once geve vnto the sayntes |
1:4 | For ther are certayne craftely crept in of which it was write afore tyme vnto soche iudgemet. They are vngodly and turne the grace of oure God vnto wantannes and denye God the only Lorde and oure Lorde Iesus Christ. |
1:5 | My mynde is therfore to put you in remebraunce for as moche as ye once knowe this how that the Lorde (after that he had delivered the people out of Egypt) destroyed them which afterwarde beleved not. |
1:6 | The angels also which kept not their fyrst estate: but lefte their awne habitacion he hath reserved in everlastinge chaynes vnder darcknes vnto ye iudgemet of the greate daye: |
1:7 | eve as Sodom and Gomor and the cities aboute them (which in lyke maner defiled them selves with fornicacio and folowed straunge flesshe) are set forth for an ensample and suffre the vengeaunce of eternall fyre. |
1:8 | Lykwyse these dremers defyle the flesshe despyse rulars and speake evyll of them that are in auctoritie. |
1:9 | Yet Michael the archangell when he strove agaynst the devyll and disputed about the body of Moses durst not geve raylinge sentece but sayde: the Lorde rebuke ye. |
1:10 | But these speake evyll of those thinges which they knowe not: and what thinges they knowe naturally as beastes which are without reason in tho thinges they corrupte them selves. |
1:11 | Wo be vnto them for they have folowed ye waye of Cayn and are vtterly geven to the erroure of Balam for lukers sake and perysshe in the treason of Core. |
1:12 | These are spottes which of youre kindnes feast to gedder with out feare fedynge them selves. Cloudes they are with outen water caried about of wyndes and trees with out frute at gadringe tyme twyse deed and plucked vp by the rotes. |
1:13 | They are the ragynge waves of ye see fominge out their awne shame. They are wandrynge starres to whom is reserved the myst of darcknes for ever. |

1:15 | to geve iudgement agaynst all men and to rebuke all that are vngodly amonge them of all their vngodly dedes which they have vngodly comitted and of all their cruell speakynges which vngodly sinners have spoken agaynst him. |
1:16 | These are murmurers complayners walkynge after their awne lustes whose mouthes speake proude thynges. They have men in greate reverence be cause of a vauntage. |
1:17 | But ye beloved remember the wordes which were spoken before of the Apostles of oure lorde Iesus Christ |
1:18 | how that they tolde you that ther shulde be begylers in the last tyme which shuld walke after ther awne vngodly lustes. |
