2:1	Unto the messenger of the congregacyon of Ephesus wryte: these thynges sayth he, that holdeth the seuen starres in hys ryght hande, and that walketh in the myddes of the seuen golden candelstickes.
2:2	I knowe thy workes, and thy labour, & thy pacience, and how thou cannest not forbeare them whych are euyll: and hast examined them whych saye they are Apostles, and are not: & hast founde them lyars,
2:3	& hast suffred. And hast pacience: and for my names sake hast labored, and hast not faynted.
2:4	Neuerthelesse, I haue sum what agaynst the, because thou haste lefte thy fyrst loue.
2:5	Remember therfore from whence thou art fallen, & repent, and do the fyrst worckes. Or elles I wyll come vnto the shortly, & wyll remoue thy candelsticke out of his place, except thou repent.
2:6	But this thou hast, because thou hatest the dedes of the Nycolaitans, which dedes I also hate.
2:7	Lett hym that hath eares, heare what the sprete sayth vnto the congregacyons. To hym that ouercommeth, wyll I geue to eate of the tre of lyfe, which is in the myddes of the Paradyse of God.
2:8	And vnto the angell of the congregacyon of Smyrna wryte: These thynges sayth he that is fyrst, & the laste, which was deed, and is alyue.
2:9	I know thy workes & tribulacyon and pouerte, but thou art ryche. And I knowe the blasphemy of them, whych call them selues Iewes & are not: but are the congregacyon of Sathan.
2:10	Feare none of those thynges, which thou shalt suffre. Beholde, the deuyll shall caste some of you into preson, to tempte you, & ye shall haue tribulacyon ten dayes. Be faythfull vnto the deeth, and I wyll geue the a croune of lyfe.
2:11	Let hym that hath eares, heare, what the sprete sayth to the congregacyons. He that ouercommeth, shall not be hurt of the seconde deeth.
2:12	And to the messenger of the congregacyon in Pergamos wryte: This sayth he, which hath the sharpe swearde with two edges:
2:13	I knowe thy workes, & where thou dwellest, euen where Sathanas seat is, and thou kepest my name, & hast not denyed my fayth. And in my dayes Antipas was a faythfull wytnes of myne, whych was slayne amonge you, where Sathan dwelleth.
2:14	But I haue a fewe thynges agaynst the: because thou hast there, them that mayntayne the doctrine of Balam which taught in Balake, to put occasyon of synne before the chyldren of Israel, that they shulde eate of meate dedycat vnto ydoles, and commyt fornycacyon.
2:15	Euen so hast thou them that mayntayne the doctryne of the Nycolaitans, which thynge I hate.
2:16	But be conuerted, or elles I wyll come vnto the shortly, and wyll fight agaynst them with the swearde of my mouth.
2:17	Let hym that hath eares, heare, what the sprete sayth vnto the congregacyons. To hym that ouercommeth, wyll I geue to eate Manna that is hyd, & wyll geue hym a whyte stone, & in the stone a newe name wrytten, which no man knoweth, sauynge he that receaueth it.
2:18	And vnto the messenger of the congregacyon of Thyatira wryte. Thys sayth the sonne of God, which hath eyes lyke vnto a flamme of fyre, & hys fete are lyke brasse:
2:19	I knowe thy workes, & thy loue, seruyce, and fayth; and thy pacience, & thy dedes, which are mo at the last then at the fyrst.
2:20	Notwith standynge I haue a feaw thynges agaynst the, because thou sufferest that woman Iesabell, which called her selfe a Prophetise, to teache & to deceaue my seruauntes, to make them commyt fornycacyon, & to eate meates offered vp vnto ydoles.
2:21	And I gaue her space to repent of her fornycacyon, & she repented not.
2:22	Beholde, I wyll cast her into a beed: & them that commyt fornycacyon with her into gret aduersytie, excepte they turne from their deades.
2:23	And I wyll kyll her chyldren with deeth. And all the congregacyons shall knowe, that I am he which searcheth the reynes & hertes. And I wyll geue vnto euery one of you acordynge vnto hys workes.
2:24	Unto you I saye, and vnto other of them of Thyatira, as many as haue not this lernyng & which haue not knowen the depnes of Sathan (as they saye) I wyll put vpon you none other burthen,
2:25	but that which ye haue already. Holde fast tyll I come,
2:26	& whosoeuer ouercommeth & kepeth my workes vnto the ende, to hym wyll I geue power ouer nacyons,
2:27	& he shall rule them wt a rodde of yron: & as the vessels of a potter, shall they be broken to sheuers. Euen as I receaued of my father,
2:28	so wyll I geue hym the mornynge starre.
2:29	Let hym that hath eares, heare, what the sprete sayth to the congregacyons.


2:1	And to the aungel of the chirche of Efesus write thou, These thingis seith he, that holdith the seuene sterris in his riyt hond, which walkith in the middil of the seuene goldun candilstikis.
2:2	Y woot thi werkis, and trauel, and thi pacience, and that thou maist not suffre yuele men; and thou hast asaied hem that seien that thei ben apostlis, and ben not, and thou hast foundun hem lieris;
2:3	and thou hast pacience, and thou hast suffrid for my name, and failidist not.
2:4	But Y haue ayens thee a fewe thingis, that thou hast left thi firste charite.
2:5	Therfor be thou myndeful fro whennus thou hast falle, and do penaunce, and do the firste werkis; ether ellis, Y come soone to thee, and Y schal moue thi candilstike fro his place, but `thou do penaunce.
2:6	But thou hast this good thing, that thou hatidist the dedis of Nycholaitis, the whiche also Y hate.
2:7	He that hath eeris, here he, what the spirit seith to the chirchis. To hym that ouercometh Y schal yyue to ete of the tre of lijf, that is in the paradis of my God.
2:8	And to the aungel of the chirche of Smyrma write thou, These thingis seith the firste and the laste, that was deed, and lyueth.
2:9	Y woot thi tribulacioun, and thi pouert, but thou art riche; and thou art blasfemyd of hem, that seien, that thei ben Jewis, and ben not, but ben the synagoge of Sathanas.
2:10	Drede thou no thing of these thingis, whiche thou schalt suffre. Lo! the deuel schal sende summe of you in to prisoun, that ye be temptid; and ye schulen haue tribulacioun ten daies. Be thou feithful to the deth, and Y schal yyue to thee a coroun of lijf.
2:11	He that hath eeris, here he, what the spirit seith to the chirchis. He that ouercometh, schal not be hirt of the secounde deth.
2:12	And to the aungel of the chirche of Pergamus write thou, These thingis seith he, that hath the swerd scharp on ech side.
2:13	Y woot where thou dwellist, where the seete of Sathanas is; and thou holdist my name, and denyedist not my feith. And in tho daies was Antifas, my feithful witnesse, that was slayn at you, where Sathanas dwellith.
2:14	But Y haue ayens thee a fewe thingis; for thou hast `there men holdinge the teching of Balaam, which tauyte Balaac for to sende sclaundre bifor the sones of Israel, to ete of sacrificis of ydols, and to do fornicacioun;
2:15	so also thou hast men holdinge the teching of Nycholaitis.
2:16	Also do thou penaunce; `yif ony thing lesse, Y schal come soone to thee, and Y schal fiyte with hem with the swerd of my mouth.
2:17	He that hath eeris, here he, what the spirit seith to the chirches. To him that ouercometh Y schal yyue aungel mete hid; and Y schal yyue to hym a whiit stoon, and in the stoon a newe name writun, which no man knowith, but he that takith.
2:18	And to the aungel of the chirche of Tiatira write thou, These thingis seith the sone of God, that hath iyen as flawme of fier, and hise feet lijk latoun.
2:19	Y knowe thi werkis, and feith, and charite, and thi seruyce, and thi pacience, and thi laste werkis mo than the formere.
2:20	But Y haue ayens thee a fewe thingis; for thou suffrist the womman Jesabel, which seith that sche is a prophetesse, to teche and disseyue my seruauntis, to do letcherie, and to ete of thingis offrid to idols.
2:21	And Y yaf to hir time, that sche schulde do penaunce, and sche wolde not do penaunce of hir fornycacioun.
2:22	And lo! Y sende hir in to a bed, and thei that doen letcherie with hir schulen be in moost tribulacioun, but thei don penaunce of hir werkis.
2:23	And Y schal slee hir sones in to deth, and alle chirchis schulen wite, that Y am serchinge reynes and hertis; and Y schal yyue to ech man of you after hise werkis.
2:24	And Y seie to you, and to othere that ben at Tiatire, who euer han not this teching, and that knewen not the hiynesse of Sathanas, hou thei seien, Y schal not sende on you another charge; netheles holde ye that that ye han,
2:25	til Y come.
2:26	And to hym that schal ouercome, and that schal kepe til in to the ende my werkis, Y schal yyue power on folkis,
2:27	and he schal gouerne hem in an yrun yerde; and thei schulen be brokun to gidre,
2:28	as a vessel of a pottere, as also Y resseyuede of my fadir; and Y schal yyue to hym a morewe sterre.
2:29	He that hath eeris, here he, what the spirit seith to the chirchis.

2:19	I knowe thy workes and thy loue, seruice, and faith and thy pacience, and thy dedes, which are mo at the last then at the firste
2:20	Not withstondinge I haue a feawe thinges agaynst the, that thou sufferest that woman Iesabell (which called her selfe a prophetisse) to teache and to deceaue my seruauntes, to make them committ fornicacion, and to eate meates offered vp vnto ydoles.
2:21	And I gaue her space to repet of her fornicacion, and she repented not.
