| 5:1 | And I sawe in the ryght hande of hym that sat in the trone, a boke written with in & on the backsyde, sealed with seuen seales. |
| 5:2 | And I sawe a stronge angell, which preached wt a lowde voyce: Who is worthy to open the boke, & to lose the seales therof. |
| 5:3 | And no man in heauen ner in erth nether vnder the erth, was able to open the boke, nether to loke theron. |
| 5:4 | And I wepte moch because no man was founde worthy to open & to reade the boke, nether to loke theron. |
| 5:5 | And one of the elders sayde vnto me wepe not: Beholde, a lyon of the trybe of Iuda, the rote of Dauid, hath obtayned to open the boke, and to lose the seuen seales therof. |
| 5:6 | And I behelde, and lo, in the myddes of the seate, and of the foure bestes, and in the myddes of the elders, stode a lambe as though he had bene kylled, hauynge seuen hornes, and seuen eyes, whych are the seuen spretes of God, sent into all the worlde. |
| 5:7 | And he came, and toke the boke out of the ryght hande of him that sate vpon the seate. |
| 5:8 | And when he had taken the boke, the foure beastes and .xxiiii. elders fell downe before the lambe, hauyng (euery one of them) harpes & golden vialles full of odoures, which are the prayers of saynctes, |
| 5:9 | & they songe a new songe, saying: thou art worthy to take the boke, & to open the seales therof: for thou wast kylled, & hast redemed vs by thy bloud out of all kynredes, & tonges, & people, & nacyons, |
| 5:10 | and hast made vs vnto oure God, kynges, and prestes, & we shall raygne on the erth. |
| 5:11 | And I behelde, and I hearde the voyce of many angels about the trone, & about the beaste & the elders, and I hearde thousand thousandes, |
| 5:12 | saying wt a lowde voyce: Worthy is the lambe that was kylled to receaue power, & ryches, & wysdome, and strength, and honour, & glory, & blessynge. |
| 5:13 | And all the creatures whych are in heauen, & on the erth, & vnder the erth, & in the see, & all that are in them, herde I sayinge, blessyng, honour, glory, & power be vnto hym that sytteth vpon the seate, & vnto the lambe for euermore. |
| 5:14 | And the foure beastes sayd: Amen. And the .xxiiii. elders fell vpon their faces, and worshypped hym that lyueth for euermore. |

| 5:4 | And Y wepte myche, for noon was founde worthi to opene the book, nethir to se it. |
| 5:5 | And oon of the eldre men seide to me, Wepe thou not; lo! a lioun of the lynage of Juda, the roote of Dauid, hath ouercomun to opene the book, and to vndon the seuene seelis of it. |
| 5:6 | And Y say, and lo! in the myddil of the trone, and of the foure beestis, and in the myddil of the eldre men, a lombe stondynge as slayn, that hadde seuene hornes, and seuene iyen, whiche ben seuene spiritis of God, sent in to al the erthe. |
| 5:7 | And he cam, and took of the riythond of the sittere in the trone the book. |
| 5:8 | And whanne he hadde opened the book, the foure beestis and the foure and twenti eldre men fellen doun bifore the lomb; and hadden ech of hem harpis, and goldun violis ful of odours, whiche ben the preyeris of seyntis. |
| 5:9 | And thei sungun a newe song, and seiden, Lord oure God, thou art worthi to take the book, and to opene the seelis of it; for thou were slayn, and ayenbouytist vs to God in thi blood, of ech lynage, `and tunge, and puple, and nacioun; |
| 5:10 | and madist vs a kyngdom, and prestis to oure God; and we schulen regne on erthe. |
| 5:11 | And Y say, and herde the vois of many aungels al aboute the trone, and of the beestis, and of the eldre men. And the noumbre of hem was thousyndis of thousyndis, seiynge with a greet vois, |
| 5:12 | The lomb that was slayn, is worthi to take vertu, and godhed, and wisdom, and strengthe, and onour, and glorie, and blessing. |
| 5:13 | And ech creature that is in heuene, and that is on erthe, and vndur erthe, and the see, and whiche thingis ben in it, Y herde alle seiynge, To hym that sat in the trone, and to the lomb, blessyng, and onour, and glorie, and power, in to worldis of worldis. |
| 5:14 | And the foure beestis seiden, Amen. And the foure and twenti eldre men fellen doun on her faces, and worschipiden hym that lyueth in to worldis of worldis. |

| 5:12 | sayenge with a loude voyce: Worthy is the lambe that was killed, to receaue power, and riches & wissdome, and strength, and honoure and glory, and blessynge. |
| 5:13 | And all creatures, which are in heaue, & on the earth, & vnder the earth, & in the see, & all yt are in the, herd I sayenge: blessinge, honoure, glory, & power, be vnto him, yt sytteth vpo the seate, and vnto the labe for euermore. |
| 5:14 | And the foure beestes saide: Ame. And ye xxiiij. elders fell vpon their faces, and worshipped him that lyueth for euermore. |
