4:1	So King Solomon was king ouer all Israel.
4:2	And these were the Princes which he had, Azariah the sonne of Zadok, the Priest,
4:3	Elihoreph, and Ahiah the sonnes of Shisha, Scribes: Iehoshaphat the sonne of Ahilud the Recorder;
4:4	And Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada was ouer the host: And Zadok and Abiathar were the Priests:
4:5	And Azariah the sonne of Nathan was ouer the officers: and Zabud the sonne of Nathan was principall officer, and the kings friend.
4:6	And Ahishar was ouer the houshold: and Adoniram the sonne of Abda was ouer the tribute.
4:7	And Solomon had twelue officers ouer all Israel, which prouided victuals for the king and his houshold: each man his moneth in a yeere made prouision.
4:8	And these are their names: the sonne of Hur in mount Ephraim,
4:9	The sonne of Dekar in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elon-Bethhanan.
4:10	The sonne of Heseb in Aruboth, to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher;
4:11	The sonne of Abinadab in all the region of Dor, which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
4:12	Baana the sonne of Ahilud, to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Iezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-Meholah, euen vnto the place that is beyond Iokneam:
4:13	The sonne of Geber in Ramoth Gilead, to him pertained the townes of Iair the sonne of Manasseh, which are in Gilead: to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities, with walles, and brasen barres.
4:14	Ahinadab the sonne of Iddo had Mahanaim.
4:15	Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also tooke Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife.
4:16	Baanah the sonne of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
4:17	Iehoshaphat the sonne of Paruah in Issachar:
4:18	Shimei the sonne of Elah in Beniamin:
4:19	Geber the sonne of Uri was in the countrey of Gilead, in the countrey of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and hee was the onely officer which was in the land.
4:20	Iudah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merrie.
4:21	And Solomon reigned ouer all kingdoms from the riuer vnto the land of the Philistines, and vnto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and serued Solomon all the dayes of his life.
4:22	And Solomons prouision for one day, was thirtie measures of fine floure, and threescore measures of meale,
4:23	Ten fat oxen, and twentie oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheepe, beside Harts, and Roe-buckes, and fallow Deere, and fatted foule.
4:24	For he had dominion ouer all the region on this side the Riuer, from Tiphsah euen to Azzah ouer all the kings on this side the Riuer: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
4:25	And Iudah and Israel dwelt safely, euery man vnder his Uine, and vnder his Figtree, from Dan euen to Beer-sheba, all the dayes of Solomon.
4:26	And Solomon had fourtie thousand stalles of horses for his charets, and twelue thousand horsemen.
4:27	And those officers prouided victuall for king Solomon, and for all that came vnto king Solomons table, euery man in his moneth: they lacked nothing.
4:28	Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries, brought they vnto the place where the officers were, euery man according to his charge.
4:29	And God gaue Solomon wisdome, and vnderstanding, exceeding much, and largenesse of heart, euen as the sand that is on the sea shoare.
4:30	And Solomons wisedome excelled the wisedome of all the children of the East countrey, and all the wisedome of Egypt.
4:31	For hee was wiser then all men; then Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda the sonnes of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
4:32	And he spake three thousand prouerbes: and his songs were a thousand and fiue.
4:33	And hee spake of trees, from the Cedar tree that is in Lebanon, euen vnto the Hyssope that springeth out of the wall: hee spake also of beasts, and of foule, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
4:34	And there came of all people to heare the wisedome of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisedome.

4:22	And Salomons vitailes for one day were thirtie measures of fine floure, and threescore measures of meale:

4:25	And Iudah and Israel dwelt without feare, euery man vnder his vine, and vnder his fig tree, from Dan, euen to Beer-sheba, all the dayes of Salomon.

4:27	And these officers prouided vitaile for king Salomon, and for all that came to King Salomons table, euery man his moneth, and they suffred to lacke nothing.

4:29	And God gaue Salomon wisdome and vnderstanding exceeding much, and a large heart, euen as the sand that is on the sea shore,
4:30	And Salomons wisdome excelled the wisedome of all the children of the East and all the wisedome of Egypt.
4:31	For he was wiser then any man: yea, then were Ethan the Ezrahite, the Heman, then Chalcol, then Darda the sonnes of Mahol: and he was famous throughout all nations round about.
4:32	And Salomon spake three thousand prouerbs: and his songs were a thousand and fiue.
4:33	And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon, euen vnto the hyssope that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of foules, and of creeping thinges, and of fishes.
4:34	And there came of all people to heare the wisedome of Salomon, from all Kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisedome.


4:1	And so kynge Salomon was kinge ouer all Israel.
4:2	And these were hys lordes. Azariahu the sonne of Sadock the prest.
4:3	Elihoreph and Ahiah the sonnes of Sisa, scrybes. Iehosaphath the sonne of Ahilud, the recorder.
4:4	Banaiahu the sonne of Iehoiada was ouer the hooste. And Sadock and Abiathar were the preastes.
4:5	And Azariahu the sonne of Nathan was ouer the officiers. And Zabud the sonne of Nathan was a preste, the kynges companyon.
4:6	And Ahisar stewarde of housholde. And Adoniram the sonne of Abda was ouer the trybutes.
4:7	And Salomon had twelue officiers ouer all Israel, which prouyded vitayle for the kynge and his housholde: eche man hys moneth in a yeare, made prouision for necessary thinges.
4:8	And these are theyr names: the sonne of Hur in mount Ephraim:
4:9	the sonne of Dekar in Makaz, and in Saalbin & Bethsames, Elon and Bethhanan:
4:10	the sonne of Hesed in Aruboth, to whom perteyned Socho and all the land of Hepher:
4:11	the sonne of Abinadab in all the region of Dor, which had Tapheth the daughter of Salomon to wyfe:
4:12	Baana the sonne of Ahilud was ouer Chanach & Magiddo, & ouer all Bethsan, which is by Zarthana beneth Iezrael, from Bethsan to the playne of Mehola, euen vnto the place that is ouer agaynst Iechmeam:
4:13	the sonne of Gaber had Ramoth Gilead, & his were the townes of Iair: the sonne of Manasse, which are in Gilead, & vnder him was the region of Argob which is in Basan thre skore greate cyties with walles and barres of brasse.
4:14	Ahinadab the sonne of Hiddo had Mahenaim.
4:15	Ahimaaz was in Nephthalim, and he toke Basmath the daughter of Salomon to wyfe.
4:16	Baana the sonne of Husai was in Aser & in Aloth.
4:17	Iehosaphat the sonne of Paruah was in Isachar.
4:18	Semei the sonne of Ela was in Beniamin.
4:19	Gaber the sonne of Ury was in the countrey of Gilead, the lande of Sehon kyng of the Amorites, & of Og king of Basan, and was officer alone in the lande.
4:20	And Iuda and Israel were many, euen as the sand of the see in nombre, eatyng, drynckyng & making mery.
4:21	And Salomon raygned ouer all kyngdoms, from the ryuer vnto the lande of the Philistines: euen vnto the border of Egypt, and they brought presentes, and serued Salomon all the dayes of hys lyfe.
4:22	And Salomons breed for one daye was .xxx. quarters of manchet floure, and thre skore quarters of meale:
4:23	ten stalled oxen, and .xx. out of the pastures, and a hundred shepe, besyde hertes, buckes, and wilde goates and capons.
4:24	For he ruled in all the region on the other side Euphrates, from Thiphsah to Aza; ouer all the kynges on the other syde the ryuer. And he had peace with all hys seruauntes on euery syde.
4:25	And Iuda and Israel dwelt without feare, euery man vnder hys vyne and vnder hys fygg tre, from Dan to Beerseba, all the dayes of Salomon.
4:26	And Salomon had .xl.M. stalles of horses for charrettes, and .xij.M. horsmen.
4:27	And the officers prouyded vytayle for kyng Salomon and for all that came out of any place to kynge Salomons table, euery man hys moneth, so that there lacked nothyng.
4:28	Barlye also and straw for the horses and mules, brought they vnto the place where the offycers were, euery man in hys offyce.
4:29	And God gaue Salomon wysdome and vnderstandynge exceadynge moche, and a large hert, euen as the sand that is on the see shore:
4:30	and Salomons wysdome excelled the wysdome of all the chyldren of the east contrey, and all the wysdome of Egipt.
4:31	For he was wyser then all men, yee then, Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, & Darda the sonnes of Mahol. And his name was spoken of thorowe out all nacyons on euery syde.
4:32	And Salomon spake thre thousand prouerbes. And his songes were a thousand and fyue.
4:33	And he spake of trees, euen from the Cedar tre that groweth in Libanon, vnto the Isope that spryngeth out of the wall. He spake also of beastes, of foules, of wormes, and of fysshes.
4:34	And there came of all nacyons to heare the wysdome of Salomon, and from all kynges of the earth, which had hearde of hys wysdome.
