1 Chronicles - Chapter: 4

4:1The sonnes of Iudah: Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
4:2And Reaiah, the son of Shobal, begate Iahath, and Iahath begate Ahumai, & Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.
4:3And these were of the father of Etam: Iezreel & Ishma, & Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.
4:4And Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These are the sonnes of Hur, the first borne of Ephratah, the father of Bethlehem.
4:5And Ashur the father of Tekoa, had two wiues: Helah, & Naarah.
4:6And Naarah bare him Ahusam, and Hepher, and Temeni, and Ahashtari. These were the sonnes of Naarah.
4:7And the sonnes of Helah were: Zereth, and Zoar, and Ethnan.
4:8And Coz begate Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel, the sonne of Harum.
4:9And Iabez was more honourable then his brethren: and his mother called his name Iabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.
4:10And Iabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest blesse mee indeede, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might bee with me, and that thou wouldest keepe mee from euill, that it may not grieue me. And God granted him that which he requested.
4:11And Chelub the brother of Shuah, begate Mehir, which was the father of Eshton.
4:12And Eshton begate Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Ir-nahash. These are the men of Rechah.
4:13And the sonnes of Kenaz: Othniel, and Saraia: and the sonnes of Othniel, Hathath.
4:14And Meonothai begate Ophrah: and Seraiah begate Ioab, the father of the valley of Charasim, for they were craftesmen.
4:15And the sonnes of Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam, and the sonnes of Elah, euen Kenaz.
4:16And the sonnes of Iehaleleel: Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.
4:17And the sonnes of Ezra were: Iether, and Mered, and Epher, and Ialon: and she bare Miriam, and Shammai, & Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
4:18And his wife Iehudiiah bare Iered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Iekuthiel the father of Zanoah. And these are the sonnes of Bithiah the daughter of Pharaoh, which Mered tooke.
4:19And the sonnes of his wife Hodiah, the sister of Naham the father of Keilah, the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
4:20And the sonnes of Simeon were: Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-hanan, and Tilon. And the sonnes of Ishi were: Zoheth, and Ben-zoheth.
4:21The sonnes of Shelah the sonne of Iudah were: Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linnen, of the house of Ashbea.
4:22And Iokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Ioash, and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab, & Iashubi Lehem. And these are ancient things.
4:23These were the Potters, and those that dwelt amongst plants and hedges. There they dwelt with the king for his worke.
4:24The sonnes of Simeon were: Nemuel, and Iamin, Iarib, Zerah, and Shaul:
4:25Shallum his sonne: Mibsam his sonne: Mishma his sonne.
4:26And the sonnes of Mishma: Hamuel his sonne, Zacchur his sonne, Shimei his sonne.
4:27And Shimei had sixteene sonnes, and sixe daughters, but his brethren had not many children, neither did all their family multiply like to the children of Iudah.
4:28And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-shual,
4:29And at Bilha, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
4:30And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
4:31And at Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-Susim, and at Bethbirei, and at Shaaraim. These were their cities, vnto the reigne of Dauid.
4:32And their villages were: Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, fiue cities.
4:33And all their villages that were round about the same cities, vnto Baal. These were their habitations, and their genealogie:
4:34And Meshobab, and Iamlech, and Ioshah the sonne of Amashiah,
4:35And Ioel, and Iehu the sonne of Iosibia, the sonne of Seraia, the sonne of Asiel,
4:36And Elioenai, and Iaakobah, and Iesohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Iesimiel, and Benaiah,
4:37And Ziza the sonne of Shiphi, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Iedaia, the sonne of Shimri, the sonne of Shemaiah.
4:38These mentioned by their names, were Princes in their families, and the house of their fathers increased greatly.
4:39And they went to the entrance of Gedor, euen vnto the East side of the valley, to seeke pasture for their flocks.
4:40And they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide, and quiet, and peaceable: for they of Ham had dwelt there of old.
4:41And these written by name, came in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and smote their tents, and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this day, and dwelt in their roomes: because there was pasture there for their flocks.
4:42And some of them, euen of the sonnes of Simeon, fiue hundred men, went to mount Seir, hauing for their captaines Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sonnes of Ishi.
4:43And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there vnto this day.

4:28And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and at Moladah, and at Hazar Shual,

4:30And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
4:31And at Beth-marcaboth, and at Hazar Susim, at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim, these were their cities vnto the reigne of Dauid.
4:32And their townes were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, fiue cities.
4:33And all their townes that were rounde about these cities vnto Baal, These are their habitations and the declaration of their genealogie,
4:34And Meshobab, and Iamlech, and Ioshah the sonne of Amashiah,
4:35And Ioel and Iehu the sonne of Ioshibiah, the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Asiel,
4:36And Elionai, and Iaakobah, and Ieshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Iesimiel, and Benaiah,
4:37And Ziza the sonne of Shiphei, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Iedaiah, the sonne of Shimri, the sonne of Shemaiah.
4:38These were famous princes in their families, and increased greatly their fathers houses.
4:39And they went to the entring in of Gedor, euen vnto the East side of the valley, to seeke pasture for their sheepe.
4:40And they found fat pasture and good, and a wide land, both quiet and fruitfull: for they of Ham had dwelt there before.
4:41And these described by name, came in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and smote their tents, and the inhabitants that were found there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this day, and dwelt in their roume, because there was pasture there for their sheepe.
4:42And besides these, fiue hundreth men of the sonnes of Simeon went to mount Seir, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rophaiah, and Vzziel the sonnes of Ishi were their captaines,
4:43And they smote the rest of Amalek that had escaped, and they dwelt there vnto this day.

4:3And of these came the father of Etham, Iezrael, Iisma and Iidbas, and the name of theyr syster was Hazlelpeni.
4:4Penuel was the father of Gedor. And Eser the father of Husa. And these are the sonnes of Hur the eldest sonne of Ephrata the father of Bethlehem.
4:5And Ashur the father of Thekoa had two wyues: Heleah and Naara.
4:6And Naara bare hym Ahusam, Hepher, Themni and Hahastari. These were the sonnes of Naarah.
4:7And the sonnes of Heleah were Zareth, Iezoar and Ethnan.
4:8And Coz begat Anub and Zobeba, and the kynred of Aharhel the sonne of Harum.
4:9And Ioabes was more honorable then his brethren. And hys mother called his name Iabes, sayinge. because I bare hym with sorowe.
4:10And Iabes called on the God of Israel, sayinge: If thou wylt blesse me in dede, and enlarge my coastes, and shalt let thyne hande be with me. and wylt kepe me from euell that it hurt me not? And God graunted hym hys desyre.

4:12And Esthon begat Bethrapha, and Paseha, and Thehinna the father of the citye of Nahas: these are the men of Recha.
4:13The sonnes of Kenas: Othniel and Saraia. And the sonnes of Othniel were Hathath.
4:14And Meonothi begat Ophran. And Seraia begat Ioab the father of the valeye of craftes men (so called) because they were craftes men.
4:15And the sonnes of Caleb the sonne of Iephune were: Iru, Ela and Naan. And the sonne of Ela was Kenas.
4:16And the sonnes of Iehalelel were Ziph, and Ziphah, Thiria and Asarel.
4:17And the sonnes of Ezra: were: Iether, and Mered, Epher, Ialon, Thahar, and Miriam, and Sammai, and Iisbah the father of Esthemoa.
4:18And hys wyfe Iehudia bare Iered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Ieruthiel the father of Zanoah. And these are the sonnes of Bithiah the daughter of Pharao, whych Mered toke.
4:19The sonnes of the wyfe of Hodia the syster of Nahan the father of Keilah were: Barmi, and Esthemoa. the Maachathite.
4:20The sonnes of Symon were: Ammon, and Rimna, Benhanan and Thilon. And the sonnes of Iissi were: Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
4:21The sonnes of Selah the sonne of Iuda were: Er the father of Lecha, and Laada the father of Maresa, and the kynredes of the housholdes of them that wrought linnen in the house of Asbea.
4:22And Iokim and the men of Chozebah, and Ioas, and Saraph, whych had the dominyon in Moad, and Iasubi Lehem. These also are wordes of olde.
4:23These were potters, and dwelt there amonge trees & hedges, nye vnto the kynge: because of hys worke.
4:24The sonnes of Simeon were: Nemuel, Iamin, Iarib, Zerah and Saul:
4:25whose sonne was Sallum: and the sonne of hym was Mibsam, and hys sonne was Misma.
4:26And the sonne of Misma was Hamuel, and hys sonne was Zachur, and the sonne of hym was Simehi.
4:27Semehi had syxtene sonnes & syxe daughters. But hys brethren had nott manye chyldren, neyther was all the kynred of them lyke to the chyldren of Iuda in multytude.
4:28And they dwelt at Beerseba, Molada, and at Hazar Sual,
4:29at Bilha, at Ezem, and at Tholad,
4:30at Bethuel, at Horma, and at Ziklag,
4:31at Bethmarcaboth, Hazar Susun, at Bethbirei, and at Saaraim. These were theyr cityes vnto the raygne of Dauid.
4:32And theyr vyllages were: Etan, and Ain, Rimmon, Tochen and Asan, fyue townes;
4:33and all theyr vyllages that were rounde aboute the same cytyes vnto Baal. Thys is the habitacyon of them, and theyr genealogie.
4:34Mosobab and Iamlech, and Iosa the sonne of Amasia:
4:35and Ioel and Iehu the sonne of Iosibia, the sonne of Saraia, the sonne of Asiel:
4:36and Elioenai, and Iaakoba, Isohaia and Asaiah, Adiel, Isimiel and Benaia:
4:37and Ziza the sonne of Schibhi, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Ieoaia, the sonne of Zemri, the sonne of Semaia.
4:38These are famouse captaynes in their kynredes, setting vp greatly the house of theyr fathers.
4:39And they went to the entryng in of Gedor, euen vnto the east syde of the valeye, to seke pasture for ther shepe.
4:40And they founde fatt pasture and good, and a wyde lande, quyet and frutefull: for they of Ham had dwelt ther before.
4:41And these now afore written by name, came in the dayes of Hezekia kynge of Iuda, and smote the tentes of them, and the habitacions that were founde there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this daye, & dwelt in theyr rowmes: because there was pasture there for theyr shepe.
4:42And some of the chyldren of Symeon went to mount Seyr, euen fyue hundred men, hauynge for theyr captaynes, Phelathia, Nearia, Raphaia and Uziel the sonnes of Isi:
4:43and smote the reste of the Amalekites that were escaped, and they dwelt there vnto thys daye.
