9:1Therfor al Israel was noumbrid, and the summe of hem was writun in the book of kyngis of Israel and of Juda; and thei weren translatid in to Babiloyne for her synne.
9:2Sotheli thei that dwelliden first in her citees, and in the possessiouns of Israel, and the preestis, and the dekenes, and Natyneys, dwelliden in Jerusalem.
9:3Of the sones of Juda, and of the sones of Beniamyn, also of the sones of Effraym, and of Manasses;
9:4Othi, the sone of Amyud, sone of Semry, sone of Omroy, sone of Bonny, of the sones of Phares, the sone of Juda;
9:5and of Sylom, Asia, the firste gendrid, and his sones;
9:6sotheli of the sones of Zaray, Heuel, and hise britheren; sixe hundrid fourescore and ten.
9:7Forsothe of the sones of Beniamyn; Salo, the sone of Mosollam, the sones of Odoia, the sones of Asana,
9:8and Jobanya, the sone of Jerobam, and Ela, the sone of Ozi, the sones of Mochozi, and Mosollam, the sone of Saphacie, sone of Rahuel, sone of Jebanye, and the britheren of hem,
9:9bi her meynees; nyne hundrid sixe and fifti. Alle these weren princes of her kynredis by the housis of her fadris.
9:10Forsothe of the preestis, Joiada, Jozarib, and Jachym;
9:11and Azarie, the sone of Helchie, sone of Mosollam, sone of Sadoch, sone of Maraioth, sone of Achitob, was bischop of the hows of the Lord.
9:12Forsothe Adaias, sone of Jeroam, sone of Phasor, sone of Melchia, and Masaia, sone of Adihel, sone of Jezra, sone of Mosollam, sone of Mosselamoth, sone of Emyner,
9:13also her britheren, prynces bi her meynees, weren a thousynde seuene hundrid and fourescoore, men strongeste in bodili myyt, to make the werk of seruyce in the hows of the Lord.
9:14Forsothe of dekenes, Semeya, the sone of Assub, sone of Ezricam, sone of Asebyn, of the sones of Merary;
9:15also Balthasar the carpenter, and Galebeth, and Machama, sone of Mycha, sone of Zechri, sone of Asaph,
9:16and Obdias, sone of Semey, sone of Calaal, sone of Idithum, and Barachie, the sone of Asa, sone of Helcana, that dwellide in the porchis of Methophati.
9:17Sotheli the porteris weren Sellum, and Achub, and Thelmon, and Achyman, and the britheren of hem; Sellum was the prince;
9:18til to that tyme thei kepten bi her whilis in the yate of the kyng at the eest, of the sones of Leuy.
9:19Sellum forsothe, the sone of Chore, sone of Abiasaph, sone of Chore, with hise britheren, and with the hows of his fadir; these ben the sones of Chore on the werkis of the seruyce, keperis of the porchis of the tabernacle, and the meynees of hem kepten bi whilis the entryng of the castelis of the Lord.
9:20Forsothe Phynees, the sone of Eleazar, was the duyk of hem bifor the Lord.
9:21Sotheli Zacarie, the sone of Mosollam, was porter of the yate of the tabernacle of witnessyng.
9:22Alle these chosun in to porteris bi yatis weren twei hundrid and twelue, and weren discryued in her owne townes, which dekenes Dauid and Samuel, the prophete, ordeyneden in her feith,
9:23both hem and the sones of hem in the doris of the hows of the Lord, and in the tabernacle of witnessyng, bi her whiles.
9:24Porteris weren bi foure coostis, that is, at the eest, and at the west, and at the north, and at the south.
9:25Forsothe her britheren dwelliden in townes, and camen in her sabatis fro tyme til to tyme.
9:26Al the noumbre of porteris was bitakun to these foure dekenes, and thei kepten the chaumbris, and the tresours of the hows of the Lord.
9:27Also thei dwelliden in her kepyngis bi the cumpas of the temple of the Lord, that whanne tyme were, thei schulden opene the yatis eerli.
9:28Men of her kyn weren also on the vessels of seruyce; for the vessels weren borun in at noumbre, and weren borun out of hem.
9:29And thei that hadden the vesselis of seyntuarie bitakun to her kepyng, weren souereyns on flour, and wyn, and oile, and encense, and swete smellinge spyceries.
9:30Sotheli the sones of preestis maden oynementis of swete smellynge spiceries.
9:31And Mathatias dekene, the firste gendrid sone of Sellum of the kynrede of Chore, was the souereyn of alle thingis that weren fried in the friyng panne.
9:32Sotheli men of the sones of Caath, the britheren of hem, weren on the looues of settyng forth, that thei schulden make redi euere newe looues bi ech sabat.
9:33These ben the princis of chauntouris bi the meynees of Leuytis, that dwelliden in chaumbris, so that thei schulden serue contynueli dai and nyyt in her seruyce.
9:34The heedis of Leuitis bi her meynees, the princes, dwelliden in Jerusalem.
9:35Forsothe there dwelliden in Gabaon; Jaiel, the fadir of Gabaon, and the name of his wijf Maacha;
9:36Abdon, his firste gendrid sone, and Sur, and Cys, and Baal,
9:37and Ner, and Nadab, and Gedor, and Ahaio, and Zacharie, and Macelloth; forsothe Macelloth gendride Semmaa;
9:38these dwelliden euene ayens her britheren in Jerusalem, with her britheren.
9:39Sotheli Ner gendride Cys, and Cys gendride Saul, and Saul gendride Jonathan, and Melchisue, and Abynadab, and Hisbaal.
9:40Forsothe the sone of Jonathan was Myribaal, and Myribaal gendride Mycha.
9:41Sotheli the sones of Micha weren Phiton, and Malech, and Thara;
9:42forsothe Aaz gendride Jara, and Jara gendride Alamath, and Azmoth, and Zamri; and Zamri gendride Moosa,
9:43sotheli Moosa gendride Baana, whose sone Raphaia gendride Elisa, of whom Esel was gendrid.
9:44Forsothe Esel hadde sixe sones bi these names, Ezricam, Bochru, Hismael, Saria, Obdia, Anan; these weren the sones of Hesel.

 

9:1Thus all Israel were nombred by their genealogies: and beholde, they are written in the booke of the Kings of Israel and of Iudah, and they were caried away to Babel for their transgression.
9:2And the chiefe inhabitants that dwelt in their owne possessions, and in their owne cities, euen Israel the Priestes, the Leuites, and the Nethinims.
9:3And in Ierusalem dwelt of the children of Iudah, and of the children of Beniamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh.
9:4Vthai the sonne of Amihud the sonne of Omri, the sonne of Imri, the sonne of Bani: of the children of Pharez, the sonne of Iudah.
9:5And of Shiloni, Asaiah the eldest, and his sonnes.
9:6And the sonnes of Zerah, Ieuel, and their brethren sixe hundreth and ninetie.
9:7And of the sonnes of Beniamin, Sallu the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Hodauiah, the sonne of Hasenuah,
9:8And Ibneiah the sonne of Ieroham, and Elah the sonne of Vzzi, the sonne of Michri, and Meshullam the sonne of Shephatiah, the sonne of Reuel, the sonne of Ibniiah.
9:9And their brethren according to their generations nine hundreth, fiftie and sixe: all these men were chiefe fathers in the housholdes of their fathers.
9:10And of the Priestes, Iedaiah, and Iehoiarib, and Iachin,
9:11And Azariah the sonne of Hilkiah, ye sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Meraioth, the sonne of Ahitub the chiefe of the house of God,
9:12And Adaiah the sonne of Ieroham, ye sonne of Pashur, the sonne of Malchiiah, and Maasai the sonne of Adiel, the sonne of Iahzerah, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Meshillemith, the sonne of Immer.
9:13And their brethre the chiefe of the households of their fathers a thousand, seuen hundreth and three score valiant men, for the worke of the seruice of the house of God.
9:14And of the Leuites, Shemaiah the sonne of Hasshub, the sonne of Azrikam, the sonne of Hashabiah of the sonnes of Merari,
9:15And Bakbakkar, Heresh and Galal, and Mattaniah the sonne of Micha, the sonne of Zichri, the sonne of Asaph,
9:16And Obadiah the sonne of Shemaiah, the sonne of Galal, the sonne of Ieduthun, and Berechiah, the sonne of Asa, the sonne of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
9:17And the porters were Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum was the chiefe.
9:18For they were porters to this time by companies of the children of Leui vnto the Kinges gate eastward.
9:19And Shallum the sonne of Kore the sonne of Ebiasaph the sonne of Korah, and his brethren the Korathites (of the house of their father) were ouer the worke, and office to keepe the gates of the Tabernacle: so their families were ouer the hoste of the Lord, keeping the entrie.
9:20And Phinehas ye sonne of Eleazar was their guide, and the Lord was with him.
9:21Zechariah the sonne of Meshelemiah was the porter of the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
9:22All these were chosen for porters of the gates, two hundreth and twelue, which were nombred according to their genealogies by their townes. Dauid established these and Samuel the Seer in their perpetuall office.
9:23So they and their children had the ouersight of the gates of the house of the Lord, euen of the house of the Tabernacle by wardes.
9:24The porters were in foure quarters Eastward, Westward, Northward and Southward.
9:25And their brethren, which were in their townes, came at seuen dayes from time to time with them.
9:26For these foure chiefe porters were in perpetuall office, and were of the Leuites and had charge of the chambers, and of the treasures in the house of God.
9:27And they lay rounde about the house of God, because the charge was theirs, and they caused it to be opened euery morning.
9:28And certaine of them had the rule of the ministring vessels: for they brought them in by tale, and brought them out by tale.
9:29Some of them also were appoynted ouer the instruments, and ouer all the vessels of the Sanctuarie, and of the floure, and the wine, and the oyle, and the incense, and the sweete odours.
9:30And certaine of the sonnes of the Priestes made oyntments of sweete odours.
9:31And Mattithiah one of the Leuites which was the eldest sonne of Shallum the Korhite, had the charge of the things that were made in the frying panne.
9:32And other of their brethren the sonnes of Kohath had the ouersight of the shewbread to prepare it euery Sabbath.
9:33And these are the singers, the chiefe fathers of the Leuites, which dwelt in the chambers, and had none other charge: for they had to do in that busines day and night:
9:34These were the chiefe fathers of the Leuites according to their generations, and the principall which dwelt at Ierusalem.
9:35And in Gibeon dwelt ye father of Gibeon, Ieiel, and the name of his wife was Maachah.
9:36And his eldest sonne was Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,
9:37And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
9:38And Mikloth begate Shimeam: they also dwelt with their brethren at Ierusalem, euen by their brethren.
9:39And Ner begate Kish, and Kish begate Saul, and Saul begate Ionathan and Malchishua, and Abinadab and Eshbaal.
9:40And the sonne of Ionathan was Merib-baal: and Merib-baal begate Micah.
9:41And the sonnes of Micah were Pithon, and Melech and Tahrea.
9:42And Ahaz begate Iarah, and Iarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaueth, and Zimri, and Zimri begate Moza.
9:43And Moza begate Binea, whose sonne was Rephaiah, and his sonne was Eleasah, and his sonne Azel.
9:44And Azel had sixe sonnes, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ismael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these are the sonnes of Azel.
