Nehemiah - Chapter: 11


11:1	And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.
11:2	And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.
11:3	Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants.
11:4	And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez;
11:5	And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni.
11:6	All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.
11:7	And these are the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah.
11:8	And after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight.
11:9	And Joel the son of Zichri was their overseer: and Judah the son of Senuah was second over the city.
11:10	Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin.
11:11	Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, was the ruler of the house of God.
11:12	And their brethren that did the work of the house were eight hundred twenty and two: and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah,
11:13	And his brethren, chief of the fathers, two hundred forty and two: and Amashai the son of Azareel, the son of Ahasai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,
11:14	And their brethren, mighty men of valour, an hundred twenty and eight: and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one of the great men.
11:15	Also of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hashub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;
11:16	And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God.
11:17	And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
11:18	All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four.
11:19	Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundred seventy and two.
11:20	And the residue of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.
11:21	But the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims.
11:22	The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God.
11:23	For it was the king's commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day.
11:24	And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king's hand in all matters concerning the people.
11:25	And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjatharba, and in the villages thereof, and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof,
11:26	And at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at Bethphelet,
11:27	And at Hazarshual, and at Beersheba, and in the villages thereof,
11:28	And at Ziklag, and at Mekonah, and in the villages thereof,
11:29	And at Enrimmon, and at Zareah, and at Jarmuth,
11:30	Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, at Lachish, and the fields thereof, at Azekah, and in the villages thereof. And they dwelt from Beersheba unto the valley of Hinnom.
11:31	The children also of Benjamin from Geba dwelt at Michmash, and Aija, and Bethel, and in their villages,
11:32	And at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
11:33	Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
11:34	Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
11:35	Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.
11:36	And of the Levites were divisions in Judah, and in Benjamin.


11:1	וישׁבו שׂרי העם בירושׁלם ושׁאר העם הפילו גורלות להביא אחד מן העשׂרה לשׁבת בירושׁלם עיר הקדשׁ ותשׁע הידות בערים׃
11:2	ויברכו העם לכל האנשׁים המתנדבים לשׁבת בירושׁלם׃
11:3	ואלה ראשׁי המדינה אשׁר ישׁבו בירושׁלם ובערי יהודה ישׁבו אישׁ באחזתו בעריהם ישׂראל הכהנים והלוים והנתינים ובני עבדי שׁלמה׃
11:4	ובירושׁלם ישׁבו מבני יהודה ומבני בנימן מבני יהודה עתיה בן עזיה בן זכריה בן אמריה בן שׁפטיה בן מהללאל מבני פרץ׃
11:5	ומעשׂיה בן ברוך בן כל חזה בן חזיה בן עדיה בן יויריב בן זכריה בן השׁלני׃
11:6	כל בני פרץ הישׁבים בירושׁלם ארבע מאות שׁשׁים ושׁמנה אנשׁי חיל׃
11:7	ואלה בני בנימן סלא בן משׁלם בן יועד בן פדיה בן קוליה בן מעשׂיה בן איתיאל בן ישׁעיה׃
11:8	ואחריו גבי סלי תשׁע מאות עשׂרים ושׁמנה׃
11:9	ויואל בן זכרי פקיד עליהם ויהודה בן הסנואה על העיר משׁנה׃
11:10	מן הכהנים ידעיה בן יויריב יכין׃
11:11	שׂריה בן חלקיה בן משׁלם בן צדוק בן מריות בן אחיטוב נגד בית האלהים׃
11:12	ואחיהם עשׂי המלאכה לבית שׁמנה מאות עשׂרים ושׁנים ועדיה בן ירחם בן פלליה בן אמצי בן זכריה בן פשׁחור בן מלכיה׃
11:13	ואחיו ראשׁים לאבות מאתים ארבעים ושׁנים ועמשׁסי בן עזראל בן אחזי בן משׁלמות בן אמר׃
11:14	ואחיהם גבורי חיל מאה עשׂרים ושׁמנה ופקיד עליהם זבדיאל בן הגדולים׃
11:15	ומן הלוים שׁמעיה בן חשׁוב בן עזריקם בן חשׁביה בן בוני׃
11:16	ושׁבתי ויוזבד על המלאכה החיצנה לבית האלהים מראשׁי הלוים׃
11:17	ומתניה בן מיכה בן זבדי בן אסף ראשׁ התחלה יהודה לתפלה ובקבקיה משׁנה מאחיו ועבדא בן שׁמוע בן גלל בן ידיתון׃
11:18	כל הלוים בעיר הקדשׁ מאתים שׁמנים וארבעה׃
11:19	והשׁוערים עקוב טלמון ואחיהם השׁמרים בשׁערים מאה שׁבעים ושׁנים׃
11:20	ושׁאר ישׂראל הכהנים הלוים בכל ערי יהודה אישׁ בנחלתו׃
11:21	והנתינים ישׁבים בעפל וציחא וגשׁפא על הנתינים׃
11:22	ופקיד הלוים בירושׁלם עזי בן בני בן חשׁביה בן מתניה בן מיכא מבני אסף המשׁררים לנגד מלאכת בית האלהים׃
11:23	כי מצות המלך עליהם ואמנה על המשׁררים דבר יום ביומו׃
11:24	ופתחיה בן משׁיזבאל מבני זרח בן יהודה ליד המלך לכל דבר לעם׃
11:25	ואל החצרים בשׂדתם מבני יהודה ישׁבו בקרית הארבע ובנתיה ובדיבן ובנתיה וביקבצאל וחצריה׃
11:26	ובישׁוע ובמולדה ובבית פלט׃
11:27	ובחצר שׁועל ובבאר שׁבע ובנתיה׃
11:28	ובצקלג ובמכנה ובבנתיה׃
11:29	ובעין רמון ובצרעה ובירמות׃
11:30	זנח עדלם וחצריהם לכישׁ ושׂדתיה עזקה ובנתיה ויחנו מבאר שׁבע עד גיא הנם׃
11:31	ובני בנימן מגבע מכמשׂ ועיה ובית אל ובנתיה׃
11:32	ענתות נב ענניה׃
11:33	חצור רמה גתים׃
11:34	חדיד צבעים נבלט׃
11:35	לד ואונו גי החרשׁים׃
11:36	ומן הלוים מחלקות יהודה לבנימין׃


11:1	And the heads of the people dwell in Jerusalem, and the rest of the people have caused to fall lots to bring in one out of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the cities,
11:2	and the people give a blessing to all the men who are offering themselves willingly to dwell in Jerusalem.
11:3	And these `are' heads of the province who have dwelt in Jerusalem, and in cities of Judah, they have dwelt each in his possession in their cities; Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinim, and the sons of the servants of Solomon.
11:4	And in Jerusalem have dwelt of the sons of Judah, and of the sons of Benjamin. Of the sons of Judah: Athaiah son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son of Mahalaleel, of the sons of Perez;
11:5	and Masseiah son of Baruch, son of Col-Hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, son of Shiloni;
11:6	all the sons of Perez who are dwelling in Jerusalem `are' four hundred sixty and eight, men of valour.
11:7	And these `are' sons of Benjamin: Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jesaiah;
11:8	and after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight.
11:9	And Joel son of Zichri `is' inspector over them, and Judah son of Senuah `is' over the city -- second.
11:10	Of the priests: Jedaiah son of Joiarib, Jachin,
11:11	Seraiah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, leader of the house of God,
11:12	and their brethren doing the work of the house `are' eight hundred twenty and two; and Adaiah son of Jeroham, son of Pelaliah, son of Amzi, son of Zechariah, son of Pashhur, son of Malchiah,
11:13	and his brethren, heads of fathers, two hundred forty and two; and Amashsai son of Azareel, son of Ahazai, son of Meshillemoth, son of Immer,
11:14	and their brethren, mighty of valour, a hundred twenty and eight; and an inspector over them `is' Zabdiel, son of `one of' the great men.
11:15	And of the Levites: Shemaiah son of Hashub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, son of Bunni,
11:16	and Shabbethai, and Jozabad, `are' over the outward work of the house of God, of the heads of the Levites,
11:17	and Mattaniah son of Micha, son of Zabdi, son of Asaph, `is' head -- at the commencement he giveth thanks in prayer; and Bakbukiah `is' second among his brethren, and Abda son of Shammua, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun.
11:18	All the Levites, in the holy city, `are' two hundred eighty and four.
11:19	And the gatekeepers, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren, those watching at the gates, `are' a hundred seventy and two.
11:20	And the rest of Israel, of the priests, of the Levites, `are' in all cities of Judah, each in his inheritance;
11:21	and the Nethinim are dwelling in Ophel, and Ziha and Gishpa `are' over the Nethinim.
11:22	And the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem `is' Uzzi son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Micha: of the sons of Asaph, the singers `are' over-against the work of the house of God,
11:23	for the command of the king `is' upon them, and support `is' for the singers, a matter of a day in its day.
11:24	And Pethahiah son of Meshezabeel, of the sons of Zerah, son of Judah, `is' by the hand of the king, for every matter of the people.
11:25	And at the villages with their fields, of the sons of Judah there have dwelt, in Kirjath-Arba and its small towns, and in Dibon and its small towns, and in Jekabzeel and its villages,
11:26	and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and in Beth-Phelet,
11:27	and in Hazar-Shaul, and in Beer-Sheba and its small towns,
11:28	and in Ziklag, and in Mekonah and in its small towns,
11:29	and En-Rimmon, and in Zareah, and in Jarmuth,
11:30	Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, Azekah and its small towns; and they encamp from Beer-Sheba unto the valley of Hinnom.
11:31	And sons of Benjamin `are' at Geba, Michmash, and Aija, and Beth-El, and its small towns,
11:32	Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
11:33	Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
11:34	Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
11:35	Lod, and Ono, the valley of the artificers.
11:36	And of the Levites, the courses of Judah `are' for Benjamin.
