12:1	Now these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,
12:2	Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,
12:3	Shechaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,
12:4	Iddo, Ginnetho, Abijah,
12:5	Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
12:6	Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,
12:7	Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chief of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.
12:8	Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, which was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.
12:9	Also Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them in the watches.
12:10	And Jeshua begat Joiakim, Joiakim also begat Eliashib, and Eliashib begat Joiada,
12:11	And Joiada begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua.
12:12	And in the days of Joiakim were priests, the chief of the fathers: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
12:13	Of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;
12:14	Of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;
12:15	Of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;
12:16	Of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;
12:17	Of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;
12:18	Of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;
12:19	And of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;
12:20	Of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;
12:21	Of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethaneel.
12:22	The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded chief of the fathers: also the priests, to the reign of Darius the Persian.
12:23	The sons of Levi, the chief of the fathers, were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.
12:24	And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.
12:25	Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.
12:26	These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
12:27	And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
12:28	And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi;
12:29	Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.
12:30	And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
12:31	Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:
12:32	And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,
12:33	And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
12:34	Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,
12:35	And certain of the priests' sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph:
12:36	And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.
12:37	And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
12:38	And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;
12:39	And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.
12:40	So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:
12:41	And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
12:42	And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
12:43	Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
12:44	And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.
12:45	And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
12:46	For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
12:47	And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron.


12:1	ואלה הכהנים והלוים אשׁר עלו עם זרבבל בן שׁאלתיאל וישׁוע שׂריה ירמיה עזרא׃
12:2	אמריה מלוך חטושׁ׃
12:3	שׁכניה רחם מרמת׃
12:4	עדוא גנתוי אביה׃
12:5	מימין מעדיה בלגה׃
12:6	שׁמעיה ויויריב ידעיה׃
12:7	סלו עמוק חלקיה ידעיה אלה ראשׁי הכהנים ואחיהם בימי ישׁוע׃
12:8	והלוים ישׁוע בנוי קדמיאל שׁרביה יהודה מתניה על הידות הוא ואחיו׃
12:9	ובקבקיה וענו אחיהם לנגדם למשׁמרות׃
12:10	וישׁוע הוליד את יויקים ויויקים הוליד את אלישׁיב ואלישׁיב את יוידע׃
12:11	ויוידע הוליד את יונתן ויונתן הוליד את ידוע׃
12:12	ובימי יויקים היו כהנים ראשׁי האבות לשׂריה מריה לירמיה חנניה׃
12:13	לעזרא משׁלם לאמריה יהוחנן׃
12:14	למלוכי יונתן לשׁבניה יוסף׃
12:15	לחרם עדנא למריות חלקי׃
12:16	לעדיא זכריה לגנתון משׁלם׃
12:17	לאביה זכרי למנימין למועדיה פלטי׃
12:18	לבלגה שׁמוע לשׁמעיה יהונתן׃
12:19	וליויריב מתני לידעיה עזי׃
12:20	לסלי קלי לעמוק עבר׃

12:22	הלוים בימי אלישׁיב יוידע ויוחנן וידוע כתובים ראשׁי אבות והכהנים על מלכות דריושׁ הפרסי׃
12:23	בני לוי ראשׁי האבות כתובים על ספר דברי הימים ועד ימי יוחנן בן אלישׁיב׃
12:24	וראשׁי הלוים חשׁביה שׁרביה וישׁוע בן קדמיאל ואחיהם לנגדם להלל להודות במצות דויד אישׁ האלהים משׁמר לעמת משׁמר׃
12:25	מתניה ובקבקיה עבדיה משׁלם טלמון עקוב שׁמרים שׁוערים משׁמר באספי השׁערים׃
12:26	אלה בימי יויקים בן ישׁוע בן יוצדק ובימי נחמיה הפחה ועזרא הכהן הסופר׃
12:27	ובחנכת חומת ירושׁלם בקשׁו את הלוים מכל מקומתם להביאם לירושׁלם לעשׂת חנכה ושׂמחה ובתודות ובשׁיר מצלתים נבלים ובכנרות׃
12:28	ויאספו בני המשׁררים ומן הככר סביבות ירושׁלם ומן חצרי נטפתי׃
12:29	ומבית הגלגל ומשׂדות גבע ועזמות כי חצרים בנו להם המשׁררים סביבות ירושׁלם׃
12:30	ויטהרו הכהנים והלוים ויטהרו את העם ואת השׁערים ואת החומה׃
12:31	ואעלה את שׂרי יהודה מעל לחומה ואעמידה שׁתי תודת גדולת ותהלכת לימין מעל לחומה לשׁער האשׁפת׃
12:32	וילך אחריהם הושׁעיה וחצי שׂרי יהודה׃
12:33	ועזריה עזרא ומשׁלם׃
12:34	יהודה ובנימן ושׁמעיה וירמיה׃
12:35	ומבני הכהנים בחצצרות זכריה בן יונתן בן שׁמעיה בן מתניה בן מיכיה בן זכור בן אסף׃
12:36	ואחיו שׁמעיה ועזראל מללי גללי מעי נתנאל ויהודה חנני בכלי שׁיר דויד אישׁ האלהים ועזרא הסופר לפניהם׃
12:37	ועל שׁער העין ונגדם עלו על מעלות עיר דויד במעלה לחומה מעל לבית דויד ועד שׁער המים מזרח׃
12:38	והתודה השׁנית ההולכת למואל ואני אחריה וחצי העם מעל להחומה מעל למגדל התנורים ועד החומה הרחבה׃
12:39	ומעל לשׁער אפרים ועל שׁער הישׁנה ועל שׁער הדגים ומגדל חננאל ומגדל המאה ועד שׁער הצאן ועמדו בשׁער המטרה׃
12:40	ותעמדנה שׁתי התודת בבית האלהים ואני וחצי הסגנים עמי׃
12:41	והכהנים אליקים מעשׂיה מנימין מיכיה אליועיני זכריה חנניה בחצצרות׃
12:42	ומעשׂיה ושׁמעיה ואלעזר ועזי ויהוחנן ומלכיה ועילם ועזר וישׁמיעו המשׁררים ויזרחיה הפקיד׃
12:43	ויזבחו ביום ההוא זבחים גדולים וישׂמחו כי האלהים שׂמחם שׂמחה גדולה וגם הנשׁים והילדים שׂמחו ותשׁמע שׂמחת ירושׁלם מרחוק׃
12:44	ויפקדו ביום ההוא אנשׁים על הנשׁכות לאוצרות לתרומות לראשׁית ולמעשׂרות לכנוס בהם לשׂדי הערים מנאות התורה לכהנים וללוים כי שׂמחת יהודה על הכהנים ועל הלוים העמדים׃
12:45	וישׁמרו משׁמרת אלהיהם ומשׁמרת הטהרה והמשׁררים והשׁערים כמצות דויד שׁלמה בנו׃
12:46	כי בימי דויד ואסף מקדם ראשׁ המשׁררים ושׁיר תהלה והדות לאלהים׃
12:47	וכל ישׂראל בימי זרבבל ובימי נחמיה נתנים מניות המשׁררים והשׁערים דבר יום ביומו ומקדשׁים ללוים והלוים מקדשׁים לבני אהרן׃


12:1	And these `are' the priests and the Levites who came up with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua; Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,
12:2	Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,
12:3	Shechaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,
12:4	Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah,
12:5	Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
12:6	Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,
12:7	Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah; these `are' heads of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.
12:8	And the Levites `are' Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, Mattaniah, he `is' over the thanksgiving, and his brethren,
12:9	and Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, `are' over-against them in charges.
12:10	And Jeshua hath begotten Joiakim, and Joiakim hath begotten Eliashib, and Eliashib hath begotten Joiada,
12:11	and Joiada hath begotten Jonathan, and Jonathan hath begotten Jaddua.
12:12	And in the days of Joiakim have been priests, heads of the fathers; of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
12:13	of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;
12:14	of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

12:24	and heads of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, and their brethren, `are' over-against them, to give praise, to give thanks, by command of David the man of God, charge over-against charge.
12:25	Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, `are' gatekeepers, keeping charge in the gatherings of the gates.
12:26	These `are' in the days of Joiakim son of Jeshua, son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
12:27	And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them in to Jerusalem, to make the dedication even with gladness, and with thanksgivings, and with singing, `with' cymbals, psalteries, and with harps;
12:28	and sons of the singers are gathered together even from the circuit round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi,
12:29	and from the house of Gilgal, and from fields of Geba and Azmaveth, for villages have the singers built for themselves round about Jerusalem;
12:30	and the priests and the Levites are cleansed, and they cleanse the people, and the gates, and the wall.
12:31	And I bring up the heads of Judah upon the wall, and appoint two great thanksgiving companies and processions. At the right, on the wall, to the dung-gate;
12:32	and after them goeth Hoshaiah, and half of the heads of Judah,
12:33	and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
12:34	Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah;
12:35	and of the sons of the priests with trumpets, Zechariah son of Jonathan, son of Shemaiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Michaiah, son of Zaccur, son of Asaph,
12:36	and his brethren Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with instruments of song of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe `is' before them;
12:37	and by the gate of the fountain and over-against them, they have gone up by the steps of the city of David, at the going up of the wall beyond the house of David, and unto the water-gate eastward.
12:38	And the second thanksgiving company that is going over-against, and I after it, and half of the people on the wall from beyond the tower of the furnaces and unto the broad wall,
12:39	and from beyond the gate of Ephraim, and by the old-gate, and by the fish-gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, and unto the sheep-gate -- and they have stood at the prison-gate.
12:40	And the two thanksgiving companies stand in the house of God, and I and half of the prefects with me,
12:41	and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets,
12:42	and Masseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer, and the singers sound, and Jezrahiah the inspector;
12:43	and they sacrifice on that day great sacrifices and rejoice, for God hath made them rejoice `with' great joy, and also, the women and the children have rejoiced, and the joy of Jerusalem is heard -- unto a distance.
12:44	And certain are appointed on that day over the chambers for treasures, for heave-offerings, for first-fruits, and for tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for priests, and for Levites, for the joy of Judah `is' over the priests, and over the Levites, who are standing up.
12:45	And the singers and the gatekeepers keep the charge of their God, even the charge of the cleansing -- according to the command of David `and' Solomon his son,
12:46	for in the days of David and Asaph of old `were' heads of the singers, and a song of praise and thanksgiving to God.
12:47	And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, are giving the portions of the singers, and of the gatekeepers, the matter of a day in its day, and are sanctifying to the Levites, and the Levites are sanctifying to the sons of Aaron.
