| 6:2 | they happened on the place where it was wrytten, how Mardocheus had told that Bigthana and Theres the kynges two chamberlaynes (which kept the thresholdes) sought, to laye handes on kyng Ahasuerus. |
| 6:3 | And the kyng sayd: what worshyppe & good haue we done to Mardocheus therfore? Then sayde the kynges seruauntes that mynistred vnto hym: There is nothynge at all done for hym. |
| 6:4 | And the kyng sayde: Who is in the courte? (for Haman was gone into the court wythout before the kinges house, that he myght speake vnto the kynge to hange Mardocheus on the tre, that he had prepared for hym.) |
| 6:5 | And the kynges seruauntes sayde vnto hym: beholde, Haman standeth without in the court. And the kyng sayd: let him come in. |
| 6:6 | And when Haman came in, the kyng sayd vnto hym: what shall be done vnto the man, whom the the kynge volde fayne brynge vnto worshippe? Haman thought in his hert: Whom desyreth the kyng to bryng vnto worshippe more then me? |
| 6:7 | And Haman answered the kyng Let the man whom the kyng pleaseth to bring vnto worshippe, be brought hyther, |
| 6:8 | that he maye be arayed with the royall garmentes which the kyng vseth to weare: & the horse that the kyng rydeth vpon, and that the crowne royall maye be set vpon his heed. |
| 6:9 | And let this rayment and horse be delyuered vnder the hand of one of the kynges princes, that they maye araye the man withall (whom the kyng is disposed to bryng to honoure) & cary hym vpon the horse thorow the strete of the cytie, and proclayme before him: thus shalt it be done to the man, whom the kynge pleaseth to bryng to honoure. |
| 6:10 | And the kyng sayde: make hast, and take as thou hast sayde, the rayment & the horse: and do euen so vnto Mardocheus the Iewe, that sytteth before the kynges gate, & let nothing fayle of all that thou hast spoken. |
| 6:11 | Then toke Haman the rayment & the horse, and arayed Mardocheus, and brought him on horsbacke thorow the strete of the cytie, and proclaymed before him: Euen thus shall it be done vnto the man whom the kyng is disposed to honoure. |
| 6:12 | And Mardocheus came agayne to the kynges gate, but Haman gat hym home in all the hast mournynge bare headed, |
| 6:13 | and tolde Zares his wyfe and all hys frendes, euery thing that had happened him. Then sayd his wyse men and Zares his wyfe vnto him: It yf be Mardocheus, of the sede of the Iewes, before whom thou hast begonne to fall, thou shalt not preuayle agaynst hym, but shalt surely fall before him. |
| 6:14 | And whyle they were yet talkyng with him, came the kynges chamberlaynes, & caused Haman to make hast, to come vnto the bancket that Esther had prepared. |

| 6:2 | me cam to the place, where it was writun, hou Mardochee hadde teld the tresouns of Gabathan and Thares, oneste seruauntis, couetynge to strangle kyng Assuerus. |
| 6:3 | And whanne the kyng hadde herd this, he seide, What onour and meede gat Mardochee for this feithfulnesse? And hise seruauntis and mynystris seiden to hym, Outirli he took no meede. |
| 6:4 | And anoon the kyng seide, Who is in the halle? Sotheli Aaman hadde entrid in to the ynnere halle of the kyngis hows, to make suggestioun to the kyng, that he schulde comaunde Mardochee to be hangid on the iebat, which was maad redi to him. |
| 6:5 | And the children answeriden, Aaman stondith in the halle. |
| 6:6 | And the kyng seide, Entre he. And whanne he was comun yn, the kyng seide to hym, What owith to be don to the man, whom the kyng desirith onoure? Aaman thouyte in his herte, and gesside, that the kyng wolde onoure noon othere man no but hym silf; |
| 6:7 | and he answeride, The man, whom the kyng couetith to onoure, |
| 6:8 | owith to be clothid with the kyngis clothis, and to be set on the hors which is of the kyngis sadel, and to take the kyngis diademe on his heed; |
| 6:9 | and the firste of the princes and stronge men of the kyng holde his hors, and go bi the stretis of the citee, and crie, and seie, Thus he schal be onourid, whom euer the kyng wole onoure. |
| 6:10 | Therfor the kyng seide to hym, Haste thou, and whanne `a stoole and hors is takun, do thou, as thou hast spoke, to Mardochee the Jew, that sittith bifor the yatis of the paleis; be thou war, that thou leeue not out ony thing of these, whiche thou hast spoke. |
| 6:11 | Therfor Aaman took `a stoole and hors, and yede, and criede bifor Mardochee clothid in the strete of the citee, and set on `the hors, He is worthi this onour, whom euer the kyng wole onoure. |
| 6:12 | And Mardochee turnede ayen to the yate of the paleis, and Aaman hastide to go in to his hows, morenynge, and with the heed hilid. |
| 6:13 | And he teld to Zares, his wijf, and to frendis alle thingis that hadden bifelde to hym. To whom the wise men, whiche he hadde in counsel, and his wijf, answeriden, If Mardochee, bifor whom thou hast bigunne to falle, is of the seed of Jewis, thou schalt not mowe ayenstonde hym, but thou schalt falle in his siyt. |
| 6:14 | Yit while thei spaken, the oneste seruauntis and chast of the kyng camen, and compelliden hym to go soone to the feeste, which the queen hadde maad redi. |

| 6:5 | And the kinges seruauntes saide vnto him: Beholde, Ama stodeth in the courte. The kynge saide: Let him come in. |
| 6:6 | And wha Ama came in, ye kinge saide vnto him: What shal be done vnto ye ma, whom the kynge wolde fayne brynge vnto worshippe? But Hama thought in his hert: Whom shulde the kynge els be glad to brynge vnto worshippe, but me? |
| 6:7 | And Aman sayde vnto the kynge: Let the man vnto whom the kynge wolde be glad to do worshippe, be broughte hither, |
| 6:8 | that he maye be araied with the royall garmentes which the kynge vseth to weere: and the horse that the kynge rydeth vpon, and that the crowne royall maye be set vpon his heade. |

| 6:10 | The kynge sayde: Make haist, and take (as thou hast sayde) the raymet and the horse, and do euen so with Mardocheus ye Iewe that sitteth before the kynges gate, and let nothinge fayle of all that thou hast spoken. |
| 6:11 | Then toke Aman the rayment and the horse, and arayed him, and broughte him on hor?backe thorow the strete of the cite, and proclamed before him: Euen thus shall it be done vnto euery man whom the kynge is disposed to honoure. |
| 6:12 | And Mardocheus came agayne to the kynges gate, but Aman gat him home in all the haist, mournynge with bare heade, |
| 6:13 | and tolde Seres his wyfe and all his frendes, euery thynge that had happened him. Then sayde his wise men and Seres his wyfe vnto him: Yf it be Mardocheus of the sede of the Iewes, before who thou hast begonne to fall, thou canst do nothynge vnto him, but shalt fall before him. |
| 6:14 | Whyle they were yet talkynge with him, came the kynges chamberlaynes, and caused Aman to make haist to come vnto the bancket that Hester had prepared. |
