16:1	Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
16:2	O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
16:3	But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
16:4	Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
16:5	The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
16:6	The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
16:7	I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
16:8	I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
16:9	Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
16:10	For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
16:11	Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.


16:1	מכתם לדוד שׁמרני אל כי חסיתי׃
16:2	אמרת ליהוה אדני אתה טובתי בל עליך׃
16:3	לקדושׁים אשׁר בארץ המה ואדירי כל חפצי׃
16:4	ירבו עצבותם אחר מהרו בל אסיך נסכיהם מדם ובל אשׂא את שׁמותם על שׂפתי׃
16:5	יהוה מנת חלקי וכוסי אתה תומיך גורלי׃
16:6	חבלים נפלו לי בנעמים אף נחלת שׁפרה עלי׃
16:7	אברך את יהוה אשׁר יעצני אף לילות יסרוני כליותי׃
16:8	שׁויתי יהוה לנגדי תמיד כי מימיני בל אמוט׃
16:9	לכן שׂמח לבי ויגל כבודי אף בשׂרי ישׁכן לבטח׃
16:10	כי לא תעזב נפשׁי לשׁאול לא תתן חסידך לראות שׁחת׃
16:11	תודיעני ארח חיים שׂבע שׂמחות את פניך נעמות בימינך נצח׃


16:1	A Secret Treasure of David. Preserve me, O God, for I did trust in Thee.
16:2	Thou hast said to Jehovah, `My Lord Thou `art';' My good `is' not for thine own sake;
16:3	For the holy ones who `are' in the land, And the honourable, all my delight `is' in them.
16:4	Multiplied are their griefs, `Who' have hastened backward; I pour not out their libations of blood, Nor do I take up their names on my lips.
16:5	Jehovah `is' the portion of my share, and of my cup, Thou -- Thou dost uphold my lot.
16:6	Lines have fallen to me in pleasant places, Yea, a beauteous inheritance `is' for me.
16:7	I bless Jehovah who hath counselled me; Also `in' the nights my reins instruct me.
16:8	I did place Jehovah before me continually, Because -- at my right hand I am not moved.
16:9	Therefore hath my heart been glad, And my honour doth rejoice, Also my flesh dwelleth confidently:
16:10	For Thou dost not leave my soul to Sheol, Nor givest thy saintly one to see corruption.
16:11	Thou causest me to know the path of life; Fulness of joys `is' with Thy presence, Pleasant things by Thy right hand for ever!
