Psalms - Chapter: 21

>
21:1[To the chiefe Musician. A Psalme of Dauid.] The King shall ioy in thy strength, O Lord: and in thy saluation how greatly shall he reioyce?
21:2Thou hast giuen him his hearts desire; and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
21:3For thou preuentest him with the blessings of goodnesse: thou settest a Crowne of pure gold on his head.
21:4He asked life of thee, and thou gauest it him, euen length of dayes for euer and euer.
21:5His glory is great in thy saluation: honour and Maiestie hast thou layde vpon him.
21:6For thou hast made him most blessed for euer: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
21:7For the King trusteth in the Lord, and through the mercy of the most High, he shall not be moued.
21:8Thine hand shall finde out all thine enemies, thy right hand shal finde out those that hate thee.
21:9Thou shalt make them as a fiery ouen in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them vp in his wrath, and the fire shall deuoure them.
21:10Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
21:11For they intended euill against thee: they imagined a mischieuous deuice, which they are not able to performe.
21:12Therefore shalt thou make them turne their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrowes vpon thy strings, against the face of them.
21:13Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine owne strength: so will wee sing, aud praise thy power.

21:3For thou diddest preuent him with liberall blessings, and didest set a crowne of pure gold vpon his head.
21:4He asked life of thee, and thou gauest him a long life for euer and euer.
21:5His glory is great in thy saluation: dignitie and honour hast thou laid vpon him.
21:6For thou hast set him as blessings for euer: thou hast made him glad with the ioy of thy countenance.
21:7Because the King trusteth in the Lord, and in the mercie of the most High, he shall not slide.
21:8Thine hand shall finde out all thine enemies, and thy right hand shall finde out them that hate thee.
21:9Thou shalt make them like a fierie ouen in time of thine anger: the Lord shall destroy them in his wrath, and the fire shall deuoure them.
21:10Their fruite shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seede from the children of men.
21:11For they intended euill against thee, and imagined mischiefe, but they shall not preuaile.
21:12Therefore shalt thou put them aparte, and the strings of thy bowe shalt thou make readie against their faces.
21:13Be thou exalted, O Lord, in thy strength: so will we sing and prayse thy power.

21:2Thou hast geuen hym his hertes desyre, and hast not denyed him the request of hys lyppes. Sela.
21:3For thou shalt preuente him with the blessynges of goodnes, and shalt set a crowne of pure golde vpon his head.
21:4He asked lyfe of the, and thou gauest him a longe lyfe, euen for euer and euer.
21:5Hys honoure is greate in thy saluacion: glory and greate worshyppe shalt thou laye vpon hym.
21:6For thou shalt geue hym euerlastynge felycite, & make hym glad with the ioye of thy countenaunce.
21:7And why? because the kynge putteth hys trust in the Lorde, and in the mercy of the most hyest he shall not my searye.
21:8All thyne enemies shall fele thy hand: thy ryght hand shall fynde out them that hate the.
21:9Thou shalt make them lyke a fyrye ouen in tyme of thy wrath: the Lorde shall destroye them in hys displeasure, and the fyre shall consume them.
21:10Their frute shalt thou roote out of the earth, and theyr sede from amonge the chyldren of men.
21:11For they intended myschefe agaynst the, and ymagined soch a deuyce, as they are not able to perfourme.
21:12Therfore shalt thou put them to flyght, and the strynges of thy bowe shalt thou make ready agaynst the faces of them:
21:13Be thou exalted, Lorde, in thyne awne strength: so wyll we synge and prayse thy power.
