21:1To the chaunter, a Psalme of Dauid. The kynge shall reioyce in thy strength, O Lorde, exceadynge glad shall he be of thy saluacion.
21:2Thou hast geuen hym his hertes desyre, and hast not denyed him the request of hys lyppes. Sela.
21:3For thou shalt preuente him with the blessynges of goodnes, and shalt set a crowne of pure golde vpon his head.
21:4He asked lyfe of the, and thou gauest him a longe lyfe, euen for euer and euer.
21:5Hys honoure is greate in thy saluacion: glory and greate worshyppe shalt thou laye vpon hym.
21:6For thou shalt geue hym euerlastynge felycite, & make hym glad with the ioye of thy countenaunce.
21:7And why? because the kynge putteth hys trust in the Lorde, and in the mercy of the most hyest he shall not my searye.
21:8All thyne enemies shall fele thy hand: thy ryght hand shall fynde out them that hate the.
21:9Thou shalt make them lyke a fyrye ouen in tyme of thy wrath: the Lorde shall destroye them in hys displeasure, and the fyre shall consume them.
21:10Their frute shalt thou roote out of the earth, and theyr sede from amonge the chyldren of men.
21:11For they intended myschefe agaynst the, and ymagined soch a deuyce, as they are not able to perfourme.
21:12Therfore shalt thou put them to flyght, and the strynges of thy bowe shalt thou make ready agaynst the faces of them:
21:13Be thou exalted, Lorde, in thyne awne strength: so wyll we synge and prayse thy power.

21:2God, my God, biholde thou on me, whi hast thou forsake me? the wordis of my trespassis ben fer fro myn helthe.
21:3Mi God, Y schal crye bi dai, and thou schalt not here; and bi nyyt, and not to vnwisdom to me.
21:4Forsothe thou, the preisyng of Israel, dwellist in holynesse;
21:5oure fadris hopiden in thee, thei hopiden, and thou delyueridist hem.
21:6Thei crieden to thee, and thei weren maad saaf; thei hopiden in thee, and thei weren not schent.
21:7But Y am a worm, and not man; the schenschip of men, and the outcastyng of the puple.
21:8Alle men seynge me scorneden me; thei spaken with lippis, and stiriden the heed.
21:9He hopide in the Lord, delyuere he hym; make he hym saaf, for he wole hym.
21:10For thou it art that drowist me out of the wombe, thou art myn hope fro the tetis of my modir;
21:11in to thee Y am cast forth fro the wombe. Fro the wombe of my modir thou art my God; departe thou not fro me.
21:12For tribulacioun is next; for noon is that helpith.

21:7And why? because the kinge putteth his trust in the LORDE, & in the mercy of the most hiest he shal not myscary.
21:8Let all thine enemies fele thy honde, let thy right honde fynde out all the yt hate the.
21:9Thou shalt make the like a fyre ouen in tyme of thy wrath: the LORDE shal destroye the in his displeasure, & the fyre shall consume them.
21:10Their frute shalt thou rote out of the earth, & their sede fro amoge the childre of men.
21:11For they inteded myschefe agaynst the, & ymagined soch deuyces, as they were not able to perfourme.
21:12Therfore shalt thou put the to flight, & with thy stringes thou shalt make ready thine arowes agaynst the faces off them.
21:13Be thou exalted (LORDE) in thine owne strength, so wil we synge and prayse thy power.
