48:1	Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.
48:2	Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
48:3	God is known in her palaces for a refuge.
48:4	For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.
48:5	They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.
48:6	Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.
48:7	Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.
48:8	As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.
48:9	We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
48:10	According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.
48:11	Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
48:12	Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.
48:13	Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.
48:14	For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.


48:1	שׁיר מזמור לבני קרח׃ (48:2) גדול יהוה ומהלל מאד בעיר אלהינו הר קדשׁו׃
48:2	(48:3) יפה נוף משׂושׂ כל הארץ הר ציון ירכתי צפון קרית מלך רב׃
48:3	(48:4) אלהים בארמנותיה נודע למשׂגב׃
48:4	(48:5) כי הנה המלכים נועדו עברו יחדו׃
48:5	(48:6) המה ראו כן תמהו נבהלו נחפזו׃
48:6	(48:7) רעדה אחזתם שׁם חיל כיולדה׃
48:7	(48:8) ברוח קדים תשׁבר אניות תרשׁישׁ׃
48:8	(48:9) כאשׁר שׁמענו כן ראינו בעיר יהוה צבאות בעיר אלהינו אלהים יכוננה עד עולם סלה׃
48:9	(48:10) דמינו אלהים חסדך בקרב היכלך׃
48:10	(48:11) כשׁמך אלהים כן תהלתך על קצוי ארץ צדק מלאה ימינך׃
48:11	(48:12) ישׂמח הר ציון תגלנה בנות יהודה למען משׁפטיך׃
48:12	(48:13) סבו ציון והקיפוה ספרו מגדליה׃
48:13	(48:14) שׁיתו לבכם לחילה פסגו ארמנותיה למען תספרו לדור אחרון׃
48:14	(48:15) כי זה אלהים אלהינו עולם ועד הוא ינהגנו על מות׃


48:1	A Song, a Psalm, by sons of Korah. Great `is' Jehovah, and praised greatly, In the city of our God -- His holy hill.
48:2	Beautiful `for' elevation, A joy of all the land, `is' Mount Zion, The sides of the north, the city of a great king.
48:3	God in her high places is known for a tower.
48:4	For, lo, the kings met, they passed by together,
48:5	They have seen -- so they have marvelled, They have been troubled, they were hastened away.
48:6	Trembling hath seized them there, Pain, as of a travailing woman.
48:7	By an east wind Thou shiverest ships of Tarshish.
48:8	As we have heard, so we have seen, In the city of Jehovah of hosts, In the city of our God, God doth establish her -- to the age. Selah.
48:9	We have thought, O God, of Thy kindness, In the midst of Thy temple,
48:10	As `is' Thy name, O God, so `is' Thy praise, Over the ends of the earth, Righteousness hath filled Thy right hand.
48:11	Rejoice doth Mount Zion, The daughters of Judah are joyful, For the sake of Thy judgments.
48:12	Compass Zion, and go round her, count her towers,
48:13	Set your heart to her bulwark, Consider her high places, So that ye recount to a later generation,
48:14	That this God `is' our God -- To the age and for ever, He -- he doth lead us over death!
