Psalms - Chapter: 51

>
51:1[To the chiefe Musician. A Psalme of Dauid, when Nathan the Prophet came vnto him, after hee had gone in to Bath-sheba.] Haue mercie vpon mee, O God, according to thy louing kindnesse: according vnto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
51:2Wash mee throughly from mine iniquitie, and clense me from my sinne.
51:3For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sinne is euer before mee.
51:4Against thee, thee onely haue I sinned, and done this euill in thy sight: that thou mightest bee iustified when thou speakest, and be cleare when thou iudgest.
51:5Behold, I was shapen in iniquitie: and in sinne did my mother conceiue me.
51:6Behold, thou desirest trueth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisedome.
51:7Purge me with hyssope, and I shalbe cleane: wash me, and I shall be whiter then snow.
51:8Make mee to heare ioy and gladnesse: that the bones which thou hast broken, may reioyce.
51:9Hide thy face from my sinnes; and blot out all mine iniquities.
51:10Create in mee a cleane heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within mee.
51:11Cast mee not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy Spirit from me.
51:12Restore vnto me the ioy of thy saluation: and vphold mee with thy free Spirit.
51:13Then will I teach transgressours thy wayes, and sinners shalbe conuerted vnto thee.
51:14Deliuer mee from blood-guiltinesse, O God, thou God of my saluation: and my tongue shall sing alowd of thy righteousnesse.
51:15O Lord open thou my lips, and my mouth shall shew foorth thy praise.
51:16For thou desirest not sacrifice: else would I giue it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
51:17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
51:18Doe good in thy good pleasure vnto Sion: build thou the walles of Ierusalem.
51:19Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousnesse, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullockes vpon thine altar.

51:1Haue mercie on me O Lorde accordyng to thy louyng kindnesse: accordyng vnto the multitudes of thy mercies wype out my wickednesse
51:2Washe me throughly from myne iniquitie: and clense me from my sinne
51:3For I do acknowledge my wickednesse: and my sinne is euer before me
51:4Agaynst thee, only agaynst thee I haue sinned and done this euyll in thy sight: that thou mightest be iustified in thy saying, and founde pure when thou art iudged
51:5Beholde, I was ingendred in iniquitie: and in sinne my mother conceaued me
51:6Neuerthelesse, lo thou requirest trueth in the inwarde partes of me: & therfore thou wylt make me learne wisdome in the secrete [part of myne heart.
51:7Purge thou me with hyssop and I shalbe cleane: washe thou me, and I shalbe whyter then snowe
51:8Make thou me to heare some ioy and gladnesse: let the bones reioyce which thou hast broken
51:9Turne thy face from my sinnes: and wype out all my misdeedes
51:10Make thou vnto me a cleane heart O Lorde: and renue thou a ryght spirite within me
51:11Cast me not away from thy presence: and take not thy holy spirite from me
51:12Geue me agayne the comfort of thy saluation: and confirme me with a free wyllyng spirite
51:13Then wyll I teache thy wayes vnto the wicked: and sinners shalbe conuerted vnto thee
51:14Deliuer me from blood O Lorde, the Lorde of my saluation: and my tongue shall sing with a ioyfull noyse of thy iustice
51:15O Lorde open thou my lippes: and my mouth shall set foorth thy prayse
51:16For thou desirest no sacrifice, els I would geue it thee: thou delightest not in a burnt offering
51:17Sacrifices for God is a mortified spirite: O Lorde thou wylt not despise a mortified and an humble heart
51:18Be thou beneficiall vnto Sion, according to thy gracious good wyll: buylde thou the walles of Hierusalem
51:19Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousnes, with burnt offeringes and oblations: then wyll they offer young bullockes vpon thyne aulter

51:2Wash me throughly from mine iniquitie, and clense me from my sinne.
51:3For I know mine iniquities, and my sinne is euer before me.

51:6Beholde, thou louest trueth in the inwarde affections: therefore hast thou taught mee wisedome in the secret of mine heart.
51:7Purge me with hyssope, and I shalbe cleane: wash me, and I shalbe whiter then snowe.
51:8Make me to heare ioye and gladnes, that the bones, which thou hast broken, may reioyce.
51:9Hide thy face from my sinnes, and put away all mine iniquities.
51:10Create in mee a cleane heart, O God, and renue a right spirit within me.
51:11Cast mee not away from thy presence, and take not thine holy Spirit from me.
51:12Restore to me the ioy of thy saluation, and stablish me with thy free Spirit.
51:13Then shall I teache thy wayes vnto the wicked, and sinners shalbe conuerted vnto thee.
51:14Deliuer me from blood, O God, which art the God of my saluation, and my tongue shall sing ioyfully of thy righteousnes.
51:15Open thou my lippes, O Lord, and my mouth shall shewe foorth thy praise.
51:16For thou desirest no sacrifice, though I would giue it: thou delitest not in burnt offering.
51:17The sacrifices of God are a contrite spirit: a contrite and a broken heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
51:18Bee fauourable vnto Zion for thy good pleasure: builde the walles of Ierusalem.
