Psalms - Chapter: 53

>
53:1[To the chiefe musician vpon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalme of Dauid.] The foole hath sayde in his heart, There is no god; Corrupt are they, and haue done abhominable iniquitie; there is none that doth good.
53:2God looked downe from heauen vpon the children of men, to see if there were any that did vnderstand, that did seeke God.
53:3Euery one of them is gone backe, they are altogether become filthy: there is none that doth good, no not one.
53:4Haue the workers of iniquitie no knowledge? who eate vp my people, as they eate bread; they haue not called vpon God.
53:5There were they in great feare, where no feare was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that incampeth against thee, thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.
53:6O that the saluation of Israel were come out of Sion! when God bringeth backe the captiuitie of his people, Iaakob shall reioyce, and Israel shall be glad.

 

53:1The foole hath sayde in his heart there is no God: they haue corrupted them selues, & haue made their wickednes abhominable, he is not that doeth good
53:2The Lorde looked downe from heauen vpon the chyldren of men: to see if there were any that did vnderstand and seeke after the Lorde
53:3But they dyd all go out of the way, they dyd altogether become abhomible: there was also none that would do good, no not one
53:4Wyll not the workers of iniquitie vnderstande, eating vp my people as if they eated bread: that they do not call vpon God
53:5They shalbe greatly there afraide where no cause of feare is: for the Lord wyll breake the bones of hym that besiegeth thee, thou wylt put them to shame, because the Lorde hath despised them
53:6Who is he that wyll geue saluation vnto Israel out of Sion? when the Lord wyll reduce his people out of captiuitie, Iacob wyll reioyce, and Israel wyll be glad

 

53:1To him that excelleth on Mahalath. A Psalme of David to give instruction. The foole hath saide in his heart, There is no God. they haue corrupted and done abominable wickednes: there is none that doeth good.
53:2God looked downe from heauen vpon the children of men, to see if there were any that would vnderstand, and seeke God.

53:4Doe not the workers of iniquitie knowe that they eate vp my people as they eate bread? they call not vpon God.
53:5There they were afraide for feare, where no feare was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that besieged thee: thou hast put them to confusion, because God hath cast them off.
53:6Oh giue saluation vnto Israel out of Zion: when God turneth the captiuitie of his people, then Iaakob shall reioyce, and Israel shalbe glad.
