Psalms - Chapter: 62

>
62:1The titil of the two and sixtithe salm. `The salm of Dauid, `whanne he was in the desert of Judee.
62:2God, my God, Y wake to thee ful eerli. Mi soule thirstide to thee; my fleisch thirstide to thee ful many foold.
62:3In a lond forsakun with out wei, and with out water, so Y apperide to thee in hooli; that Y schulde se thi vertu, and thi glorie.
62:4For thi merci is betere than lyues; my lippis schulen herie thee.
62:5So Y schal blesse thee in my lijf; and in thi name Y schal reise myn hondis.
62:6Mi soule be fillid as with inner fatnesse and vttermere fatnesse; and my mouth schal herie with lippis of ful out ioiyng.
62:7So Y hadde mynde on thee on my bed, in morewtidis Y shal thenke of thee;
62:8for thou were myn helpere. And in the keueryng of thi wyngis Y schal make `ful out ioye, my soule cleuede after thee;
62:9thi riythond took me vp.
62:10Forsothe thei souyten in veyn my lijf, thei schulen entre in to the lower thingis of erthe;
62:11thei schulen be bitakun in to the hondis of swerd, thei schulen be maad the partis of foxis.
62:12But the king schal be glad in God; and alle men schulen be preysid that sweren in hym, for the mouth of hem, that speken wickid thingis, is stoppid.

62:1To the excelletn musician Ieduthun. A Psalme of David. Yet my soule keepeth silence vnto God: of him commeth my saluation.
62:2Yet he is my strength and my saluation, and my defence: therefore I shall not much be mooued.
62:3How long wil ye imagine mischiefe against a man? ye shalbe all slaine: ye shalbe as a bowed wall, or as a wall shaken.
62:4Yet they consult to cast him downe from his dignitie: their delight is in lies, they blesse with their mouthes, but curse with their hearts. Selah.
62:5Yet my soule keepe thou silence vnto God: for mine hope is in him.
62:6Yet is hee my strength, and my saluation, and my defence: therefore I shall not be mooued.
62:7In God is my saluation and my glory, the rocke of my strength: in God is my trust.
62:8Trust in him alway, ye people: powre out your hearts before him, for God is our hope. Selah.
62:9Yet the children of men are vanitie, the chiefe men are lies: to lay them vpon a balance they are altogether lighter then vanitie.
62:10Trust not in oppression nor in robberie: be not vaine: if riches increase, set not your heart thereon.
62:11God spake once or twise, I haue heard it, that power belongeth vnto God,
62:12And to thee, O Lord, mercie: for thou rewardest euery one according to his worke.
