Psalms - Chapter: 71


71:1	In thee, O Lord, doe I put my trust, let me neuer be put to confusion.
71:2	Deliuer mee in thy righteousnesse, and cause me to escape: incline thine eare vnto me, and saue me.
71:3	Bee thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast giuen commandement to saue mee, for thou art my rocke, and my fortresse.
71:4	Deliuer me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the vnrighteous, and cruel man.
71:5	For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.
71:6	By thee haue I bene holden vp from the wombe: thou art hee that tooke mee out of my mothers vowels, my praise shalbe continually of thee.
71:7	I am as a wonder vnto many, but thou art my strong refuge.
71:8	Let my mouth bee filled with thy praise, and with thy honour all the day.
71:9	Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
71:10	For mine enemies speake against mee: and they that lay waite for my soule, take counsell together,
71:11	Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him, for there is none to deliuer him.
71:12	O God, be not farre from mee: O my God, make haste for my helpe.
71:13	Let them be confounded and consumed, that are aduersaries to my soule: let them bee couered with reproch and dishonour, that seeke my hurt.
71:14	But I wil hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
71:15	My mouth shall shew foorth thy righteousnesse, and thy saluation all the day: for I know not the numbers thereof.
71:16	I will goe in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousnesse, euen of thine onely.
71:17	O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto haue I declared thy wonderous workes.
71:18	Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, forsake me not: vntill I haue shewed thy strength vnto this generation, and thy power to euery one that is to come.
71:19	Thy righteousnes also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like vnto thee?
71:20	Thou which hast shewed mee great, and sore troubles, shalt quicken mee againe, and shalt bring mee vp againe from the depthes of the earth.
71:21	Thou shalt increase my greatnesse, and comfort me on euery side.
71:22	I will also praise thee with the psalterie, euen thy trueth, O my God: vnto thee will I sing with the harpe, O thou Holy one of Israel.
71:23	My lippes shall greatly reioyce when I sing vnto thee: and my soule, which thou hast redeemed.
71:24	My tongue also shall talke of thy righteousnesse all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought vnto shame, that seeke my hurt.


71:1	(71:1a) In thee O God I haue put my trust, let me neuer be put to confusion
71:2	(71:1b) ridde me and deliuer me in thy ryghteousnesse, incline thine eare vnto me, and saue me
71:3	(71:2) Be thou my strong holde whervnto I may alway resort: thou hast geuen a charge to saue me, for thou art my house of defence, and my castell
71:4	(71:3) Delyuer me O my Lorde out of the hande of the vngodly: out of the hande of the vnryghteous and cruell man
71:5	(71:4) For thou O Lorde God art the thyng that I long for: thou art my hope euen from my youth
71:6	(71:5) Through thee haue I ben mayntayned euer since I was borne: thou art he that toke me out of my mothers wombe, my praise shalbe alway of thee
71:7	(71:6) I am become as it were a monster vnto many: but my sure trust is in thee
71:8	(71:7) Oh let my mouth be fylled: with thy prayse and glorie all the day long
71:9	(71:8) Cast me not away in the tyme of age: forsake me not when my strength fayleth me
71:10	(71:9) For myne enemies speake against me: and they that lay awayte for my soule take their counsayle together
71:11	(71:10) They say, the Lorde hath forsaken hym: do you persecute hym and take hym, for there is none to delyuer hym
71:12	(71:11) Go not farre from me O Lorde: haste thee O my Lorde to helpe me
71:13	(71:12) Let them be confounded, let them be brought to naught that are agaynst my soule: let them be couered with shame and dishonour that seke to do me euyll
71:14	(71:13) As for me I wyll patiently wayte alway: and I wyll prayse thee more and more
71:15	(71:14) My mouth shall dayly speake of thy ryghteousnesse and saluation: for I knowe no ende therof
71:16	(71:15) I wyll go foorth in the strength of the Lorde God: and I wyll only make mention of thy ryghteousnesse
71:17	(71:16) Thou O God hast taught me from my youth: and hytherto I can well declare thy wonderous workes
71:18	(71:17) Wherfore whylest I am olde and am gray headed: O Lorde forsake me not, vntyll I haue shewed thy arme vnto this generation, and thy power to all them that are yet for to come
71:19	(71:18) And vntyll I haue exceedyngly exalted O Lorde thy ryghteousnesse: for great thynges are they that thou hast done, O Lorde who is lyke vnto thee
71:20	(71:19) Which hast made me to feele many great troubles and aduersities: yet returnyng thou hast reuyued me, yea returnyng thou hast caused me to come out from the bottome of the earth
71:21	(71:20) Thou hast brought me to greater honour then I had before: & thou returnyng hast comforted me on euery syde
71:22	(71:21) Therfore I wyll confesse vnto thee thy trueth O Lorde, playing vpon an instrument of musicke: vnto thee I wyl syng psalmes vpon the harpe O thou most holy God of Israel
71:23	(71:22) My lyppes wyll be ioyfull when I syng vnto thee: and so wyll my soule which thou hast redeemed
71:24	(71:23) My tongue also shal talke of thy righteousnesse all the day long: for they are confounded and brought vnto shame that seke to do me euyll

71:2	Rescue mee and deliuer me in thy righteousnes: incline thine eare vnto me and saue me.
71:3	Be thou my strong rocke, whereunto I may alway resort: thou hast giuen commandement to saue me: for thou art my rocke, and my fortresse.
71:4	Deliuer mee, O my God, out of the hande of the wicked: out of the hande of the euill and cruell man.
71:5	For thou art mine hope, O Lord God, euen my trust from my youth.
71:6	Vpon thee haue I beene stayed from the wombe: thou art he that tooke me out of my mothers bowels: my praise shalbe alwaies of thee.
71:7	I am become as it were a monster vnto many: but thou art my sure trust.
71:8	Let my mouth be filled with thy praise, and with thy glory euery day.
71:9	Cast mee not off in the time of age: forsake me not when my strength faileth.
71:10	For mine enemies speake of mee, and they that lay waite for my soule, take their counsell together,
71:11	Saying, God hath forsaken him: pursue and take him, for there is none to deliuer him.
71:12	Goe not farre from me, O God: my God, haste thee to helpe me.
71:13	Let them be confounded and consumed that are against my soule: let them be couered with reproofe and confusion, that seeke mine hurt.
71:14	But I will waite continually, and will praise thee more and more.
71:15	My mouth shall daily rehearse thy righteousnesse, and thy saluation: for I knowe not the nomber.
71:16	I will goe forwarde in the strength of the Lord God, and will make mention of thy righteousnesse, euen of thine onely.
71:17	O God, thou hast taught me from my youth euen vntill nowe: therefore will I tell of thy wonderous workes,
71:18	Yea, euen vnto mine olde age and graie head, O God: forsake me not, vntill I haue declared thine arme vnto this generation, and thy power to all them, that shall come.
71:19	And thy righteousnes, O God, I wil exalt on high: for thou hast done great thinges: O God, who is like vnto thee!
71:20	Which hast shewed me great troubles and aduersities, but thou wilt returne, and reuiue me, and wilt come againe, and take mee vp from the depth of the earth.
71:21	Thou wilt increase mine honour, and returne and comfort me.
71:22	Therefore will I praise thee for thy faithfulnesse, O God, vpon instrument and viole: vnto thee will I sing vpon the harpe, O Holy one of Israel.
71:23	My lippes will reioyce when I sing vnto thee, and my soule, which thou hast deliuered.
71:24	My tongue also shall talke of thy righteousnesse daily: for they are confounded and brought vnto shame, that seeke mine hurt.
