Psalms - Chapter: 72


72:1	Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.
72:2	He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
72:3	The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
72:4	He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
72:5	They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
72:6	He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
72:7	In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
72:8	He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
72:9	They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
72:10	The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
72:11	Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
72:12	For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
72:13	He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
72:14	He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
72:15	And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.
72:16	There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
72:17	His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
72:18	Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
72:19	And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
72:20	The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.


72:1	לשׁלמה אלהים משׁפטיך למלך תן וצדקתך לבן מלך׃
72:2	ידין עמך בצדק וענייך במשׁפט׃
72:3	ישׂאו הרים שׁלום לעם וגבעות בצדקה׃
72:4	ישׁפט עניי עם יושׁיע לבני אביון וידכא עושׁק׃
72:5	ייראוך עם שׁמשׁ ולפני ירח דור דורים׃
72:6	ירד כמטר על גז כרביבים זרזיף ארץ׃
72:7	יפרח בימיו צדיק ורב שׁלום עד בלי ירח׃
72:8	וירד מים עד ים ומנהר עד אפסי ארץ׃
72:9	לפניו יכרעו ציים ואיביו עפר ילחכו׃
72:10	מלכי תרשׁישׁ ואיים מנחה ישׁיבו מלכי שׁבא וסבא אשׁכר יקריבו׃
72:11	וישׁתחוו לו כל מלכים כל גוים יעבדוהו׃
72:12	כי יציל אביון משׁוע ועני ואין עזר׃
72:13	יחס על דל ואביון ונפשׁות אביונים יושׁיע׃
72:14	מתוך ומחמס יגאל נפשׁם וייקר דמם בעיניו׃
72:15	ויחי ויתן לו מזהב שׁבא ויתפלל בעדו תמיד כל היום יברכנהו׃
72:16	יהי פסת בר בארץ בראשׁ הרים ירעשׁ כלבנון פריו ויציצו מעיר כעשׂב הארץ׃
72:17	יהי שׁמו לעולם לפני שׁמשׁ ינין שׁמו ויתברכו בו כל גוים יאשׁרוהו׃
72:18	ברוך יהוה אלהים אלהי ישׂראל עשׂה נפלאות לבדו׃
72:19	וברוך שׁם כבודו לעולם וימלא כבודו את כל הארץ אמן ואמן׃
72:20	כלו תפלות דוד בן ישׁי׃


72:1	By Solomon. O God, Thy judgments to the king give, And Thy righteousness to the king's son.
72:2	He judgeth Thy people with righteousness, And Thy poor with judgment.
72:3	The mountains bear peace to the people, And the heights by righteousness.
72:4	He judgeth the poor of the people, Giveth deliverance to the sons of the needy, And bruiseth the oppressor.
72:5	They fear Thee with the sun, and before the moon, Generation -- generations.
72:6	He cometh down as rain on mown grass, As showers -- sprinkling the earth.
72:7	Flourish in his days doth the righteous, And abundance of peace till the moon is not.
72:8	And he ruleth from sea unto sea, And from the river unto the ends of earth.
72:9	Before him bow do the inhabitants of the dry places, And his enemies lick the dust.
72:10	Kings of Tarshish and of the isles send back a present. Kings of Sheba and Seba a reward bring near.
72:11	And all kings do bow themselves to him, All nations do serve him,
72:12	For he delivereth the needy who crieth, And the poor when he hath no helper,
72:13	He hath pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he saveth,
72:14	From fraud and from violence he redeemeth their soul, And precious is their blood in his eyes.
72:15	And he liveth, and giveth to him of the gold of Sheba, And prayeth for him continually, All the day he doth bless him.
72:16	There is a handful of corn in the earth, On the top of mountains, Shake like Lebanon doth its fruit, And they flourish out of the city as the herb of the earth.
72:17	His name is to the age, Before the sun is his name continued, And they bless themselves in him, All nations do pronounce him happy.
72:18	Blessed is Jehovah God, God of Israel, He alone is doing wonders,
72:19	And blessed `is' the Name of His honour to the age, And the whole earth is filled `with' His honour. Amen, and amen!
72:20	The prayers of David son of Jesse have been ended.
