Psalms - Chapter: 75

75:1To the chaunter, Destroye not. A Psalme and songe of Asaph. Unto the (O God) do we geue thankes yee, vnto the do we geue thankes:
75:2thy name also is so nye, & that do thy wonderous worckes declare.
75:3When I receaue the congregacion, I shall iudge accordynge vnto ryght.
75:4The earth is weake and all the in habiters therof, I beare vp the pyllers of it.
75:5I sayde vnto the foles: deale not so madly, and to the vngodly: set not vp your horne.
75:6Set not vp youre horne on hye, & speake not with a styfnecke.
75:7For promocion commeth nether from the East, ner from the west, ner yet from the south.
75:8And why? God is the Iudge: he putteth downe one, and setteth vp another.
75:9For in the hande of the Lord there is a cuppe, & the wyne is redd, It is full mixte, & he poureth out of the same. As for the dregges therof, all the vngodly of the earth shall drincke them, and sucke them out.
75:10But I wyll talke of the God of Iacob, and prayse hym for euer. All the hornes of the vngodly also wyll I breake, and the hornes of the ryghteous shalbe exalted.

 

75:1The title of the fyue and seuentithe salm. To the victorie in orguns, `the salm of the song of Asaph.
75:2God is knowun in Judee; his name is greet in Israel.
75:3And his place is maad in pees; and his dwellyng is in Syon.
75:4Ther he brak poweris; bowe, scheeld, swerd, and batel.
75:5And thou, God, liytnest wondirfuli fro euerlastynge hillis;
75:6alle vnwise men of herte weren troblid. Thei slepten her sleep; and alle men founden no thing of richessis in her hondis.
75:7Thei that stieden on horsis; slepten for thi blamyng, thou God of Jacob.
75:8Thou art feerful, and who schal ayenstonde thee? fro that tyme thin ire.
75:9Fro heuene thou madist doom herd; the erthe tremblide, and restide.
75:10Whanne God roos vp in to doom; to make saaf al the mylde men of erthe.

75:3When I maye get a conuenient tyme, I shal iudge acordinge vnto right.
75:4The earth is weake & all that is therin, but I beare vp hir pilers.
75:5Sela. I sayde vnto the madde people: deale not so madly, & to the vngodly: set not vp youre hornes.
75:6Set not vp youre hornes an hye, & speake not with a stiff necke.
75:7For promocio commeth nether from the east ner from the west, ner yet fro the wyldernesse.
75:8And why? God is the iudge: he putteth downe one & setteth vp another.
75:9For in the honde of the LORDE there is a cuppe full of stronge wyne, & he poureth out of the same: As for the dregges therof, all ye vngodly of the earth shal drynke them, & sucke them out.
75:10But I wil talke of the God of Iacob, & prayse him for euer. All the hornes of the vngodly will I breake, & ye hornes of the rightuous shalbe exalted.
