| 81:1 | [To the chiefe Musician vpon Gittith. A Psalme of Asaph.] Sing alowd vnto God our strength: make a ioyfull noise vnto the God of Iacob. |
| 81:2 | Take a Psalme, and bring hither the timbrell: the pleasant harpe with the psalterie. |
| 81:3 | Blow vp the trumpet in the new Moone: in the time appointed on our solemne feast day. |
| 81:4 | For this was a Statute for Israel: and a Law of the God of Iacob. |
| 81:5 | This he ordained in Ioseph for a testimonie, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language, that I vnderstood not. |
| 81:6 | I remoued his shoulder from the burden: his handes were deliuered from the pots. |
| 81:7 | Thou calledst in trouble, and I deliuered thee, I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proued thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah. |
| 81:8 | Heare, O my people, and I will testifie vnto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken vnto me: |
| 81:9 | There shall no strange God be in thee: neither shalt thou worship any strange God. |
| 81:10 | I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. |
| 81:11 | But my people would not hearken to my voice: and Israel would none of me. |
| 81:12 | So I gaue them vp vnto their owne hearts lust: and they walked in in their owne counsels. |
| 81:13 | O that my people had hearkned vnto me: and Israel had walked in my wayes! |
| 81:14 | I should soone haue subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their aduersaries. |
| 81:15 | The haters of the Lord should haue submitted themselues vnto him: but their time should haue endured for euer. |
| 81:16 | Hee should haue fedde them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honie out of the rocke, should I haue satisfied thee. |

| 81:5 | Hee set this in Ioseph for a testimonie, when hee came out of the land of Egypt, where I heard a language, that I vnderstoode not. |
| 81:6 | I haue withdrawen his shoulder from the burden, and his handes haue left the pots. |
| 81:7 | Thou calledst in affliction and I deliuered thee, and answered thee in the secret of the thunder: I prooued thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah. |
| 81:8 | Heare, O my people, and I wil protest vnto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken vnto me, |
| 81:9 | Let there bee no strange god in thee, neither worship thou any strange god. |
| 81:10 | For I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide and I will fill it. |
| 81:11 | But my people would not heare my voyce, and Israel would none of me. |
| 81:12 | So I gaue them vp vnto the hardnesse of their heart, and they haue walked in their owne cousels. |
| 81:13 | Oh that my people had hearkened vnto me, and Israel had walked in my wayes. |
| 81:14 | I would soone haue humbled their enemies, and turned mine hand against their aduersaries. |
| 81:15 | The haters of the Lord should haue bene subiect vnto him, and their time should haue endured for euer. |
| 81:16 | And God would haue fedde them with the fatte of wheat, and with honie out of the rocke would I haue sufficed thee. |

| 81:9 | Heare, O my people, and I will assure the of Israel, yf thou wylt herken vnto me. |
| 81:10 | There shall no straunge God be in the, nether shalt thou worshippe any other God. |
| 81:11 | I am the Lorde thy God, whych brought the out of the lande of Egypt, open thy mouth wyde, and I shall fyll it. |
| 81:12 | But my people wold not heare my voyce, and Israel wolde not obey me. |
| 81:13 | So I gaue them vp vnto their awne hertes lust, and let them folowe their awne ymaginacyons. |
| 81:14 | O that my people wolde haue herkened vnto me, for yf Israel had walked in my wayes. |
| 81:15 | I shulde soone haue put downe their enemyes, & turned myne hand agaynst their aduersaryes. |
| 81:16 | The haters of the Lorde shulde haue bene founde lyars, but their tyme shulde haue endured for euer. He shuld haue fed them also wyth the fynest wheate floure, and with hony out of the stony roke shulde I haue satisfyed the. |
