129:1	A songe of the stayres. Many a tyme haue they fought agaynst me fro my youth vp (maye Israel nowe saye.)
129:2	Yee, many a tyme haue they vexed me fro my youth vp, but they haue not preuayled agaynst me.
129:3	The plowers plowed vpon my backe, & made longe forowes.
129:4	But the ryghteous Lorde hath hewen the snares of the vngodly in peces.
129:5	Let them be confounded and turned backwarde, as many as haue euyll wyll at Sion.
129:6	Let them be euen as the grasse growynge vpon the house toppes, whych wythereth afore it be pluckte vp.
129:7	Wherof the mower fylleth not hys hande, nether he that byndeth vp the sheaues, hys bosome.
129:8	So that they whych go by, saye not so moche: as the Lorde prospere you, we wysh you good lucke in the name of the Lorde.


129:1	The `title of the hundrid and nyne and twentithe `salm. The song of greces. Lord, Y criede to thee fro depthes; Lord, here thou mi vois.
129:2	Thin eeris be maad ententif; in to the vois of my biseching.
129:3	Lord, if thou kepist wickidnessis; Lord, who schal susteyne?
129:4	For merci is at thee; and, Lord, for thi lawe Y abood thee. Mi soule susteynede in his word; my soule hopide in the Lord.
129:5	Fro the morewtid keping til to niyt;
129:6	Israel hope in the Lord.
129:7	For whi merci is at the Lord; and plenteous redempcioun is at hym.
129:8	And he schal ayen bie Israel; fro alle the wickidnessis therof.

129:6	Let the be eue as the haye vpon the house toppes, which wythereth afore it be pluckte vp.
129:7	Wherof the mower fylleth not his hande, nether he that byndeth vp the sheaues, his bosome.
129:8	So that they which go by, saye not so moch as: the LORDE prospere you, we wish you good lucke in the name of the LORDE.
