136:1The hundrid and sixe and thrittithe salm. On the floodis of Babiloyne there we saten, and wepten; while we bithouyten on Syon.
136:2In salewis in the myddil therof; we hangiden vp oure orguns.
136:3For thei that ledden vs prisoners; axiden vs there the wordis of songis. And thei that ledden awei vs seiden; Synge ye to vs an ympne of the songis of Syon.
136:4Hou schulen we singe a songe of the Lord; in an alien lond?
136:5If Y foryete thee, Jerusalem; my riyt hond be youun to foryeting.
136:6Mi tunge cleue to my chekis; if Y bithenke not on thee. If Y purposide not of thee, Jerusalem; in the bigynnyng of my gladnesse.
136:7Lord, haue thou mynde on the sones of Edom; for the dai of Jerusalem. Whiche seien, Anyntische ye, anyntische ye; `til to the foundement ther ynne.
136:8Thou wretchid douyter of Babiloyne; he is blessid, that `schal yelde to thee thi yelding, which thou yeldidist to vs.
136:9He is blessid, that schal holde; and hurtle doun hise litle children at a stoon.

136:4Which onely doeth great wonders: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:5Which by his wisedome made the heauens: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:6Which hath stretched out the earth vpon the waters: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:7Which made great lightes: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:8As the sunne to rule the day: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:9The moone and the starres to gouerne the night: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:10Which smote Egypt with their first borne, (for his mercie endureth for euer)
136:11And brought out Israel from among them (for his mercie endureth for euer)
136:12With a mightie hande and stretched out arme: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:13Which deuided the red Sea in two partes: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:14And made Israel to passe through the mids of it: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:15And ouerthrewe Pharaoh and his hoste in the red Sea: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:16Which led his people through the wildernes: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:17Which smote great Kings: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:18And slewe mightie Kings: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:19As Sihon King of the Amorites: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:20And Og the King of Bashan: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:21And gaue their land for an heritage: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:22Euen an heritage vnto Israel his seruant: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:23Which remembred vs in our base estate: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:24And hath rescued vs from our oppressours: for his mercie endureth for euer:
136:25Which giueth foode to all flesh: for his mercie endureth for euer.
136:26Praise ye the God of heauen: for his mercie endureth for euer.
