Psalms - Chapter: 137

>
137:1By the riuers of Babylon, there wee sate downe, yea we wept: when we remembred Zion.
137:2Wee hanged our harpes vpon the willowes, in the midst thereof.
137:3For there they that carried vs away captiue, required of vs a song, and they that wasted vs, required of vs mirth: saying, Sing vs one of the songs of Zion.
137:4How shall we sing the Lords song: in a strange land?
137:5If I forget thee, O Ierusalem: let my right hand forget her cunning.
137:6If I doe not remember thee, let my tongue cleaue to the roofe of my mouth; if I preferre not Ierusalem aboue my chiefe ioy.
137:7Remember, O Lord, the children of Edom, in the day of Ierusalem; who sayd, rase it, rase it: euen to the foundation thereof.
137:8O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed: happy shall he be that rewardeth thee, as thou hast serued vs.
137:9Happy shall he be that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

137:3For there they that led vs away captiue required of vs some matter of a song: and for our waylynges myrth, saying sing vs one of the songes of Sion
137:4He aunswered howe can we sing one of the songes of God: in another lande besides our owne
137:5If I forget thee O Hierusalem: let my right hande forget [her cunning.
137:6Let my tongue cleaue to the roofe of my mouth, if I do not remember thee: yea if I preferre not thee O Hierusalem aboue my most myrth
137:7Remember the chyldren of Edom in the day of Hierusalem: they sayde, downe with it, downe with it, euen to the grounde
137:8O daughter of Babylon who must lye wasted: happy shall he be that rewardeth thee as thou hast serued vs
137:9Blessed shall he be: that taketh & throweth thy litle children against the stone

137:4Howe shall we sing, said we, a song of the Lord in a strange land?
137:5If I forget thee, O Ierusalem, let my right hand forget to play.
137:6If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleaue to the roofe of my mouth: yea, if I preferre not Ierusalem to my chiefe ioy.
137:7Remember the children of Edom, O Lord, in the day of Ierusalem, which saide, Rase it, rase it to the foundation thereof.
137:8O daughter of Babel, worthy to be destroyed, blessed shall he be that rewardeth thee, as thou hast serued vs.
137:9Blessed shall he be that taketh and dasheth thy children against the stones.
