Psalms - Chapter: 141

>
141:1[A Psalme of Dauid.] Lord, I crie vnto thee, make haste vnto mee: giue eare vnto my voice, when I crie vnto thee.
141:2Let my prayer bee set foorth before thee as incense: and the lifting vp of my hands as the Euening sacrifice.
141:3Set a watch (O Lord) before my mouth: keepe the doore of my lips.
141:4Incline not my heart to any euill thing, to practise wicked workes with men that worke iniquitie: and let mee not eate of their dainties.
141:5Let the righteous smite mee, it shalbe a kindnesse: and let him reprooue me, it shalbe an excellent oile, which shall not breake my head: for yet my prayer also shalbe in their calamities.
141:6When their Iudges are ouerthrowen in stonie places, they shall heare my words, for they are sweet.
141:7Our bones are scattered at the graues mouth: as when one cutteth and cleaueth wood vpon the earth.
141:8But mine eyes are vnto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust, leaue not my soule destitute.
141:9Keepe mee from the snare which they haue laide for me, and the grinnes of the workers of iniquitie.
141:10Let the wicked fall into their owne nets: whilest that I withal escape.

 

141:1A Psalme of David. O Lord, I call vpon thee: haste thee vnto me: heare my voyce, when I cry vnto thee.
141:2Let my prayer be directed in thy sight as incense, and the lifting vp of mine hands as an euening sacrifice.
141:3Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth, and keepe the doore of my lips.
141:4Incline not mine heart to euill, that I should commit wicked workes with men that worke iniquitie: and let me not eate of their delicates.
141:5Let the righteous smite me: for that is a benefite: and let him reprooue me, and it shalbe a precious oyle, that shall not breake mine head: for within a while I shall euen pray in their miseries.
141:6When their iudges shall be cast downe in stonie places, they shall heare my wordes, for they are sweete.
141:7Our bones lye scattered at the graues mouth, as he that heweth wood or diggeth in the earth.
141:8But mine eyes looke vnto thee, O Lord God: in thee is my trust: leaue not my soule destitute.
141:9Keepe me from the snare, which they haue layde for me, and from the grennes of the workers of iniquitie.
141:10Let the wicked fall into his nettes together, whiles I escape.

141:4O let not myne herte be inclyned to any euell thynge: let me not be occupyed in vngodly workes, with the men that worke wyckednesse, lest I eate of soch thynges as please them.
141:5Let the ryghteous rather smyte me frendly & reproue me.
141:6But let not ther preciouse balmes: breake myne heed: yee, I wyll praye yet agaynste theyr wyckednesse.
141:7Lett theyr iudges be ouerthrowen in stony places: that they may heare my wordes: for they are swete.
141:8Our bones lye scatered before the pit, lyke as when one breaketh and heweth wood vpon the erth.
141:9But myne eyes looke vnto the, O Lorde God: in the is my trust, Oh cast not out my soule.
141:10Kepe me from the snare which they haue layed for me: & from the trappes of the wicked doers. Let the vngodly fall into their awne nettes together: and let me euer escape them.
