Psalms - Chapter: 147

>
147:1Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
147:2The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.
147:3He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
147:4He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
147:5Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
147:6The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
147:7Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:
147:8Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.
147:9He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
147:10He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
147:11The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
147:12Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
147:13For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.
147:14He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
147:15He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
147:16He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.
147:17He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
147:18He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
147:19He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
147:20He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.

 

147:1O prayse the Lord, for it is a good thing to synge prayse vnto oure God: yee a ioyfull and pleasaunt thynge is it to be thankfull.
147:2The Lorde doth buylde vp Ierusalem, and shall gather to gether the outcastes of Israel.
147:3He healeth those that ar broken in harte & gyueth medycine to heale ther sycknes.
147:4He telleth the nombre of the starres, and calleth them all by ther names.
147:5Greate is oure Lorde, and greate is hys power: yee hys wysdome is infynite.
147:6The Lorde setteth vp the meke, and bryngeth the vngodly downe to the grounde.
147:7O synge vnto the Lorde with thankesgeuynge, synge prayse vpon the harpe vnto oure God.
147:8Whych couereth the heauen wyth cloudes, and prepareth rayne for the earth, and maketh the grasse to growe vpon the mountaynes.
147:9Whych geueth fodre vnto the catell, & fedeth the yong rauens that call vpon hym.
147:10He hath not pleasure in the strength of an horse, nether delyteth he in any mans legges.
147:11But the Lordes delyte is in them that feare hym, and put their trust in hys mercy.
147:12Prayse the Lord, O Ierusalem: prayse thy God, O Sion.
147:13For he hath made fast the barres of thy gates, & hath blessed thy chyldren wythin the.
147:14He maketh peace in thy borders, and fylleth the wyth the floure of wheate.
147:15He sendeth forth hys commaundement vpon earth, and hys worde runneth very swyftly.
147:16He geueth snowe lyke wolle, & scatereth the horefrost lyke ashes.
147:17He casteth forth hys yse lyke morsels, who is able to abyde hys frost?
147:18He sendeth out his worde & mealteth them, he bloweth with his wynd, and the waters flowe.
147:19He sheweth hys worde vnto Iacob, hys statutes & ordinaunces vnto Israel.
147:20He hath not dealte so wt anye nacyon, nether haue the heathen knowledge of hys lawes. Haleluiah.
