Proverbs - Chapter: 2

>
2:1My sonne, if thou wilt receiue my words, and hide my commaundements with thee;
2:2So that thou incline thine eare vnto wisedome, and apply thine heart to vnderstanding:
2:3Yea if thou cryest after knowledge, and liftest vp thy voyce for vnderstanding:
2:4If thou seekest her as siluer, and searchest for her, as for hid treasures:
2:5Then shalt thou vnderstand the feare of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
2:6For the Lord giueth wisedome: out of his mouth commeth knowledge, and vnderstanding.
2:7He layeth vp sound wisedome for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walke vprightly.
2:8He keepeth the pathes of iudgement, and preserueth the way of his Saints.
2:9Then shalt thou vnderstand righteousnesse, and iudgement, and equity; yea euery good path.
2:10When wisedome entreth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant vnto thy soule;
2:11Discretion shall preserue thee, vnderstanding shall keepe thee:
2:12To deliuer thee from the way of the euill man, from the man that speaketh froward things.
2:13Who leaue the pathes of vprightnesse, to walke in the wayes of darkenesse:
2:14Who reioyce to doe euill, and delight in the frowardnesse of the wicked.
2:15Whose wayes are crooked, and they froward in their pathes.
2:16To deliuer thee from the strange woman, euen from the stranger, which flattereth with her words:
2:17Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the couenant of her God.
2:18For her house inclineth vnto death, and her pathes vnto the dead:
2:19None that goe vnto her, returne againe, neither take they hold of the pathes of life.
2:20That thou mayest walke in the way of good men, and keepe the pathes of the righteous.
2:21For the vpright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remaine in it.
2:22But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressours shalbe rooted out of it.

2:1My sonne, if thou wylt receaue my wordes, and lay vp my commaundementes within thee
2:2That thou wylt encline thine eares vnto wisdome: applye thine heart then to vnderstandyng
2:3For if thou cryest after wisdome, and cryest for knowledge
2:4If thou seekest for her as for siluer, and searchest for her as for treasures
2:5Then shalt thou vnderstand the feare of the Lorde, and finde the knowledge of God
2:6For the Lorde geueth wisdome, out of his mouth commeth knowledge and vnderstandyng
2:7He stirreth vp health for the righteous: and defendeth them that walke vprightly
2:8That they may kepe the right path: and he preserueth the way of such as do serue him with godlinesse
2:9Then shalt thou vnderstande righteousnesse, and iudgement, and equitie, yea and euery good path
2:10When wisdome entreth into thine heart, and thy soule deliteth in knowledge
2:11Then shall counsayle preserue thee, and vnderstandyng shall kepe thee
2:12That thou mayest be deliuered from the euyll way, and from the man that speaketh frowarde thynges
2:13From such as leaue the wayes of righteousnesse, to walke in the wayes of darknesse
2:14Which reioyce in doyng naught, and delite in the wickednesse of the euyll
2:15Whose wayes are croked, and they frowarde in their pathes
2:16That thou mayest be deliuered also from the straunge woman, and from her that is not thine owne, which geueth sweete wordes
2:17Forsaketh the husbande of her youth, & forgetteth the couenaunt of her God
2:18For her house is enclined vnto death, and her pathes vnto hell
2:19All they that go in vnto her, come not agayne, neither take they holde of the way of lyfe
2:20Therfore walke thou in the way of such as be vertuous, & kepe the pathes of the righteous
2:21For the iust shal dwell in the lande, and they that be perfect shall remayne in it
2:22But the vngodly shall be cut of from the earth: and the wicked doers shalbe rooted out of it

2:1My sonne, if thou wilt receiue my wordes, and hide my commandements within thee,
2:2And cause thine eares to hearken vnto wisdome, and encline thine heart to vnderstanding,
2:3(For if thou callest after knowledge, and cryest for vnderstanding:
2:4If thou seekest her as siluer, and searchest for her as for treasures,
2:5Then shalt thou vnderstand the feare of the Lord, and finde the knowledge of God.
2:6For the Lord giueth wisdome, out of his mouth commeth knowledge and vnderstanding.
2:7He preserueth the state of the righteous: he is a shielde to them that walke vprightly,
2:8That they may keepe the wayes of iudgement: and he preserueth the way of his Saintes)
2:9Then shalt thou vnderstand righteousnes, and iudgement, and equitie, and euery good path.
2:10When wisdome entreth into thine heart, and knowledge deliteth thy soule,
2:11Then shall counsell preserue thee, and vnderstanding shall keepe thee,
2:12And deliuer thee from the euill way, and from the man that speaketh froward things,
2:13And from them that leaue the wayes of righteousnes to walke in the wayes of darkenes:
2:14Which reioyce in doing euill, and delite in the frowardnesse of the wicked,
2:15Whose wayes are crooked and they are lewde in their paths.
2:16And it shall deliuer thee from the strange woman, euen from the stranger, which flattereth with her wordes.
2:17Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the couenant of her God.
2:18Surely her house tendeth to death, and her paths vnto the dead.
2:19All they that goe vnto her, returne not againe, neither take they holde of the wayes of life.
2:20Therefore walke thou in the way of good men, and keepe the wayes of the righteous.
2:21For the iust shall dwell in the land, and the vpright men shall remaine in it.
2:22But the wicked shalbe cut off from ye earth, and the transgressours shalbe rooted out of it.
