Proverbs - Chapter: 3


3:1	My sonne, forget not my lawe; but let thine heart keepe my commaundements:
3:2	For length of dayes, and long life, and peace shall they adde to thee.
3:3	Let not mercy and trueth forsake thee: bind them about thy necke, write them vpon the table of thine heart.
3:4	So shalt thou find fauour, and good vnderstanding in the sight of God, and man.
3:5	Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and leaue not vnto thine owne vnderstanding.
3:6	In all thy wayes acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy pathes.
3:7	Be not wise in thine owne eyes: feare the Lord, and depart from euill.
3:8	It shalbe health to thy nauill, and marrow to thy bones.
3:9	Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase.
3:10	So shall thy barnes be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
3:11	My sonne, despise not the chastening of the Lord: neither be weary of his correction.
3:12	For whom the Lord loueth, he correcteth, euen as a father the sonne, in whom he delighteth.
3:13	Happy is the man that findeth wisedome, and the man that getteth vnderstanding.
3:14	For the merchandise of it is better then the merchandise of siluer, and the gaine thereof, then fine gold.
3:15	She is more precious then Rubies: and all the things thou canst desire, are not to be compared vnto her.
3:16	Length of dayes is in her right hand: and in her left hand, riches and honour.
3:17	Her wayes are wayes of plesantnesse: and all her pathes are peace.
3:18	She is a tree of life, to them that lay hold vpon her: and happy is euery one that retaineth her.
3:19	The Lord by wisedome hath founded the earth; by vnderstanding hath he established the heauens.
3:20	By his knowledge the depthes are broken vp; and the cloudes droppe downe the dew.
3:21	My sonne, let not them depart from thine eyes: keepe sound wisedome and discretion.
3:22	So shall they bee life vnto thy soule, and grace to thy necke.
3:23	Then shalt thou walke in thy way safely, & thy foot shall not stumble.
3:24	When thou lyest downe, thou shalt not be afraide: yea, thou shalt lye downe, and thy sleepe shalbe sweet.
3:25	Be not afraid of sudden feare, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it commeth.
3:26	For the Lord shalbe thy confidence, and shall keepe thy foote from being taken.
3:27	Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to doe it.
3:28	Say not vnto thy neighbour, Goe, and come againe, and to morrow I will giue, when thou hast it by thee.
3:29	Deuise not euil against thy neighbour, seeing hee dwelleth securely by thee.
3:30	Striue not with a man without cause, if hee haue done thee no harme.
3:31	Enuie thou not the oppressour, and choose none of his wayes.
3:32	For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous.
3:33	The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the iust.
3:34	Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giueth grace vnto the lowly.
3:35	The wise shall inherite glory, but shame shalbe the promotion of fooles.

3:13	Blessed is the man that findeth wisedome, and the man that getteth vnderstanding.
3:14	For the marchandise thereof is better then the marchandise of siluer, and the gaine thereof is better then golde.
3:15	It is more precious then pearles: and all things that thou canst desire, are not to be compared vnto her.

3:21	My sonne, let not these things depart from thine eyes, but obserue wisdome, and counsell.
3:22	So they shalbe life to thy soule, and grace vnto thy necke.
3:23	Then shalt thou walke safely by thy way: and thy foote shall not stumble.
3:24	If thou sleepest, thou shalt not bee afraide, and when thou sleepest, thy sleepe shalbe sweete.
3:25	Thou shalt not feare for any sudden feare, neither for the destruction of the wicked, when it commeth.
3:26	For the Lord shall be for thine assurance, and shall preserue thy foote from taking.
3:27	Withhold not the good from the owners thereof, though there be power in thine hand to doe it.
3:28	Say not vnto thy neighbour, Go and come againe, and to morow wil I giue thee, if thou now haue it.
3:29	Intend none hurt against thy neighbour, seeing he doeth dwell without feare by thee.
3:30	Striue not with a man causelesse, when he hath done thee no harme.
3:31	Bee not enuious for the wicked man, neither chuse any of his wayes.
3:32	For the frowarde is abomination vnto the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous.
3:33	The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the righteous.
3:34	With the scornefull he scorneth, but hee giueth grace vnto the humble.
3:35	The wise shall inherite glorie: but fooles dishonour, though they be exalted.


3:1	My sonne, forget not thou my lawe, but se that thyne hert kepe my commaundementes.
3:2	For they shall prolonge the dayes & yeres of thy lyfe, and bringe the peace.
3:3	Let mercy and faythfulnes neuer go from the: bynde them about thy necke, and wryte them in the tables of thyne herte.
3:4	So shalt thou fynde fauour & good vnderstanding, in the syght of God and men.
3:5	Put thy trust in God with all thyne herte: and leane not vnto thyne awne witte.
3:6	In all thy wayes haue respecte vnto hym: & shall order thy goynges.
3:7	Be not wyse in thyne awne conceate: but feare the Lorde, and departe from euell:
3:8	so shall thy nauell be whole, and thy bones stronge.
3:9	Honoure the Lord wt thy substaunce: and with thy firstlinges of all thyne encrease
3:10	so shall thy barnes be fylled with plenteousnesse: and thy presses shall flowe ouer with swete wyne.
3:11	My sonne, despyse not the chastenynge of the Lorde, nether faynte when thou art rebuked of hym.
3:12	For whom the Lorde loueth, hym he chasteneth, and yet deliteth in him, euen as a father in his awne sonne.
3:13	Well is him that findeth wysdome, and opteyneth vnderstandinge:
3:14	for the getting of it is better then any marchaundise of syluer, and the profet of it is better then golde.
3:15	Wysdome is more worth then precious stones: and all the thinges that thou canst desire are not to be compared vnto her.
3:16	Upon her ryght hande is longe lyfe, and vpon her left hande is riches and honour.
3:17	Her wayes are pleasaunt wayes and all her pathes are peaceable.
3:18	She is a tree of lyfe to them that laye hold vpon her, and blessed is he that kepeth her fast.
3:19	With wysdome hath the Lorde layed the foundacion of the erth: and thorowe vnderstandinge hath he stablyshed the heauens.
3:20	Thorowe his wisdome the deapthes breake vp, and the cloudes droppe downe the dew.
3:21	My sonne, let not these thynges departe, from thyne eyes: but kepe my lawe and my councell,
3:22	that thou mayest haue the pleasure of longe lyfe and vnderstandynge: for they shalbe lyfe vnto my soule, & grace vnto my mouth.
3:23	Then shalt thou walke safely in thy waye: and thy fote shall not stomble.
3:24	If thou slepest, thou shalt nott be afrayed: but shalt take thy rest, and slepe swetely.
3:25	Thou nedest not to be afrayed of any soden feare, nether for the vyolent russhynge in of the vngodly when it commeth.
3:26	For the Lorde shall stonde by thy syde, and kepe thy fote, that thou be not taken.
3:27	Withdrawe no good thinge from them that haue nede, so longe as thyne hand is able to do it.
3:28	Saye not vnto thy neyghboure: go thy waye, & come agayne, to morowe wyll I geue the:
3:29	where as thou haste nowe to geue hym. Intende no hurte vnto thy neyghboure, seynge he dothe dwell in reest by the.
3:30	Stryue not lyghtely with anye man without cause, where as he hathe done the no harme.
3:31	Folowe not a wicked man, and chose none of hys wayes:
3:32	for the Lorde abhorreth the frowarde: but hys councell is amonge the ryghteous.
3:33	The curse of the Lorde is in the house of the vngodly: but he blesseth the dwellynges of the ryghteous.
3:34	As for the scornefull dothe not he laugh them to scorne? but he geueth grace vnto the lowly.
3:35	The wise shall haue honour in possession: but shame is the promocion that foles shall haue.
