Proverbs - Chapter: 21


21:1	The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
21:2	Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
21:3	To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
21:4	An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
21:5	The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
21:6	The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.
21:7	The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.
21:8	The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.
21:9	It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
21:10	The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.
21:11	When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
21:12	The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
21:13	Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
21:14	A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.
21:15	It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
21:16	The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
21:17	He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.
21:18	The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.
21:19	It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
21:20	There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
21:21	He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
21:22	A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.
21:23	Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
21:24	Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.
21:25	The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
21:26	He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
21:27	The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?
21:28	A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.
21:29	A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.
21:30	There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
21:31	The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.


21:1	פלגי מים לב מלך ביד יהוה על כל אשׁר יחפץ יטנו׃
21:2	כל דרך אישׁ ישׁר בעיניו ותכן לבות יהוה׃
21:3	עשׂה צדקה ומשׁפט נבחר ליהוה מזבח׃
21:4	רום עינים ורחב לב נר רשׁעים חטאת׃
21:5	מחשׁבות חרוץ אך למותר וכל אץ אך למחסור׃
21:6	פעל אוצרות בלשׁון שׁקר הבל נדף מבקשׁי מות׃
21:7	שׁד רשׁעים יגורם כי מאנו לעשׂות משׁפט׃
21:8	הפכפך דרך אישׁ וזר וזך ישׁר פעלו׃
21:9	טוב לשׁבת על פנת גג מאשׁת מדינים ובית חבר׃
21:10	נפשׁ רשׁע אותה רע לא יחן בעיניו רעהו׃
21:11	בענשׁ לץ יחכם פתי ובהשׂכיל לחכם יקח דעת׃
21:12	משׂכיל צדיק לבית רשׁע מסלף רשׁעים לרע׃
21:13	אטם אזנו מזעקת דל גם הוא יקרא ולא יענה׃
21:14	מתן בסתר יכפה אף ושׁחד בחק חמה עזה׃
21:15	שׂמחה לצדיק עשׂות משׁפט ומחתה לפעלי און׃
21:16	אדם תועה מדרך השׂכל בקהל רפאים ינוח׃
21:17	אישׁ מחסור אהב שׂמחה אהב יין ושׁמן לא יעשׁיר׃
21:18	כפר לצדיק רשׁע ותחת ישׁרים בוגד׃
21:19	טוב שׁבת בארץ מדבר מאשׁת מדונים וכעס׃
21:20	אוצר נחמד ושׁמן בנוה חכם וכסיל אדם יבלענו׃
21:21	רדף צדקה וחסד ימצא חיים צדקה וכבוד׃
21:22	עיר גברים עלה חכם וירד עז מבטחה׃
21:23	שׁמר פיו ולשׁונו שׁמר מצרות נפשׁו׃
21:24	זד יהיר לץ שׁמו עושׂה בעברת זדון׃
21:25	תאות עצל תמיתנו כי מאנו ידיו לעשׂות׃
21:26	כל היום התאוה תאוה וצדיק יתן ולא יחשׂך׃
21:27	זבח רשׁעים תועבה אף כי בזמה יביאנו׃
21:28	עד כזבים יאבד ואישׁ שׁומע לנצח ידבר׃
21:29	העז אישׁ רשׁע בפניו וישׁר הוא יכין דרכיו׃
21:30	אין חכמה ואין תבונה ואין עצה לנגד יהוה׃
21:31	סוס מוכן ליום מלחמה וליהוה התשׁועה׃


21:1	Rivulets of waters `is' the heart of a king in the hand of Jehovah, Wherever He pleaseth He inclineth it.
21:2	Every way of a man `is' right in his own eyes, And Jehovah is pondering hearts.
21:3	To do righteousness and judgment, Is chosen of Jehovah rather than sacrifice.
21:4	Loftiness of eyes, and breadth of heart, Tillage of the wicked `is' sin.
21:5	The purposes of the diligent `are' only to advantage, And of every hasty one, only to want.
21:6	The making of treasures by a lying tongue, `Is' a vanity driven away of those seeking death.
21:7	The spoil of the wicked catcheth them, Because they have refused to do judgment.
21:8	Froward `is' the way of a man who is vile, And the pure -- upright `is' his work.
21:9	Better to sit on a corner of the roof, Than `with' a woman of contentions and a house of company.
21:10	The soul of the wicked hath desired evil, Not gracious in his eyes is his neighbour.
21:11	When the scorner is punished, the simple becometh wise, And in giving understanding to the wise He receiveth knowledge.
21:12	The Righteous One is acting wisely Towards the house of the wicked, He is overthrowing the wicked for wickedness.
21:13	Whoso is shutting his ear from the cry of the poor, He also doth cry, and is not answered.
21:14	A gift in secret pacifieth anger, And a bribe in the bosom strong fury.
21:15	To do justice `is' joy to the righteous, But ruin to workers of iniquity.
21:16	A man who is wandering from the way of understanding, In an assembly of Rephaim resteth.
21:17	Whoso `is' loving mirth `is' a poor man, Whoso is loving wine and oil maketh no wealth.
21:18	The wicked `is' an atonement for the righteous, And for the upright the treacherous dealer.
21:19	Better to dwell in a wilderness land, Than `with' a woman of contentions and anger.
21:20	A treasure to be desired, and oil, `Is' in the habitation of the wise, And a foolish man swalloweth it up.
21:21	Whoso is pursuing righteousness and kindness, Findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
21:22	A city of the mighty hath the wise gone up, And bringeth down the strength of its confidence.
21:23	Whoso is keeping his mouth and his tongue, Is keeping from adversities his soul.
21:24	Proud, haughty, scorner `is' his name, Who is working in the wrath of pride.
21:25	The desire of the slothful slayeth him, For his hands have refused to work.
21:26	All the day desiring he hath desired, And the righteous giveth and withholdeth not.
21:27	The sacrifice of the wicked `is' abomination, Much more when in wickedness he bringeth it.
21:28	A false witness doth perish, And an attentive man for ever speaketh.
21:29	A wicked man hath hardened by his face, And the upright -- he prepareth his way.
21:30	There is no wisdom, nor understanding, Nor counsel, over-against Jehovah.
21:31	A horse is prepared for a day of battle, And the deliverance `is' of Jehovah!
