| 30:5 | all the wordes of God are pure and cleane, for he is a shylde vnto all them, that put theyr trust in hym. |
| 30:6 | Put thou nothyng vnto hys wordes, lest he reproue the, and thou be founde a lyar. |
| 30:7 | Two thynges haue I requyred of the, that thou wylt not denye me before I dye. |
| 30:8 | Remoue fro me vanite and lyes: geue me nether pouerte nor ryches, onely graunte me a necessary lyuynge. |
| 30:9 | Lest yf I be to full, I denye the, and saye: who is the Lorde? And lest I beinge constrayned thorow pouerte, fall vnto stealynge, and take the name of my God in vayne. |
| 30:10 | Accuse not a seruaunt vnto hys master, lest he speake euell of the, and thou be hurte. |
| 30:11 | There is a generacyon that curseth theyr father, and doth not blesse theyr mother. |
| 30:12 | There is a generacion that thynke them selues cleane, and yet is not clensed from theyr fylthynesse. |
| 30:13 | There is a generacyon that hath a proude loke, & doth cast vp theyr eye lyddes. |
| 30:14 | There is a generacion whose teth are swerdes, & with theyr chaw bones they consume & deuoure the symple of the earth, and the poore from amonge men. |
| 30:15 | The horsleche hath two daughters cryeng: bryng hyther, bryng hyther. |
| 30:16 | There be thre thynges that are neuer satysfyed, yee, fowre thynges sayeth neuer hoo. The graue: a womans wombe closed: and the earth that hath neuer water ynough. As for fyre, it sayeth neuer hoo. |
| 30:17 | Who so laugheth hys father to scorne, and setteth hys mothers commaundement at naught: the rauens pycke out hys eyes in the valleye, and deuoured be he of the yonge Aegles. |
| 30:18 | There be thre thynges to hye for me, yea foure that passeth my knowledge. |
| 30:19 | The waye af an Aegle in the ayre, the waye of a serpent ouer a stone, the waye of a shyp in the see, and the waye of a man wyth a yonge woman. |
| 30:20 | Soch is the waye also of a wyfe that breaketh wedlocke, which wypeth her mouth lyke as when she hath eaten and sayeth: As for me. I haue done no harme. |
| 30:21 | Thorow thre thynges the earth is dysquieted, & the fourth may it not beare: |
| 30:22 | Thorow a seruaunt that beareth rule. Thorow a foole that hath to moche breed, |
| 30:23 | thorow a wife worthy hatered when she is maryed, and thorow an hand mayden that is heyre to her mastres. |
| 30:24 | These be foure thynges in the earth, the which are very lytle: but in wysdome they exceade the wyse |
| 30:25 | The emmettes are but weake people yet gather they theyr meate together in the haruest. |
| 30:26 | The Conyes are but a feble folke, yet make they theyr couches amonge the rockes. |
| 30:27 | The greshoppers haue not a gyde, yet go they forth together by heapes. |
| 30:28 | The spyder laboureth with her handes, & is in Kynges places. |
| 30:29 | There be thre thynges that go styfly, yea fowre ar comlye in goinge. |
| 30:30 | A Lyon, which is strongest among beastes, and geueth place to no man: |
| 30:31 | A grehounde stronge in the hynder partes: A ramme also & a Kyng, agaynst whom no man aryseth vp. |
| 30:32 | Yf thou hast done foolyshly whan thou wast in hye estate, or yf thou hast taken euell councell: then laye thyne hande vpon thy mouth. |
| 30:33 | Who so chyrmeth mylcke, maketh butter: and he that rubbeth hys nose, maketh it blede: Euen so he that causeth wrath bringeth forth stryfe. |

| 30:4 | Who stiede in to heuene, and cam doun? Who helde togidere the spirit in hise hondis? who bonde togidere watris as in a cloth? Who reiside alle the endis of erthe? What is name of hym? and what is the name of his sone, if thou knowist? |
| 30:5 | Ech word of God is a scheld set a fiere, to alle that hopen in hym. |
| 30:6 | Adde thou not ony thing to the wordis of hym, and thou be repreued, and be foundun a liere. |
| 30:7 | I preiede thee twei thingis; denye not thou to me, bifor that Y die. |
| 30:8 | Make thou fer fro me vanyte and wordis of leesyng; yyue thou not to me beggery and richessis; yyue thou oneli necessaries to my lijflode; |
| 30:9 | lest perauenture Y be fillid, and be drawun to denye, and seie, Who is the Lord? and lest Y compellid bi nedynesse, stele, and forswere the name of my God. |
| 30:10 | Accuse thou not a seruaunt to his lord, lest perauenture he curse thee, and thou falle doun. |
| 30:11 | A generacioun that cursith his fadir, and that blessith not his modir. |
| 30:12 | A generacioun that semeth cleene to it silf, and netheles is not waischun fro hise filthis. |
| 30:13 | A generacioun whose iyen ben hiy, and the iye liddis therof ben reisid in to hiy thingis. |
| 30:14 | A generacioun that hath swerdis for teeth, and etith with hise wank teeth; that it ete nedi men of erthe, and the porails of men. |
| 30:15 | The watir leche hath twei douytris, seiynge, Brynge, bringe. Thre thingis ben vnable to be fillid, and the fourthe, that seith neuere, It suffisith; |
| 30:16 | helle, and the mouth of the wombe, and the erthe which is neuere fillid with water; but fier seith neuere, It suffisith. |
| 30:17 | Crowis of the stronde picke out thilke iye, that scorneth the fadir, and that dispisith the child beryng of his modir; and the briddis of an egle ete that iye. |
| 30:18 | Thre thingis ben hard to me, and outirli Y knowe not the fourthe thing; |
| 30:19 | the weye of an egle in heuene, the weie of a serpent on a stoon, the weie of a schip in the myddil of the see, and the weie of a man in yong wexynge age. |
| 30:20 | Siche is the weie of a womman auowtresse, which etith, and wipith hir mouth, and seith, Y wrouyte not yuel. |
| 30:21 | The erthe is moued bi thre thingis, and the fourthe thing, which it may not susteyne; |
| 30:22 | bi a seruaunt, whanne he regneth; bi a fool, whanne he is fillid with mete; |
| 30:23 | bi an hateful womman, whanne sche is takun in matrymonye; and bi an handmaide, whanne sche is eir of hir ladi. |

| 30:25 | amtis, a feble puple, that maken redi mete in heruest to hem silf; |
| 30:26 | a hare, a puple vnmyyti, that settith his bed in a stoon; |

| 30:28 | and dwellith in the housis of kingis. |

| 30:30 | A lioun, strongeste of beestis, schal not drede at the meetyng of ony man; |
| 30:31 | a cok gird the leendis, and a ram, and noon is that schal ayenstonde him. |
| 30:32 | He that apperith a fool, aftir that he is reisid an hiy; for if he hadde vndurstonde, he hadde sett hond on his mouth. |
| 30:33 | Forsothe he that thristith strongli teetis, to drawe out mylk, thristith out botere; and he that smytith greetli, drawith out blood; and he that stirith iris, bringith forth discordis. |

| 30:11 | He that bryngeth vp an euell reporte vpo the generacion of his father and mother, is not worthy to be commended. |
| 30:12 | The generacion that thynke them selues cleane, shal not be clensed from their fylthynesse. |
| 30:13 | There are people yt haue a proude loke, and cast vp their eye lyddes. |
| 30:14 | This peoples tethe are swerdes, and with their chaft bones they consume and deuoure the symple of the earth, and the poore from amonge me. |
| 30:15 | This generacion (which is like an horsleche) hath two doughters: ye one is called, fetch hither: the other, brynge hither. |
| 30:16 | There be thre thinges that are neuer satisfied, and the fourth saieth neuer hoo. The hell, a womans wombe, and the earth hath neuer water ynough. As for fyre, it sayeth neuer: hoo. |
| 30:17 | Who so laugheth his father to scorne, and setteth his mothers commaudement at naught: the rauens pycke out his eyes in the valley, and deuoured be he of the yongle Aegles. |
| 30:18 | There be thre thinges to hye for me, and as for the fourth, it passeth my knowlege. |
